My habits are daily Bible reading, daily prayer, 15 minutes of general exercise, 15 minutes on my bike, and wash my face before bed. By the way Cass, I was at a garage sale of a crafter (I am a crafter/hourder) and I mentioned that I wanted so much more but I am a "BEE" style organizer and so I put back all the soft square cubbies because I need to see most of my stash or I forget where I put it. She got so excited and asked if I followed Cass too. I told her I do and we had a bit of a bonding moment. It was great, you've made a difference in both our lives.
Love this, this is just what I needed. 1. start my day off with protein 2. 5 minute tidy daily 3. Shower daily 4. Read scriptures for 5 minutes 5. Exercise daily
This is just what I needed! I have been feeling like I can’t stick to anything or change anything in my life. My small habits are to 1-short yoga and stretching every morning, 2- choose any snack that isn’t sugar, 3-read scriptures and pray, 4-floss everyday, 5-walk with my husband. Keep me accountable!!
Yes!! I have a list of scripture I want to memorize, I work on it occasionally but I want to be much more regular with it. I already stack my habits- so for every chore I do, (I follow the Clean Mama method, so I have 5 daily chores) I will do an exercise (I make the bed, then I do lunges,. I do the dishes, then I do my bicycle crunches...etc. This has worked really well!!) So now after reading this, I've decided to stack memorizing a verse after each chore and exercise. My problem is that I am a work first-play later person, so I feel like I can't relax and work on my reading and writing scripture until I feel my chores are done. Even my exercises are like "play time", because those are like for ME, know what I mean? Thanks so much for sharing! It's giving me a new mindset. ;)
Cass it’s so normal to be in a funk after a huge adventure like you had with filming the show! Don’t be too hard on yourself 🥰 Thanks for sharing. Love this challenge idea!
Always feels like a valley after being on a mountain top Even when you Know your regular life is pretty wonderful, the contrast to mountain top , well it feels like a dip down. Watch the protein, too much can trigger cancer growths. Ref: Dr Greger, Nutrition Facts
Exactly!! I’m always wiped out for a few days after a trip. And you had a very extended trip. Plus you probably had dopamine overload while you were in New York and filming etc., and then you come home and have to regulate standard dopamine hits! It’s real stuff for ADHD. Get lots of sleep- rest- etc… you will be back to normal in no time at all. 💞💞💞
I love this challenge and I am going to start with making my bed, 15 minutes of exercise, reading my Bible, cooking a healthy dinner, and sweeping my living area.
I went to a New Year’s Eve party about 20 years ago and we played a game where everyone wrote down their New Year’s resolutions and then we had to guess who wrote which ones. Mine was to make my bed every day. I have made my bed every day ever since! I think that’s the only resolution I have ever kept!
I've noticed that several of our RUclips gurus are needing to take a break or make a change lately. Allow yourself that time if you need it. Recharge. Re-center yourself. Come back Refreshed. We'll be here. ❤🌼
Mine would have to be: do the dishes before bed, put dishes away every morning, take a 1 hour lunch every day at work, take a walk ever day after work, take a multivitamin every day.
I like the 1 hour lunch idea. I am a job coach for adults with disabilities. Even though I do have an hour lunch, 98% of the time I don't use it. Most of that time I don't take a lunch at all! May be 30 minutes and build my way up to an hour???? Why do I feel so guilty for taking some down time?
Aw I can hear the sadness in your voice at the beginning ❤️ hope things start to lift up soon. Thank you for being so authentic and real. You are truly an inspiration in so many ways.
this is perfect I live with my mother who just found out she has diabetes and she is overwhelmed on everything, I keep telling her lets just do one step at a time and little by little we will get this under control. Unfortunately neither one of us have ever been good with sticking to things so im am hoping with all of you helping we can do 5 weeks of tiny changes and keep to it. I think we will start with cutting down to one soda a day, drink more water, exercise 15 mins, make a healthy dinner, and doing dishes everyday ... I hate that last one I would rather do laundry not a dishes person. lol
Glad you’re ok after the yellow jacket attack! Their sting is vicious! Next time really monitor yourself since you were stung several times, & don’t just think you’re being dramatic if you feel the least bit off. My friend recently had to be taken by ambulance b/c of one or 2 stings. Also, crazy as it sounds, if you get one of those pump sprayers folks use in the garden ($5 or so at WalMart) & put a bunch of blue Dawn dish liquid in it with water (no exact ration, but a bunch of Dawn-like maybe 1/2 a cup or more), I promise you that you can kill wasps & other bugs instantly without harming yourself, your pets, or the kids. It works like magic! And stop beating yourself up. You have accomplished SO much & are such an inspiration-& hilarious! You’ve been on-the-go for months b/c of of the tv show & just life in general. I think it’s normal to have a period of coming down after such frenetic activity. Peace & love from Tennessee!
