The common tuning issues with 2000s era SGs is 1. The cheap plastic nut and also the Factory set angle between the tailpiece and bridge. I had a 2010 SG standard and it was hopeless at staying in tune. I got a replacement carbon fibre nut and made the tail piece higher to reduce the angle and now it keeps tune very well. The tailpiece to bridge angle ,if too severe stops the strings rolling over the bridge when tuning... The stock vintage tuners are absolutely fine..
I almost bought this guitar but then i played a guild polara and was suprised of the quality for a korean guitar. As for the gibson its a gibson by name other then that to me it feels like a 400.00 guitar thats 800.00 just cuz it says gibson
I am eyeing this guitar, but also bought a Polara a few months ago and it's impressive. I wasn't 100% sold at first because its so heavy, especially compared to my SG Special. But it's a beast and I'm keeping it.
Round neck like a full bat guard standard? If so I will check reverb, but Im tossing those pickups for p90s and yeah mini grovers on all SGs.. Must have for me.
