- Majority of our videos are about travel and adventure, but not every day is like that. Our days are filled with cooking, doing chores in around our little home in Tokyo, and editing. So much editing!
In this video, Martina will give you a mini-tutorial on how she edits our RUclips videos, you'll get a slow cooker recipe from Simon, and despite Martina's struggles with her EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) getting in the way of her day, she works to #buildaladder and overcome her sadness. HECK YES!

You’re a good man Simon! Both of you are awesome.
Thanks homie. I hope you’re doing well :)
Whaaaat Mikey!! I just drooled over your noodle video - loved when you guys collabed hope you get to just eat and talk with the adorable Simon and Martina - I’m still scared 😱 of that lady bringing endless 🍲
I love to see RUclipsrs supporting each other. Mike you are also one of my favorites.
Literally just watched your LA dry aged Korean BBQ video, and this was in the recommend list. First video I've seen, but they are so darn cute. XD
Mike Chen! Your videos cheer me up too!
Simon's like 30sec rant mocking those who measure their herbs is gold.
I'm like Simon.. I put shit tons of herbs in all my cooking.. :D
This pops into my head all the time when cooking. I’m like... how much should I put in...? And all of of a sudden I hear “hold-up Simon, you’re gunna over-herb it!” And I’m like “nah... I can’t over herb it...”😂
I always tear up when I see how supportive and encouraging Simon is to Martina. Just warms up my heart. You two are the best and I hope to develop the type of selfless, generous, giving, supportive, positive, overflowing love you have for one another with my significant other as well. Thanks for spreading the love! You‘re both amazing.
Simon, you are a fine example of a man, a gentleman.
He's a fine example of a human being.
7:50 fine example of a can opener
Watching this brings me hope that I’ll have a relationship like theirs one day. They both strive to bring each other joy or support each other when the other needs it. Thank you for letting us get a glimpse of your day. And thank you Martina for sharing your ups and downs along with how you pull yourself out of it. Truly a comfort even for those without a chronic illness but dealing with different obstacles. I’ve incorporated “building a ladder” in my thought process after seeing your first video talking about it. Keep up the amazing work! I love your videos, makes me want to travel to Japan!
I’d love a Simon and Martina book club! I hear Steven Pinker’s book is great.
Chris Bessey oh man that would be splendid!!!!
I'm always on the hunt for new books! My mental health seems to get better when I keep my mind busy so audiobooks are fantastic. I've finished listening to Alone on the Ice (One of the Greatest yet lesser known exploration survival stories), The Disordered Mind (This book has a fantastic section about the relationship between art and neurological diseases like Autism, Psychosis and Prosopagnosia (I think that's how you spell it....) and now am listening to Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers.
Great idea!
Love that idea, too! I just finished Leigh Bardugo's King of Scars and I'm going to try and take on House of Leaves next :P
What's a good book or genre y'all would want to read or try together?
@@chloerozelle5666 Whatever interests you aye! It's like having a teacher. If you have one who is passionate, you can learn anything. Personally I love True Crime, Investigations, Survival Tales and Medical books about Neuroscience and Psychology
Dear Simon and Martina, I was directed to your channel by someone I know because I have EDS as well and they thought it would be nice to see how others cope with it since I don't know anyone else who goes to the daily struggles it comes with. Thank you so much for sharing things. I hope I can learn from you Martina although it is also a bit difficult to watch since it can be so confronting for me. I will keep watching your videos. These videos are also special for me since I lived in Tokyo and it makes me feel a little bit back at home.
Simon, you said you still don't know why you have to wash the rice before cooking :) it's to wash off the extra starch. That way although Japanese rice is sticky it will also be fluffy.
Hands down believe this is your best video. It's honest, loving and truthful about life, love and friendship. Thank you for sharing this!
You have got to get a silicone top for her coffee mug!!! Really helps keep in the heat
I watch this video to help boost my mental health and it helps a lot. You two are great motivators for me to keep growing and build my own ladder. I really admire you two a lot!
I'm currently reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain! He has always been my favourite cooking/travel host to watch and I was really upset when he passed so I borrowed the book recently from my boyfriend (who is a line cook and I even met him at the restaurant we both work at) and so far it's been very cathartic for me :)
I waited too long to watch this video. I recently started having really really bad pain in my hands and wrist from my data entry job, and I've been really frustrated and sad. This video made me feel better.