@@gummybear8951 I doubt it b/c you have to spray the bugs directly. I suppose if you have a small squirt bottle, you could hold it in your hand & spray them if you’re sitting outside. I just know that wasps & other critters like that will drop instantly. For mosquitos there are these little things you can put in bird baths & other standing water to kill the larvae. Can’t think of the name, but you can get the product at Home Depot & probably at other places.
Omg I’m so glad you said you were in a funk. Me too! The organizing seems endless. I’m decluttering & minimizing everything. I guess it’s only been 7 months so I guess I need a year in. But it helps that I’m not the only one in a funk. Thank you for telling the truth. That unstuck me.
We can do this! It took me a full year to get my home organized, so don't be discouraged. The fact that you have stuck with organizing for 7 months is amazing. Congratulations!
Nancee you literally just posted exactly what was on my mind! All of it! We moved a few months ago and I started minimizing and decluttering last October. It does seem endless. Also in a funk!
Yes!!! Cass would freak if she seen my home🥴 I have only been super adamant for the last month! I’ve tried here and there but not like now. And Today I was like I can’t do this anymore it just doesn’t move and get better!! I have no space and trying to keep things separate for people I know that want the stuff is HARD!! But I live where a lot of kids don’t get new things or have never had nice things so I can’t just make myself not care and drop it at the donation place that’s literally 1/8mile away now! We have places in our community called the giving box and it started for food but ours has turned into anything bc it’s covered by an old gas pump Top. So YES I NEEDED THIS TODAY!!!!!😘 Now to unbury my printer and try to change the ink to see if it will work again bc I’ve been putting that off for two months now😉😉 #tinyhabits #microchangesmatter #@clutterbugisamazeballs
Nancee C and Amy... I promise, you are not alone... still on my decluttering journey, some struggles and discouragement come with the territory... trying to stay focused and positive and keep my eyes 👀 on the prize... I'm not where I wanna be yet... but my home and habits are not where they used to be either. Keep your head up ladies... one baby step at a time 😃 WE GOT THIS !
This is the motivation I needed! I would love to join you on this journey. I love that your goals are so attainable, I'm so sick of seeing videos of people who have the most unreal, ridiculous goals that they are perfect at immediately and never struggle to attain. You are real and I love it so much!!
I am so glad you are sharing your feelings, thoughts and life with us… I think we all go through this. Please take care and please keep making videos!!! We all love you!! 😍😍🥰
1.Get dressed everyday (out of lounge wear) 2.Move (exercise) 15 minutes a day 3.Tidy/declutter/organize 1 room a day 15 minutes at a time 4 times a day. Leftover time at end of hour do something outside to tidy or cleanup 4.Eat bigger lunch everyday, less at dinner
1. Exercise for 15 minutes every morning. 2. Drink water everyday. 3. Read or write before bed. 4. Declutter/ clean one area for 20 minutes 5. Cook healthy meals for the week on Saturday.
@@wendymafumo7797 how do you go about preparing meals for the entire week? I’ve always wanted to accomplish this but don’t really know how to begin. We have custody of two cousins and they only eat a handful of things, in the last three years our child has become extremely worse eating and being tidy with their influence😢
This sounds like a good idea. And I used to hate water so much I became ill from not drinking enough. I ended up adding spearmint extract to my water. I carry it with me wherever I go and add it if I feel like it. I have to say I actually don't hate plain water anymore. Ice helps. I also like specific bottled water. Smartwater, Dasani.....
Week 1) get up at 6 Week 2) laundry and dishes daily Week 3) shower and makeup daily Week 4) workout 15 minutes daily Week 5) meal prep Thank you for this.
