14:30 just to clarify their is a SMALL ledge or lip that the larger inner race sits on. It’s easy to miss. You might think the race race needs to be driven all the way to the larger ledge that I am talking about but that’s not so.
Never seen one of those fail at less than 300k. The seal probably dried out and let grease out and moisture in. None of the ABS equipped Volvos have the dual lines for the front calipers. Makes life so much easier than these Girling calipers.
@@idonotwantahandle2 yeah the bearings you see in the video were probably fine. The passenger side bearing had far too much play. At 270,000 known miles I figured it was a good time to change them both.
I would not worry too much about it. These are basically standard bearings like existed on every RWD car ever made. Most would just say “finger tight” pick whatever manual you happen to have follow the procedure and it will be fine.
Superb video. Many thanks.
This video was remarkably detailed and extremely helpful. Thank you for the time and effort put into it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Dan!