Simon, you make me love and appreciate my wife even more than I already do. I love your videos, thank you so much, both of you!!
So I've just now discovered y'all this past week and I have to say you both inspire me with your positive outlook on life and how supportive you are of each other. Thank you for such wonderful videos. I have been binge watching them. Subscribed. I hope I can meet you both one day. I plan to get a job in Japan next year. Maybe we'll bump into each other...lol wish you all the best!
Ooh! Welcome to our channel! And good luck on the job hunt. You aiming to work in Tokyo or elsewhere?
@@eatyourkimchi Tokyo or somewhere close to Tokyo. I went a couple years ago and fell in love with the city.
This is the first video I've ever seen from y'all and I had to pause bc I got choked up when I saw "Love, EDS!" MARTINA, ME TOO, GIRL. 27 with a cane here, and I have automatically subbed. I never see anyone like me out there and it feels so devastatingly lonely at times. I hope your EDS is less of a shit to you today.
edit: I had to pause after you saluted and subluxed your shoulder because I laughed at how relatable that is and then I started crying. Is that weird? Am I weird? I love the passion you have for editing. It really shows.
I agree! I double or triple all the seasonings in my foods!
I hope I can have such a loving kind relationship like this, you guys are amazing, I send you blessings may all your wishes come true
Wow! I love ur normal videos but I also love ur lifestyle videos!
I love it when Martina smiles
You go girl!!!
Simon is doing such a good job at being an amazing supportive husband
What a beautiful relationship. I frickin love y'all and the love you have is just so amazing. Simon is super supportive. Martina manages to maintain a positive outlook even though she has a chronic illness, and both of you ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST. I love your marriage and love the partnership you have. 💙💙💙
Ladies, get you a Simon who makes you coffee after you didn't sleep well simply because you like the smell 😢😢
Simons way of cooking is a BIG ass mood.
Hey Simon! Did anyone tell you yet? Washing rice reduces starch and potentially flushes away any tiny bug that might've joined the ride to the supermarket.
OMG I actually have that Hello Kitty mug!!! It has a donut in the bottom, and it is one of my favorite mugs
I really enjoyed seeing how much you put into the videos Martina! I now have a greater appreciation for these videos.
What an intimate look into your daily lives. I can't believe how much pain Martina goes through everyday. She is such a strong woman, and even though things are hard for her she still keeps trying to push through it, that's a quality I admire.
Lydia Wilson I
I completely agree with you! My partner supports me as well and it makes my life so much better 💕 He's the absolute best!
The way Simon made coffee for Martina just so she can start her day right was so caring. Also discount food is the best! It helps cut down on waste and tastes just a good!
Hi Simon and Martina! Several years ago I was on a flight back to Canada from South Korea. I was flying business class for the first time ever and I couldn’t believe my eyes when you two had the seats next to me and behind me. I awkwardly introduced myself as a fan of your content and you two were just as kind and genuine as you come across in your videos. I still remember that encounter each time I watch you guys and after such an honest look into your daily lives, I can’t help but post a comment telling you how much I enjoyed it. You are one of the few channels that remind me of why I fell in love with RUclips so many years ago and, for me, what this platform has always been about. Throughout your journey on here, thank you for always being such incredible role models and remaining such great, caring people. I will now be using my slow cooker more often :)
Ah! I remember that! It was quite a while ago :)
So well said, and what a great encounter you had! I would love to meet Simon and Martina, and this just further proves how awesome they are. So cool you have that memory :)
Hello everyone! We've done three big travel videos lately. We wanted to show what a more chill day is like in our lives, just so you don't get the wrong impression :D
Simon and Martina thank you guys for all the content you put out. We know you guys put a lot of effort into creating it and despite how much I love your videos remember you guys need to take break sometimes. I think you guys talked about it already but there’s a huge issue with RUclipsrs becoming burnt out, and I’d hate for it to happen to you guys. Anyways thanks for the content as always.
Burnout is something we heard about as well, and even attended talks about with other Creators. We felt burnout in Korea. Our last year was rough. But we decided it's better to sell everything and start anew rather than give up altogether, and so we did. And, you know, we're feeling better than ever, both professional, and - more importantly - mentally :D
Yaaaay. Also note Simon if you hate finding bayleaves in your food they make little seasoning packets where you can shove all the seasonings in tie it up and then when the food is done, all ya gotta do is take the packet out. :) I think Amazon has them.