I listened to your podcast about this yesterday morning. I was planning on bailing on a meeting because I was stressed out about a presentation later that day. You gave me the push to try it anyway and I was glad I went. "I can do hard things" I a helpful mantra for me too. I have been procrastinating and need to get back to doing the things that keep up the maintenance on my mental health.
I love this for so many reasons! I NEED this also! I love that you are so real and honest about yourself as well. Those moments in your videos when you say "I'm ashamed to admit....." those are the moments we all think.... she is really a regular person like we are. Thank you for sharing your raw self.
I’m going to do this challenge, my habits are to STOP SKIN PICKING, no phone time in the morning until I’ve either worked out or cleaned first (just something productive first), 15 min workout a day, 60 oz water day, 15 min reading a day, wake up at 7 am every morning.
Your wasp story melds so well with your habit change. Joe used a blow-torch to try to kill the wasps -- that is like you saying you are going to get up at 6am everyday, drink a large tumbler of water, go for a 30 minute run, read a new book before bed (OVERKILL that fails). You took the least you could do, change one small thing by adding wasp spray.
This video is right on time for me! I have been beating myself up for not doing the things that I know I should be doing daily. Drink more water, exercise, eat healthier, read more & consume less social media!
We had a yellow jackets nest and we bought a bug zapper that u mentioned but next time get a zapper that looks like tennis racket. Turn it on and lay over hole and when they try to come and go they get zapped and it kills them. That’s how we got rid of ours. Works great. Also after killed we put a little gas down in the next.
That coconut pineapple Crystal Light is amazing... That one & raspberry peach make me guzzle water and drinking water has been an issue since I had surgery. THIS is the video I needed! Thank you!
Cas, I’m going to do the exact same habits you are. I had gastric bypass last august, and like you I haven’t been able to get those habits made. I was just telling my husband that I needed to get my but in gear, this habit tracker is just what I Need!! Thanks for doing this! Terri
I am so happy to see this today. Hubby’s office just reopened after COVID and it has made my schedule so much more chaotic now that he is not around during the day so we were just discussing creating new habits last night. Things like working out before work, since he will be driving in the afternoon when we were working out, and reading before bed so we can get use to the earlier wake up time again. Looking forward to seeing your update
Your videos really work because you’re so normal and non pretentious! You’re beautiful but too down to earth, to care. I’m doing this challenge because you make it seem do-able! Thank you!
I’ve had that book for about three years now and haven’t made myself read it! With feeling bad alot and three kids and sports with life and clutter I always feel I don’t have personal time 😔
@@kendogg8179 I use audible to read most books and it helps when I’m Cleaning or cooking … I get it kids have kept me busy when they were younger. They are all adult now
Ok, I'm in! My sister told me about this challenge, so I thought I'd check it out. My first habit will be to get in the shower by 9am. I don't have trouble getting up early, I have trouble moving and doing ANYTHING after I get up. Today, I lazed around until 1:30pm IN THE AFTERNOON before I got in the shower and got started doing something productive. Other habits: walk 5 min per day (I can do that! It's just 5 minutes!), drinking more water (sounds like a universal need for most of us), Spend 5 min decluttering the bathroom (again, it's just 5 minutes, I can do that!), and wipe down the stove and counter daily. Thanks for getting me started and I hope I can stay motivated and be successful with this challenge.
I'm going to do this habit building challenge with you. I often stay up til all hours, so I don't get up until 10 or 12, or sometimes even later. My hubby gets up for work at 6. So my first new habit will be to stay up instead of going back to bed after he leaves. I don't know yet in what order, but the other four habits I want to develop are: *Increase my water intake *Exercise 15 minutes *Reduce sugar intake *Spend an hour each day working on my book
I listened to your podcast about how you were in a rut. This is a great idea! I am in and just got my printable! Thanks for motivating US even when you aren’t feeling it yourself!!
Thank you for this inspiration. I’m starting week 1 with daily scripture study and prayer. Week 2 will be to go for a walk-or even just get outside-each day. Week 3 will be daily dishes. Week 4 will be floss my teeth. Week 5 will be drink a glass of water before snacking. Now I will print off your chart and write it down so I’ll remember. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We must be in tune with each other! I started last week...I told myself just one step, one day, one thing and it has worked! Drink w/lemons, walk during my lunch break for 15 mins...
