I have this colour and 3 other’s in this range and they are a dream to work with. You get plenty too! Personally, I like to burnish for optimum effect. Adding some gold flakes adds another interest if you need to bling it up further. Thank you for sharing ❤
This is such a helpful video. I always thought, it would be recommended (from other brands) to put the glitter on a no wipe top coat, but that hasn't worked for me at all. Thank you!
Hiya sorry to ask such a silly question I'm new to nails... do you put anything on your brush for the glitter to stick to when picking it out of the pot? My glitter doesn't stick to the brush maybe the brush isn't very good
Paige Charles you can dip it in gel and wipe it off really good so that it's barely sticky and the glitter will stick much better to the brush but still come off onto the nail
I know this is a old post but I also have this hand, how do you cure the nails in lamp do you just place your practice hand under the lamp I did try that way but was very awkward lol!
Great video, do you keep a separate brush for the glitters as well as a separate top coat, if so, which brush would you recommend for the glitter? TFS :)
Susan Fraser Sorry for the late reply. I do indeed have a nice soft gel brush for my glitters that I only use for glitters. Top coat wise always better to have a separate top coat. Hth Tfs 💅💯❤
Hi ! thank you for this video it will served me for sure ! One question for you … Is it possible to use different brand of gel and base and top coat when you do a manicure ????
I’m also wondering, the brush she uses to pick up the glitter, is it wet? What does she use to wet it if so? Glitter doesn’t grab onto dry brushes like that... in the past when I’ve had my nails done, the nail tech would sweep the glitter onto my nail, same technique as acrylic.. however I never paid attention to whether or not she would wet the brush.. I do remember she would put a top coat of gel, cure it under the light, once it was done, she would apply the glitter, add another layer of top coat, cure it again with the light and once it was done , use the alcohol wipes to remove the tackyness that’s left on, and she would be done ..
Hi, I found your tutorial really helpful, do you have a tutorial on metallic nails? Every time I try, the effect is not as metal looking as I'd like, it still looks a little glittery!! I have a top quality metallic glitter too, so I'm not sure why the effect isn't as good as the pictures I've seen?? Thank you.
You have to make sure you brush off your nail really well before applying the top coat. I use a fan brush because it can get into the crevices nicely. Make sure you get all around the cuticle and under the nail too. Also, try using a new top coat since the one you have used before may have the little metallic flakes in it already from failed attempts before (I ran into that problem as well).
Thanks so much Zoe. I've tried to look through my paper work and I can't find who it was. I do however know it was from eBay and I think I just simply tapped in Lint Free Wipes. Hope you manage to find them lovely ❤💅
Katie Martin you're suppose to use a non-wipe top coat to get that tackiness for the glitter/powder to adhere to the nail. At least that is one way to do it.
Lilo S. No wipe top coats don't have a tacky layer though hence the "no wipe" description. Glitter works only with regular gel top coats that have the adhesion after after curing.
Patricia White Hi there Patricia you can purchase our glitters via our website www.weheartnailsuk.com if I can help you with anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me 💅❤

Great vid! This is the best glitter application tutorial I've seen this far
Did you cure the polish before starting to apply the powder ? Thanks

❤️❤️❤️I really appreciated this tutorial!
Great video. How long do you cure for? I have watched so many videos and rarely anyone says the cure time
Thank you. I used your video and the comments to glitter a nail on each hand with gel for the first time and it turned out great!
I hope one day you come back to RUclips and get tons of views
Great tutorial! Do you have a tutorial on how you did your nails, that holo glitter stencil effect you have on them?

Did you apply the glitter to the moisture layer after you cured the color??
doesn't glitter stick on and spoil the clear nail polish brush?
Great video, was this glitter loose?

This video has been so helpful thanks so much! Also, where did you purchase your brushes please? x
Does it have to have a colour underneath or can it go straight on to a base coat?
Gr8 tutorial, very helpful Hun. Tfs xoxo
Thank you, that was very helpful !!
Are you supposed to cure before packing the glitter or do you wait for it to dry down on its own! She didn’t specify!!

Yes you need to cure the gel colour then there will be an inhibition layer (sticky layer) that the glitter sticks to.
Do you put glitter on wet coloured coat or do you cure coloured gel and apply to dry nail,

Patricia White You certainly can our shipping to Oz takes about 7 working days and is fully tracked and signed for :)
On the first method, you applied the top coat twice, why is this?xx
Amber Louise Hi Amber, the first coat seals in the glitter and the second coat leaves you with a super smooth finish. Hth :)
Can you use this method with gel polish and loose glitter without a lamp please?
Gel polish won't cure without a lamp
Olivia Brown Thank you I've just bought a new lamp. 😀👍🏻

Lourdes baby Hi there, it's one of our glitters Totally Teal in 004 hex holo range. You can find it on our website www.weheartnailsuk.com 💕💅🏻
love this video so much do you apply the glitter while the gel polish is still wet?
Katie Martin you're suppose to use a non-wipe top coat to get that tackiness for the glitter/powder to adhere to the nail. At least that is one way to do it.
She cured the polish and applied the glitter to the tacky residue that remains after curing.
Lilo S. No wipe top coats don't have a tacky layer though hence the "no wipe" description. Glitter works only with regular gel top coats that have the adhesion after after curing.
Loved it thankyou xox