Wrong impression ? Sorry but can I say :I never get the wrong impression.Who said this to you ?
Very cool.
I also know the crap of chronic disease. (degenerative joint disease)
Simon you always rinse rice because it's not washed during packaging. It gets removes any debris (real reason) and broken up rice starch that will make you rice sticky (maybe).
My weekend involves watching old horror host shows like Ned the Dead, (posting old shows on You Tube. caution dad jokes) or Midnight Mausoleum.
Keep doing what you are doing I live vicariously through your adventures.
Thanks.
“I do know she likes to wake up to the smell of coffee so I leave it right by her” AWEEEE MY HEART. 🥵🥰
I know righttttt
I stopped watching the channel around the time you moved to Japan, because somehow the vibe didn't gel with me anymore. But I had this in my recommendations and I'm glad I clicked on it. You are such nice, positive people even when things are tough - I just genuinely wish you all the best!
I'm in the same boat! It's been forever since I watched them, but this is so lovely. I thoroughly love this.
Absolutely same. I really love them, this is a good one to come back to
I actually ran into Martina recently here in Tokyo and I gotta say I was nervous walking up and saying *hi* to her but she was extremely genuine and super down to earth and even tho I haven't ran into Simon yet I can tell he's just as genuine and awesome as Martina. Honestly, these are great people and through this video you can see how great their relationship is. I wish them nothing but the best for all their future endeavors :D
Martina’s a lot better of a talker than I am. She’s very affable.
Omg!! I met both of them at Studio Ghibli and Martina was crouching in the bushes idk why. LOLOLOL. I totally agree with you tho!!
A wild Martina appears!!!
Simon, you are the SWEETEST! Martina is so, so, SOOOOOO lucky to have you! Not only that, I'd say that you two are so lucky to have found each other. I wish I can meet a Simon someday, too. Martina, give Simon loads of kisses (and braless hugs) from us! :P You go, girl!
How Simon calls Martina "my sweet girl " I almost died that's so stinking cute
WHEN SIMON WAS ENCOURAGING MARTINA I STARTED BALLING MY EYES OUT OMG

Simon is the perfect depiction of a man who is in love. Like love love. I respect that.
Simon is best duck.
This world needs more duckies
He's no duck, he's a straight dothraki
Someone: "Perfect husbands don't exist!"
Simon: "HOLD MY BEER"
Toshi Hakari Simon would do it while holding the beer he would never ask someone to hold it for him
Hold my coffee, I gotta poop!
I KNOW RIGHT! With every video, he raises the bar for my future husband.
For real! Like I'm happy by myself but seeing Simon's love for Martina makes me what someone like that for myself!
Simon: "HOLD MY BEER!"
Martina: *holds the beer*
Simon: *holds Martina's face with both hands and kisses her whole face and shouts to someone* "MWAHAHA! What was that? I can't hear you over my perfect wife!"

When I was a teenager, I commented on a post of yours on Facebook saying that I wish I had a relationship like yours and you guys responded with positive feedback. Since then, I've found that guy, big and tall boi who cares about me a lot. He reminds me of Simon a whole lot, especially since he's the only guy who's ever been able to handle my mental illness.
Thank you guys for setting a really positive and healthy example of a relationship for me.

I second this vote!!
Aww. I got emotional watching Simon take care of Martine because it reminds me of how my fiancee takes care of me :,D
Have to say, whenever my wife says at work that I cook, or made her breakfast, or even coffee, the girls at work go "wow, my guy doesn't do things like that". And I don't get it. She has her own issues and I don't think these things are big, but the bewilderment on some people's faces... Why is that?
i completely agree

Still dying, 5th time thru XD (This is a good Ladder video for really bad mobility days, which I've had far too many of lately.)
Oh Simon it was so cool to see you talk about men doing things around the home! I have a chronic pain/chronic illness and my husband does a lot around here. Cooking is therapeutic to me and I’ve adapted methods of ease with cooking (love a crock pot & instantpot dinners) but he does the laundry, cleans, and does a lot of extra stuff when I get overwhelmed! Thank you for encouraging this kind of support! 😍
I love Simon more than ever after this. Huge inspiration to me, as my wife has recently gotten so bad I've had to come out of work to look after her. You guys are our idols!