Wow Cassy you have changed so much. I feel like I haven’t watched your videos in such a long time. You look so great, you are doing great and I need to get back into the swing of Clutterbug. ❤️
Thanks for this, Cas! Maybe it's just what I need. I already do my dishes daily and shine my sink, I will add make the bed, take a vitamin, exercise for 15 minutes, declutter 1 item, and read a paper book for 10 minutes. (This will help me decide which books to declutter.)
I am working on getting processes that work for me. I have let things slip and am now feeling better about myself. These are things I do now : *I make my bed daily * Do dishes every other day ( single so few dishes unless I cook ) * Vacuum every other day or every day as needed * Wipe counter tops and stove * Laundry as needed * Trash out as needed Goal 1: wash and clean out refrigerator monthly, quick wipe, and straighten weekly. Goal 2: quick clean bathroom daily, monthly thorough cleaning
1 - Put the dishwasher on after dinner, 2 - Empty the dishwasher in the morning, 3 - Do yoga every morning, 4 - Do a 5 minute clean up every evening, 5 - Some kind of cleaning habit I haven't decided on 🙃
I love the book, Atomic habits. I have made many things a habit over time, such as make my bed, fill and empty the dishwasher, track my food, clean daily toilets, sinks, and vacuum floors, wash and moisturize my face morning and evening. Now, I want to challenge myself to plan a healthy dinner, read for 15 minutes a day, write for 15 minutes a day, exercise for 20 minutes a day, and declutter clothes and items I don't use.
Years ago I was at a the beach and gave a step back to throw a football and I stepped on a yellow jacket hive. yes, ouch, I got stung tons of times. My family saw me covered with them and began swatting me with towels. I wanted to go to sleep but no one would let me. It was a day to remember for sure. I hope you're feeling better Cas.
What a wonderful idea, I'm in! I have soooo many things I need to work on, it will be tough to pick just 5 😉. Intentional exercise is a big one for me, cooking dinner, cutting back on caffeine, doing the dishes every day, etc. This video has now motivated me to set up my new printer (which has been sitting in a box for two weeks) so I can print up the list!
Yes yes yes!!! I read this book last year along with my fellow staff members at work. LIFE CHANGING. and Cass… I’m a sloth too - I’m also in a FUNK. You are amazing for being vulnerable by admitting your weaknesses. Also… I’ve had WLS too. I’m 13 yrs out. Good for you to staying committed to your health goals. I am with you! I’m going to get Atomic Habits back out and resume with you and other clutterbugs ☺️
Drinking water has been hard for me too, but what helped is a brought a “pretty” water bottle off Amazon and I’ve been infusing my water. Adding a slice of lemon or some other fruit has helped a ton. I’m doing much better.
I have never been stung by a wasp, but when you said Yellow Jacket, I was like OMG!!!! I was stung by One many years ago and it was unbelievably painful! I'm glad you're ok! I've been reading for 21 minutes per day in 2021. It's going well. I'm in your course and was decluttering for at least 5 minutes per day. I did that for 82 days then stopped. I really need to get back to decluttering so my new goal is 15 minutes per day! Ready, set, go! 💃Thank you for all of your encouragement! Tammy in N AL, USA. 🙋♀️
I can completely identify with your pain. I stepped in a nest of yellow jackets when I was in high school at a church youth group meeting. I remember I screamed and people started running toward me and I was telling them get away! It was terrifying and painful as heck.. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
I'm in!!! Doing the dishes every day is definitely on my list. I struggle with self-care, so showering at least every other day is on my list. Decluttering for 15 minutes a day... I'll have to give the other two some thought. Our dog found a yellow jacket nest in our yard two days ago. Poor baby was traumatized. You should have seen my expression when you said get up at 8:00 a.m.! I've already had a half pot of coffee by then. I 'slept in' today; I got up at 6:15 🤣🤣🤣
Love this idea. I too have been wanting to get motivated. Perfect timing. I have been wanting to start walking and eat at least one meatless dinner a week. Thank you 😊
I am a musician that has gone through this many times. I would have a spectacular international project, ground breaking work, only woman in the mix of great players , spend many months prepping, then the month or week actually doing it, accolades a plenty, thriving on no sleep and raw energy... and then home and have to clean a house, buy groceries, do the same thing over and over. So don't feel bad, you are doing what comes naturally as now you are recharging without a big goal to give you the adrenalin push. Time to reset. I learned to recognize the post-project-blues, and then reboot. :)
I once stepped in middle of wasp nest when Dad or partner was haying. The best thing to do is wait until dusk or dark to spray up the hole to the nest.
