4.29.10 London: Ramin Karimloo, Sierra Boggess, Joseph Millson, Liz Robertson, Summer Strallen, Louise Madison (u/s Fleck), Charlie Manton Развлечения
Australian wig + London dress = PERFECT!
Sierra is my number one christine but anna is a close second
Thanks!
aw, how adorably graceful of you.
IMHOO, the difference is non-sensical. You both have the same technical prowess...but that HEARTFELT once in a lifetime performance of yours...just melts hearts.
Sierra's intepretation of this song is too happy. Anna delivers that flawless painful agony stemming from an inexhaustible inner conflict, which is what the song is about.
Sierra is THE Christine in POTO, the standard against which every future performances are measured
Anna is THE Christine in LND, the standard against which every future performances are measured
I agree
I just love how much development sierra shows vocally in this song. In the very beginning not very strong conflicted, to in the middle halfway strong some what confident to a point, to then at 5 mins a total change of strength and confidence in her choice. It's really beautiful to watch!!!! No one does this better then her!!!!
Yeah but... Sierra's voice strains a lot in this and she overreacts. I still would prefer Anna for LND since she's most accurate to the maturity and dark side of Christine.
i be honest I thought Christine was less naive in this and more assertive with the phantom!😋
I love how you can tell Christine has matured:)
this performance brings me to tears
Is it normal to want to marry Sierra every time I hear her sing?
I’m playing Christine in the phantom of the opera Thursday 2 of April Concert at my house
Omg Sierra Boggess is a goddess
Wow - what a performance. Fabulous vocal range and great stage craft.
And I love her costume, better than Anna's in my opinion
Eh...
Yes, it has a class and simplicity that Anna's doesn't really have...
GORGEOUS!!! FLAWLESS!!!! I love her! I'm so glad I got the chance to meet her!!!
This was beyond amazing! She acted, felt, sang...Wow!!! Would have stood up if I was there! They should bring back the show w them!
Listen to how long she holds those notes! Amazing! I just watched the Australian version and the tempo is so much faster, so those high notes are glossed right over. I love this. Sierra is perfect as Christine. Thanks for posting!!
Beautiful singing, miserable story.
The show destroys the Phantom's redemption in the last scene of Phantom of the Opera and shows him selfishly pursuing what HE wants. Never mind who gets hurt. In this story, the Phantom character is responsible for Meg's virtual destruction, Christine's death, and the boy being left motherless.
---But, hey, he got to hear her sing again so it's all so romantic and lovely.
Is there a DVD or a watchable version of the Sierra and Ramin's love never dies?
Sadly, no
Her voice and passion in her singing gives me chills every time I hear her..the only Christine I need💗
it looks like she sings for you!
The way she looks in the camera.
Awesome!!!
Wish i knew about this a few years ago!!
Would have loved to see the show!!
Well,,, what ever is said, you have to admit it's a pretty impressive performance. Thank you for posting.
Sierra . . . you are my idol. this was beautifully done!!
I'm sorry but what's going on with the Christine wig in this version
The same question...
Idk man you ever dig the wigs and Ramin's makeup needed to be fired
They were trying to go with the time period. Many women in that social status had their hair up in some elaborate way to display their status.
A lot of it is how close whomever recorded this filmed her. Stage hair, costume, and make-up are pretty ridiculous that close but from an audience distance it works because if it weren't so exaggerated it wouldn't read.
None of you guys are answering her question I think she means it doesn't look like the London version
She's too perfect, I can't even.
this is one of the most touching performances I've ever seen. Amazing! I'd love to be her!!
This song gives me goose bumps .... I feel like crying !
I love Ramin and Sierra but I'm also very proud of our Australian cast. I think they did a great job, and they're really nice people too.
Amazing!
Does anyone know where I can watch THIS VERSION online? I've seen the version with Anna many times.... but I hear this one is much better... and I definitely see Sierra and Ramin as my phantom and christine. Anyone who can help will earn 50 internet cookies.
That's what everyone's trying to figure out. It doesn't seem like anyone recorded it :(
+Emma Taub I believe there are some recordings of the full London performance, but they're similar in quality to this one...
I feel the person from the dvd recording perfectly showed how fast Christine had to mature and take for her son. Her accent is flawless and acting is almost flawless, and she showed how Christine loved Erik and Gustave until her end. Sierra has a slightly over the top accent in love never dies but shows the conflict Christine is having internally perfectly. To be honest I feel Sierra does better in phantom becuase then she can play a carefree lady, not a mother who has had to mature beyond her years becuase of her husbands gambling and drinking.
wow she gives me chills during those high notes at the end. great job! beautiful necklace haha
This song brings tears in my eyes! So sad and yet so beautiful
I cant stop watching this, thanks so much for posting!