Hope you guys are doing ok 👍
PLEASE HIT LIKE, I NEED MARTINA TO REALLY SEE THIS.
Oh i love you both, but jeez, Simon! Im so proud of you for helping Martina as much as you can, but mostly for helping her to not feel guilty about needing a recovery day. I once saw a little saying about Energy and output. Its hard to put into words. But basically, everybody is given 100 energy points per week, and if we have a big day, we are borrowing energy from another day and it needs to be paid back. And also something about the value of those energy points. Basically, it costs people with chronic illnesses twice (maybe more) of the energy points to do the same things. It really hit home with me as i was caring for my father who passed away from heart failure when he was 59. Never feel guilty for needing a recovery day. You are living your life with a condition that hurts, but you are still making the most of it despite the pain. 💪
I love that Simon is so happy to help out with chores and go against "gender norms". That's really sweet :) Also, Martina, I love your video editing!
I'm not gonna lie, I stopped watching for a while because the travel vlogs just wasn't what I was usually into, but the dynamic and Simon's bright positivity really reminds me of why I watched this channel to begin with. When Simon assured Martina that she was having an active recovery day I literally started crying. The support and drive to be the best person you can be is really inspiring. Gives me hope in the world honestly.
Looking forward to more content from you guys. Cheers.
I also literally started crying. It was a really beautiful moment I feel so honored we got to share with you guys.
This comment did not age well

Hello Simon and Martina! (LONG COMMENT COMING, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!) I usually don't leave comments on your videos, not because I don't love you guys, but because I usually feel like nobody cares about what I have to say and it's a waste of time. However, I decided to comment on this video because I couldn't contain my happiness when I watched this video. You guys are so genuine and so real about Martinas EDS, your home (small but wonderful), and even Simon's stinky tuna/egg concoction that he despises! This is why I have been watching your videos for years and years. When I lived on my own for the first time, I had a TV but no DVD player or cable service....so I would steal my neighbor's wifi and plug my laptop into the tv via hdmi, and watch you guys everyday....all day. I cooked with Martina, watched anime recommendations, played Final Fantasy along with Simon and even bought many of the WTF items to try out myself. I hope this comment doesn't come across as creepy that I have basically had you in my life for longer than my current relationship, but you guys are a part of my own ladder. I suffer from depression, anxiety and a pain disorder. The pain is what really sends me into a dark place most days. Watching your videos has always brought me joy (even if the wonderful treasures were a bit weird or the treats I tried made me second guess my decision 🤢). I have come to a point in my life where so much is going well, but the pain makes me worry about losing it all. I own a home 🏠, have animals to look after🐾, a full time job and hobbies to occupy my free time. If I don't keep myself going, the pain makes me want to stay in bed all day.....everyday....and it sucks. Thank you guys for helping me build a ladder. Thank you for making me smile with any new uploads (youtube or otherwise). And thank you for being real about life! Not everything is sunshine and rainbows but finding joy in the little things is what makes life worth living :) Hugs from California! 🌎
P.s The first video of yours I ever watched involved coffee and a salad spinner 😅
You are definitely not creepy in any sense, dear. I remember watching Simon and Martina at 16 years old, during my 2nd year of my high school life. It was the "How to Eat Ramen Like Pro" video where, admittedly, I cringed watching them (because I just did not understand their jokes! Rewatching it causes me to have lots of laughs now). But I got to thank RUclips's recommendation for bringing myself to know this wonderful channel. They managed to change how I view the world to a more positive side. I remember the one video in Eat Your Sushi where they talked about snowstorm and perspectives. That became one of my life principle that I hold dearly now. Not to say how I love Martina and her patience despite her looks (says a lot about don't judge the book based on the cover. Behind that smile is a body that hurts so much...) and how I truly respect the love and affection Simon shows with his actions towards Martina (despite me getting a lil annoyed with his Cheater McCheaterson ways...)
I am glad that I managed to find these goofy guys. They are such inspirational human being.
Oh yeah, btw I am already going to graduate soon 😇
Thank you everyone for your likes on this comment! And thank you to Simon and Martina for making such a great community here :)
Actual goals. I love how they went in and encouraged more of their male viewers to help out more in what is usually viewed as a female’s job. Down with toxic masculinity!