Get outside and moving! I get up early, make the bed and do the dishes each day. But boy o boy do I need more healthy movement! Thanks for the inspiration,
Cass,I love that you are so sincere and Share your every day struggles with us you have encouraged me to change habits, habits, starting with: Waking up 5:00am.week one.
So sorry to hear about your wasp stings! They are terrible! I have been stung in the past, my hand blew up, had to get a shot of Benadryl. My son was on the riding mower cutting the lawn and was cutting around a tree that had a nest in a hole in the bottom of the tree and they started chasing and stinging him! Had jumped off the mower and ran in the house! Later sprayed the hole with wasp spray! Viscious little guys! God bless, stay safe!🙏❤🐝
OMG on your wasp story… My sister got me into JUST products, they are all made out of essential oils, I was kind of doubtful they would work. After using them I am sold! Now I keep an emergency kit for burns, itching (of a mosquito bite or wasp 🐝) a sore muscle (after exercise) they are great to have on hand, especially with kids around. You got me into the habit tracker… lately I have been having issues with my morning routine and feel “guilty” after oversleeping, so I am with you with the 8 a.m. routine! Let’s see how it goes 😣 thanks for sharing!
Oh yes, Count me in! I will decide the order later, but I want to work on: Lights out at 10 p.m. (fighting headaches) Making my bed in the morning Doing the dishes daily Folding away some laundry every night. A more advanced face routine (read: not just water, but a facewash and cream😇)
Great idea. I stayed dehydrated also. I actually take two medications because dehydration. While I was listening to you I got a bottle of water out and mixed in some new flavoring I got recently and it's pretty good. I think I can do the water thing
I just bought that book a couple of weeks ago, so I'm with you, I'm working to set some new habits of my own. 1) Go outside for 10 minutes. 2) Drink more water. Like you, I have a big bottle, but not as big, I don't think, and my goal is 3 a day. 3) Anytime I leave a room, put something in my hand that goes into another room. 4) Give myself some "me" time. I want to learn/practice a crochet stitch every night. 5) Wash all dishes and wipe out the sinks and counters around them. I've been doing good so far, so I'm considering what to add soon.
I’m in! Will start with: putting away my phone one hour before I go to bed. The other things I have to think about first 🤔 I love that you talk about the sleepy late thing. I just got a regular job- have been self employed for many years and all those years I had that getting up problem. Now I have to get up - otherwise that would be no.1 on my list as well 😝 Thank you for the inspiration, Cassie 🙏🏽🤩
Love this!!!! I’m a huge fan. :-) 1. Drink a gallon of water daily 2. Get ready for the day as soon as I wake up 3. Exercise for 15 minutes 4. Eat a protien with snacks 5. Read 15 minutes a day
My husband hangs these bags of fluid around the yard and house. I think they are wasp/hornet traps from Lowes or Home Depot. He thinks they work, I’m not sure. Hornets are mean, and I’m glad they have no clutterbug status.
I moved a big planter a few inches a couple of years ago. All of a sudden wasps were covering my ankle and leg. The pain was horrible! I know your pain. I went to urgent care and got some medicine. I know I will never move a big pot of flowers again ! Hope you are doing okay now. I love your idea for building habits!!!
I am so glad I found Clutterbug! I am a ladybug and my husband is a bee. I have tried the Marie Kondo approach and the home edit containers etc., and have became overwhelmed and stopped. I love the way you explain different organizing and cleaning styles and allow us all to be different, and not feel like everything has to be perfect. Thank you for your show and your great RUclips channel. I am starting with Drinking water, 20 min of walking or yoga, go outside everyday, Wake up before 8am (I'm off for the summer and can identify with you), and to take time to appreciate the people and things I currently have in my life.
You are Human!! It happens to all of us. This past year has been a whirl for me too. I expanded my business during this past year and it sure has been an adventure. Thank you for the printable.