One of the main things that consistently amazes me about Sierra is her breath capacity and support for those long, long phrases
Love this video!! You are amazing, Sierra!!
Ilove sierra's version
I love that this is the last song she sings in front of a crowd before she dies
My God, that was glorious! She is the epitome of talent.
LOVE HER SO MUCH, hate the hair!!! How dare they smother an angel with something as ughhhh as that?!
Anna didn't have half the passion that Sierra had in this song. Bravo Sierra!
I love Sierra!! I think she did a waaaaay better job.
Disagree, everyone's different, thats what makes these musicals so exciting :)
Hannah I know I totally agree her voice never changed in this song. There was never that ahaa moment with Anna vocally. With Sierra not only do u see her transformation acting wise near the end but vocally after singing hearts may get broken love endures her "love never dies love will continue ect" at 5:12 her voice is totally different so strong and confident in her choice. There's none of that with Anna she sounds exactly the same throughout there's no development of the scene with Anna!
+Antoinette Thompson Disagree. Anna shows much better understanding of the character, even though both girls sing the song beautifully.
+SoHills VetTech somehow I still find Anna's voice stronger and better for this song. I think you can clearly see all christine's emotions in Anna's performance, she isn't even overacting...
GOD DAMNIT I'M 2 YEARS TOO LATE!!!!!
Sierra is so pretty but like Christine in Love Never Dies she is so strange (The wig or hair, doesn't matter, makes her strange). I like her more like Christine in POTO
Yes but imagine that here Christine is 30 and she is a mother so has changed a lot and in POTO she is just a teenager 20 years old. So yeah
love her.
You should put the whole play on youtube. I would love to hear sierra and ramin more after "10 years" lol
she's so beautiful
I love this song so much and Sierra! When she sings, you can feel everything she can feel! She'll always be my favorite Christine! If they filmed "Love Never Dies" with Sierra and Ramin, "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Love Never Dies" would have the same Phantom and Christine.
Thank you!
6:16 I think Sierra saw this person Filming and was like, “Gotcha Bitch, I see you.”
Malory Rackauckas If you look at her eyes a few secounds after that also, she’s doing some wired ass shit with them lol
I'm in tears
Love never dies
is it possible for someone to be that beautiful and talented? my god, the power and feeling in her performance takes my breath away. i admit that i like the australian production's costume and sets better, but the voices and talent in OLC....there are no words to describe it.
thank you!!! thought I was the only one who noticed :D
She doesn't even look like she's trying! She looks so elegant when she sings that high part at the end. When i try to sing that, I look like someone just shot me in the leg.... She gave me chills. i love her!
Excellent excellent excellent
Amazing :)
Its my life dream to meet sierra
I wanna be Sierra Boggess when I grow up. Such an amazing talent.
Sierra is just amazing and she sings all of it with such ease it is unbelievable :0 she is so amazing!!!
Madame Giry and Meg apparently got youtube accounts and disliked this amazing video. Because only insane people could possibly do that.
The show is going to be in LA sometime next year
Do you have any more footage from this play? I absolutely love Sierra and Ramin
she did this way better live then on the album
The feels
It's bad that Ramin and Sierra aren't at 'Love never dies'
Love her/ Love them!*-*
i think the techniques that are used in the Australian cast are really amazing, but the first show remains the best.
Can anyone remember in the early London production.... when Christine get shot I remember blood comes out of her dress as she holds her stomach. Does anyone else remember this and why did they change that for the Australian production?
BRAVAAAAA
perfet, but Anna Obyrne its perfecto to, absolutely beautifull both
amen.
"Hangs on the tailcoat"
After finding that nobody believed the LND was'nt a sequel to POTO ("It's a stand-alone show"), they went in the opposite direction and added all sorts of POTO references and quotations. ---So audience members could say "Awwwwwwww, it PHANTOM!"
I'm angry that they never recorded the London performance! If anyone has an idea where we can find it, please share! I
I really want Emmy rossum to sing this... That's all I ask
...of you
Good one sage. But Emmy wouldn't have done it justice at all. Sierra is just a goddess
yes, I love Emmy, but opera isn't strong point in singing, i think if they dropped it an octave she would song beautiful doing it, but Sierra is one of the best christines ever
Out of all the Christines, Emmy's style of singing is the style I like the most and, in my opinion, matches the role of Christine the most. But if she were to perform live, especially entire shows, I doubt she can do as well as she did in the film (especially since it was recorded in the studio). My favourite live Christine would be Anna. Sierra is a sensational singer but she doesn't really seem to embody the character Christine (in my personal opinion). The character Christine, in my mind, emanates a particular purity and innocence but also a hidden deepness and complexity (which, I'm afraid, Emmy lacked). Just my opinion.