@6 ! please don't.
@6 ! your comment has been proven a farce time and time again, you need help... ffs
Toxic masculinity-what? What is that? You'll forget that is even a thing when you watch this video. Bless you Simon, no idea how you were able to escape de whole thing, great parenting, good environment, awesome personality and luck? I have no idea but wish it was contagious, not even my husband that i love is free of some very brainwashed macho ideas sadly, wish me luck but you keep spreading your awesomeness 😅
I don’t know how I got out of it, either, because I grew up in a VERRRRY toxic masculine environment. Super homophobic, very rude to women. But I just respect Martina so much in so many ways that I couldn’t imagine being rude to her. She’s my inspiration.
Toxic masculinity is something Femanazis came up with so they can have "equality", a.k.a the power and wealth of men, the privilege of women, but the responsibility of neither. Asian are generally family oriented, and they respect their women very much. U'll never hear things like "Gurl, make me a sandwich, or get me some beer", because with that attitude, u'll die alone if u can't even get ur own beer.
@@jedigrandmaster1773 Asians have their version of patriarchal values at the expense of female empowerment. On the topic of toxic masculinity, one need to recognize and name the problem before rectification works can be made.
😭😭😭😭 the part where Simon cheers Martina up because she thinks she did nothing all day...ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS. you guys are everything and more. Much love!!!
I know! ( ˘• ₃ • )ブウ so sweet
Truth. I want to capture that and play it to myself whenever I'm feeling that negative thought spiral start.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how strong Martina is? Instead of getting down on herself she changes her goals to make them more accessible instead of focusing on the negative sadness?
Simon is such a warm and caring spouse but Martina’s spirit is second to none 💖
Ain't nothing wrong with domestic bliss. Travel and adventure are fun, but you can't do it all the time. In fact, that's what makes it and home life sweeter.
This is depressing with the turn of events. ☹
Y’all relationship is unbeatable. I know I’ve heard we only see what y’all want us to since it’s RUclips but like the foundation and mutual respect in this relationship is astounding! Thanks for showing us what it’s like to have some messed up shizz going on but being a true supporter of your significant other! It’s a beautiful thing to see!

This is the best relationship I have ever seen between 2 people EVER!!! Been subscribed for FOREVER and every video I always think about the the Greek mythology that humans used to have 2 heads and 4 arms and legs, and Zeus split them fearing them to be too powerful. I'm glad you two found each other. Stick it to Zeus!!! XD
When he says " to impress the love of your life" my heart sank a bit... Simon and Martina were sort of a proof to me that you can have rough condition ( like Martina's) and have whatever happens a partner who loves you and that you can grow old with. I'm really sad to see I was wrong... it affects me more that it should
It hurts me too, as someone who feels like my mental conditions would be too much for any partner to deal with. Watching them as a younger person gave me a lot of hope for my own potential future with another. But, I also realize their life on camera wasn’t always the full picture. There are many things that could’ve gone in behind closed doors, for who knows how long. I believe they know they are doing what is best for them, and that they thrive in their new lives.
@@skylaralexis7699 May I ask where you got this information from? I had never heard of this! I only ask because I’ve tried to keep a neutral view on the both of them, not wanting to blame either for anything (that would be incredibly rude), and I still don’t want to. But I am curious as to what could’ve potentially caused it all.
@@sproutpuppy8216 also martinas insta king.kogi. you can clearly see what she follows :( makes very very sad how things turned out in the end
Their separation stung for me too as I often see their silliness as a reflection of myself and my significant other. But don't give up. If you want love you can have it. Be your true self, don't settle for anything or anyone that doesn't make you happy. Communicate your needs with each other, support each other and you will be fine!
I love LOVE the way martina tells how she edits and potrays different emotions and moods. Editing and films are a huge passion to me personally, so seeing how she really thinks and puts effort into it is so inspirational!
Modern dating is so depressing. Sometimes it's easy to become cynical in this 'thank u next', swipe right disposable culture. It's actually so lovely (and needed) to see people really working at and loving each other so fully and working on improving each other and yourself (rather than shopping on apps for the next upgrade). You and Martina are so inspirational -- sounds cheesy but I mean it haha. You truly make each other's happiness your own 😊
totally agree
definitely agree😭😭
I Agree!!
bless your comment. I was like love like Simon's & Martina's has become so rare to see within the hook-up culture going on rn. This is why I love anime and manga because pure romance still exists in these stories. I do hope that there are people still out there looking for real love & human connection rather than in the sheets action 1-day into a relationship. The meaning of "love" is slowly fading away as people start with 'experimenting' only to end up more hurt than understanding what love is.