I have been suffering from severe anxiety for several years and r a lot better (couldn't step out of my front door at the worst). I'm going to do this! My first is have a shower each evening then I am more likely to get dressed in the morning and not stay in my pjs all day which then stops me from leaving the house. Number 2 is eat 1 peice of fruit each day. I'm going to put some more thought into the other steps. Thank u Cass for coming up with this.
love listening to your podcasts and watching your videos! I like that your podcasts are short too, I can listen and learn and get motivated in a short amount of time! My five goals are 1 - get up at 7 (6:30 would be better but let's start with 7) 2 - read my Bible in the morning, 3 - walk or some exercise 15 min 5 days a week, 4 - declutter 15 min each day, 5 - clean the kitchen every day ( I tend to leave the dishes I have to hand wash for another day!) Thanks for all you do for the clutterbugs!
HINT: Wait until it gets dark and then kill the whole nest. They are all "at home" at night. Wasp & Hornet spray down the hole. I have heard old fashioned ideas of gasoline or oil down the hole, but that does have other potential hazards.
I`m so glad you survived waspgeddon.I think the funk most people are going thru is very real.Let`s see,our lives have been totally turned inside out by this stupid virus, covid. We are told daily if we get it,we could die,be on a resperator in the hospital,we can`t go to work, out to eat, visit family and friends, wear masks and sanitize till your hands bleed. How can we not be in a funk?I`ve done everything I can to survive this time in history.Knowing we are all going thru this,I`m not alone has helped. This challenge will do us good. And,I woke up today at 10,you`re not alone there sister.Love you woman.
I love your videos because he makes things up and provide different ideas because stuff gets boring and especially those people with ADHD like variety and even if something works one day it might not work the next so the fact that you mix things up for yourself is also amazing. Just because you know what to do or how to do it doesn't mean you will do it want to do it the same.
I'm in! I need motivation! Exercise for 15 minutes, make bed, do dishes, clear clutter, style my hair because I work from home and always put it up in a ponytail...
I haven't watch u at all Cass or in fact anyone on Utube... But what I want to say one day last WK I watched u on ur new show Hot mess wow I was so surprised n so happy for u !! With the pandemic life's been so hard n different but, I'm getting through n praying ,for everyone too. U have n give inspiration to us all n I was so happy for u n ur success... Good luck on all ur journeys n take care u look great never change Cass ... Always be u okay ... Bless u & ur family ❤️
You always make me smile but I can totally relate. Last summer I stepped on a hive of ground bees and they all came out and stung the living daylights out of me....As my husband is trying to help me, he is getting stung everywhere. We spent the next few hours removing stingers from each other......so awful. He ended up killing ours with a spray and pouring boiling water into the ground. Yes, I need to be accountable.....I need to stop all the snacking and exercise 5 times a week instead of hit and miss. I need to continue to purge and spend 30 minutes a day doing it. So love your channel.
1. start my day off with protein
2. 5 minute tidy daily
3. Shower daily
4. Read scriptures for 5 minutes
5. Exercise daily
Your list is almost exactly what I would say too 💗
love that!!!
Love these!!!
I need to add flossing to my list
Those habits sound amazing.... well worth pursuing and making them stick !
Good ones!!
So true. I’ve heard this from so many after big things, like running marathons or reaching other big goals. It’s normal. (Still sucks though!)
Always feels like a valley after being on a mountain top Even when you Know your regular life is pretty wonderful, the contrast to mountain top , well it feels like a dip down.
Watch the protein, too much can trigger cancer growths. Ref: Dr Greger, Nutrition Facts
That makes sense, it’s probably almost like a recovery period from all the busyness and demand in the lifestyle she was living while filming.
These are good ones!

Mine would have to be: do the dishes before bed, put dishes away every morning, take a 1 hour lunch every day at work, take a walk ever day after work, take a multivitamin every day.
On paper sounds so easy doesn't it! Yet we have to force ourselves to do this.
ooh, the mulitvitamin one is a great idea! I haven't taken one in years....not since my last pregnancy,...5 yrs ago!
I hate that last one I would rather do laundry not a dishes person. lol
Some of your merch should say. . . "I'm mainly here for the story at the end" because it's true
Hi, great tip, but you don't need much dish soap, just a little works... there are youtube videos about this
@@moonxshakti The sprayer I used holds 5 gallons of liquid, so I put in a bunch of DAWN, just to be sure. Those wasps dropped like crazy!
Does it work for mosquitos too? We have a lot this year. I mean the dawn soap.