Emmy wouldn't do this song justice her voice isn't strong enough. Sierra and Anna just use so much emotion and there voices are stronger so they do this song the justice it deserves.
She has a deeper tone and a cooler interpretation than Anne. I like her more.
How could they make young Sierra looks older than 10 years later on 2011 show, LOL
@sarapaintgirl I noticed that too!! The beads around her arms!
Yeah :/
I haven't seen the stage production, but I've seen it on here, and it's brilliant. I guess people weren't too keen on the idea of there being a sequel to PotO.
Has anyone else noticed that her costume for this is just like the one for think of me from phantom of the opera just a different color. I love planned costume similarities in sequels!
i love how it looks like she's lookin directly into the camera at 6:05 and 6:16 :)
The funny thing is this was supposed to 10 years after POTO and this was in 2010
Don't get me wrong, I adore her and think she's an amazing talent but if you turn the sound down and ignore the bling...it's Madam Butterfly.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Do you have more videos from LND
I guess it got a frosty reception in London, at least that's what my understanding is.
the set and costumes are way better in the Australian version :)
Yeah, but ramin and sierra acted and sang better. There was so much chemistry between them. Anna looked as if she was angry the entire time. Everytime she sang together with Ben I thought "Show some love woman!" :)) And I guess I'm the only person that didn't like Anna's dress when she sang "Love never dies". Though I think Anna's wig was better. :)
Ur not alone I don't like that dress either
CristinaWithoutAn H I agree on the liking Sierra's dress and necklace more. My perfect version of LND would be: Sets=Aussie, Costumes=All Aussie, except the LND dress and necklace. London's LND dress and necklace are so much prettier, to me at least. Story= Aussie (Loved the rewrites and re-staging staging) Cast: Phantom= Ramin Karimloo, Christine= Sierra Boggess, Raoul= Simon Gleeson, Gustave= Alexander Hockaday, Meg= Summer Strallen, M. Giry= Maria Mercedes and Flech/Squelch/Gangle=Aussie Cast. That would be my perfect version of this wonderful show. =)
Megan I couldn't agree more with everything he said!
Odid you know that the phantom actually made that necklace just to give it to her.... *dies and goes to phantom heaven* and that that dress she's wearing was made with swarovsky elements and it's f*ckin amazing!!
Do you have the entire show? I'd love to trade!
shiny!!!
do you have more love never dies videos?
Sierra is amazing.
Does someone has the whole show or the whole songs?
Is this before the change?
preachh
does anyone know where i can find the full london performance?
She's a modern day Mary Eaton
does anyone know what scene this song comes after? ive never seen the show can you describe what leads up to this?
Great playlist, but why does it end where it ends? Where's the ending?
lol true
They wanted to keep the show moving along. So instead of her changing, the Phantom & Christine run out to find Meg and Gustave right away. I like it that way. You can see the desperation in their faces when they realizes their son is in mortal danger. It makes perfect sense. Why would a loving parent even bother changing when your child is in peril?
Question, when she starts singing through half way of the song she is singing tl Raoul but when she turns around then she starts singing tl the phantom???
Yeesh, no need to be harsh. She is wonderful, talented and better than the way you find her.
Does anyone know where u can find the original love never dies on DVD? I have the Australian version but I really want the original. Please send me a message if you know anything! Thanks
There are none.
at 6:05 she looks directly to the camera! :)
Is this part 2 of POTO???
yes it is
+Kirsten Bucket this is a sequel called Love Never Dies, so it is not the second act if thats what you mean by "part 2" :) personally i think the plot is a pile of horseshit with major plotholes, but most of the music is good even though its not quite up to PoTO standards haha
the london cast should have aussies set
Eventhough The Australian version is good (And the dress in that version is beautiful, I've got to admit it) Anna cannot hold notes as long and high and Sierra
Yeah but... Sierra's voice strains a lot in this and she overreacts. I still would prefer Anna for LND since she's most accurate to the maturity and dark side of Christine.
6:06 staring at my soul
She's amazing! 😍❤️👏🏻
I would love to hear Sarah Brightman sing this.....twenty-five years ago....