I'm so proud of you! You're plugging along and getting it done! Woo-hoooo!
1.Get dressed everyday (out of lounge wear)
2.Move (exercise) 15 minutes a day
3.Tidy/declutter/organize 1 room a day 15 minutes at a time 4 times a day. Leftover time at end of hour do something outside to tidy or cleanup
4.Eat bigger lunch everyday, less at dinner
1. Exercise for 15 minutes every morning.
2. Drink water everyday.
3. Read or write before bed.
4. Declutter/ clean one area for 20 minutes
5. Cook healthy meals for the week on Saturday.
Get dressed EVERY day? But i don’t wanna. Lol. I’d be setting myself up for failure if I put that on mine
@@wendymafumo7797 how do you go about preparing meals for the entire week? I’ve always wanted to accomplish this but don’t really know how to begin. We have custody of two cousins and they only eat a handful of things, in the last three years our child has become extremely worse eating and being tidy with their influence😢
I really like yours
@@catherine380 it’s hard, but I really want to try. I’d rather stay in my loungewear. By loungewear I mean pajamas 😀
Just a suggestion, but you many want to switch week 4 with your week 3 so that your hydrated for your workouts when you do them.
Week 1) get up at 6
Week 2) laundry and dishes daily
Week 3) shower and makeup daily
Week 4) workout 15 minutes daily
Week 5) meal prep
Thank you for this.
Omg, I love that Milo’s list says, “Tell someone I love them and give them a hug.“ 😍
You are SO encouraging and your upbeat, real and fun personality makes others drawn to your energy! Thank you for your videos!
Love the honesty in your videos. Not setting unattainable goals, that there's no way I could get to. Baby steps work better for me too.
Thank you!
I'm with you about the taste of water! Blahhh. I also use flavor enhancers!!!!
This is exactly what we need in this house!!! THANK YOU! me and my husband are IN!!!!!
I’m with you! 👍🏻💕☘️ …evening skin care routine, 20 minute zone cleaning, self care…. That’s enough to get me started 😃
I’m in a bit of a slump as well. Thanks for the gentle kick in the butt!
Cas, I’m going to do the exact same habits you are. I had gastric bypass last august, and like you I haven’t been able to get those habits made. I was just telling my husband that I needed to get my but in gear, this habit tracker is just what I Need!! Thanks for doing this!
Terri
We can do this together!
I had bypass surgery in November 19, I have totally gotten off track with eating so that is one of my new habits.
Me too
I paused you at 2:41 and set my alarm for 8 am everyday! Just this WILL change my life for the better. Thanks for the push.
Thank you!
Cass “the slight edge “ is amazing which really compliments and add depth to “atomic habits”
The Slight Edge is one of my favorites. I reread it every so often. The Compound Effect is also excellent.
I don't know yet in what order, but the other four habits I want to develop are:
*Increase my water intake
*Exercise 15 minutes
*Reduce sugar intake
*Spend an hour each day working on my book
Meal planning is my nemesis that is what my top priority in the challenge will be! Let’s rock this Cass!
I listened to your podcast about how you were in a rut. This is a great idea! I am in and just got my printable! Thanks for motivating US even when you aren’t feeling it yourself!!
I will be joining you on this Quest, Journey, and challenge. Thank you. 😊
The key to waking up early no matter what it is, is do not snooze. I started this new year’s 2020 & have not stopped. It makes a huge difference
These are really good new habits!
I’m in 😘 thank goodness you’re safe that’s the main thing . And thanks a lot we’re all gonna get out of this funk together 💪
This is wonderful. Mine are similar , especially the reading and exercise( I love getting up early but struggle getting to bed early).
Same Here ! I'm not sure how do it ?
I am working on getting processes that work for me. I have let things slip and am now feeling better about myself. These are things I do now :
*I make my bed daily
* Do dishes every other day ( single so few dishes unless I cook )
* Vacuum every other day or every day as needed
* Wipe counter tops and stove
* Laundry as needed
* Trash out as needed
Goal 1: wash and clean out refrigerator monthly, quick wipe, and straighten weekly.
We’re all feeling the same ❤️
Years ago I was at a the beach and gave a step back to throw a football and I stepped on a yellow jacket hive. yes, ouch, I got stung tons of times.
I got stung by ONE wasp when I was helping my grandmom in the garden and it was agony. I cannot imagine multiple stings. I'm so glad you are okay ❤️
Cass!! Thank you for this ! We NEED more Hot Mess House episodes!! Who do I need to call, email, write at HGTV!!? 😍
I agree, more Hot Mess House!!!
YAAASSSSSS!!!!!! Best idea!!!!!
Great idea! I have that problem, too. May I know what water bottle you bought? I am having trouble finding a good water bottle. Thanks.
I add water enhancers I get from Walmart...little bottles, you squeeze in as little or much as you want. Love the fruit punch and sweet tea ones!
I do believe I just read all 526 comments. Wish I could get that engrossed in house chores and decluttering.
I 'slept in' today; I got up at 6:15 🤣🤣🤣
Cindy, I am up between 2 and 3am, after going to bed around 10:30 or so. I wouldn't know what to do if I slept till 8 lol
How do you get up so early I truly want to do that it’s so much more productive!
@lisa porch major bad insomnia. Three or four hours of sleep a night is definitely not a good idea.
I shower as soon as my body wakes up.... showering quickly before my brain wakes up! 🤣
Same! Thanks for the push! Week 1-Exercise for at least15 minutes every day
Love this idea. I too have been wanting to get motivated. Perfect timing. I have been wanting to start walking and eat at least one meatless dinner a week. Thank you 😊
I'm in! Take my vitamins, drink my water, shut down negative thinking, meditate, and journaling. Thank you Cass!!
I so feel this! I have been in a funk as well. Everything feels so heavy right now. We got this! Also, as always thanks for the chuckle at the end!
The best thing to do is wait until dusk or dark to spray up the hole to the nest.
your video was like a gift to me. thank you. i'm happy you popped up!!
Love this whole video. Thank you for being real and sharing your family’s goals. I enjoyed your wasp story also, you such a great story teller 😀
Get outside and moving! I get up early, make the bed and do the dishes each day. But boy o boy do I need more healthy movement! Thanks for the inspiration,
Cass,I love that you are so sincere and Share your every day struggles with us you have encouraged me to change habits, habits, starting with:
Waking up 5:00am.week one.
I love your story telling. I'm glad your ok. My challenges would be getting up at 6am, getting dressed, reading, exorcising and cooking meals.
Keeping up with dishes is a struggle it is on my list!! Some days we use 40 plates in a day... home daycare mama.
I will decide the order later, but I want to work on:
Lights out at 10 p.m. (fighting headaches)
Making my bed in the morning
Doing the dishes daily
Folding away some laundry every night.
The other things I have to think about first 🤔
I love that you talk about the sleepy late thing. I just got a regular job- have been self employed for many years and all those years I had that getting up problem. Now I have to get up - otherwise that would be no.1 on my list as well 😝
Thank you for the inspiration, Cassie 🙏🏽🤩
Phone away an hour before bed IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA! ☆☆☆☆☆ I was thinking something along those lines & you put it into perfect perspective!
Phone before bed and first thing in the morning are my downfalls. I can't stop once I start. So much time wasted and difficulty sleeping.
I so needed this today! I’m a stay at home wife now keeping my grandbaby during the week. I need accountability! I’m in👍👏
I needed this!!! Thank you!! Just got through listening to Atomic habits on audible. It was so good I am gonna buy a hard copy.
Love this!!!! I’m a huge fan. :-)
1. Drink a gallon of water daily
2. Get ready for the day as soon as I wake up
3. Exercise for 15 minutes
4. Eat a protien with snacks
The moral of this story is: Joe, listen to Cas when she says to get wasp spray.
Do Noom everyday, 8 glasses of water, 15 minutes activity, think on other 2
I have been doing Noom for 2 months now (down 9.5 lbs) so already doing some good (new) habits. Will now add some more to do with Cas!
love listening to your podcasts and watching your videos!
Hot water, orange oil and dish soap kills them almost instantly and it's not poison. 😁
And,I woke up today at 10,you`re not alone there sister.Love you woman.
the moral of that story is: listen to your wife, just do as she says 😅
Agree! Let’s do this! 5 things: drink water, Meditate, go outside, lights out at midnight, and give my self a break everyday.
I am in for the 5 week challenge.
I need to declutter my craft room and my closet and many other closets in my house. Let’s start!!