+++++++
I wish I had a Simon 😭😭😭 he’s so amazing to Martina. You two are couples goals 💕💕
Holy shit. Can I just say??? Simon, you beautiful man??? Honestly, that big reassurance talk that it's ok for Martina to take a break struck such a chord with me, I was speechless. The support was just amazing. It's something similar to what I tell myself when Uni gets stressful but actually hearing it come out of someone's mouth to their SO was just so different and beautiful.
SIMON IS THE DUDE! Honestly it is such an awesome encouragement that people can come here and see Simon just do what is his thing but its just such an incredible example of what a humble man and husband is! Thank you for sharing your content with the world! You guys are such a blessing!
Simon should have a book on how to support someone with chronic illness. as someone who suffers like Martina I would love if my significant other knew how to do what Simon does. WINNER. SIMON.
Trainer Deni Southern That would actually be amazing! Or maybe make videos about it... I think being the healthy partner must be as hard as being ill. I would make my husband watch them 😊
Split the book in half, two perspectives? Seeing how Simon handles one situation and then flip over to Martina to see how she feels about the same situation.
Yes omg
YESSSS!
I wish I could read this book because sometimes I just need to hear (read) things like this
Would just like to say I appreciate your openness with your personal struggles with chronic illness, and the mental toll that takes. A close family member recently had a psychosis break due to stress, and I feel like seeing how you two support each other has helped me to understand the resulting depression and struggle they are going through to recover.
My daughter was born in 2009, and while I was going through one of toughest times with postpartum depression, which didn’t seem to get better through the years I stumbled across your channel. I watched you guys religiously and....laughed...smiled...and felt joy. I even sent you guys a care package (it had some ranch Doritos, ranch, pac-man shirt, and a variety of other items) that I actually saw you open in one of your videos...I cried. At the time I didn’t know why I was crying, but in retrospect I think it made me feel truly appreciated and I was so happy I could bring some joy to someone’s life. 10 years later...I’m doing great and being busy raising 2 kids distracted me from YT, until today. I searched for you guys and it made me so happy to see that you’re still making amazing and fun videos! Thank you for everything you do and for the joy you brought into my life during a very difficult time. Please always know that you truly being so much joy to people’s lives...it may not always seem like it, but there are others
Out there that need your honesty, positivity and creativity.

Damnnn so happy this video’s a long one!!!!! Let’s go team not skip all the ads!!!!!
I will say it short: finally some REAL stuff! So so so refreshing seeing a NORMAL life! RUclips needs more "Simon and Martina" channels! I don't know you guys but for me is enough of "perfection" .....enough of that "aesthetic"! Just enjoy the "normality"! Take care
I just love the way that Simon loves and takes care of Martina. ❤️
This video made me so happy and I love how you guys posted about Simon helping around the house along with encouraging more men to do it. Love you guys so much!!!
Watching this now that they made it official that they separated just breaks my heart in half 😞
Im honestly going thru their old videos and just crying
@@crookedbby is it just me but I think some videos are missing.
@@Gmrgrl-mb5np hmm i'm not sure.. I don't notice it but maybe beacuse only a few are missing?
@@crookedbby Simon talking abt his tattoo abt Martina is unlisted
you're the only youtuber I would watch a 36min video from. sooo enjoyable ...
I would take sooo many more long videos! I have to agree, soooo enjoyable!
My husband has to commute to work an hour and a half one way. Every morning he lays on top of me and squooshes me and kisses me before he goes down stairs to do the rest of his morning because I don't have to wake up when he does. Just wanted to share the positivity of morning like y'all have.
I do the same for my husband and on days I have off he does the same
dawww
“I like to watch videos of houses I’ll never be able to afford” ME TOO, Simon! 🤣
Simon is actually the most amazing husband i've ever seen wtf
@@miipmiipmiip it is sad because I am just like him (although quite shorter at 5 feet 8 inches) but people act like guys like us are like unicorns... I just do the stuff he does without even thinking and did for my wife even after a long shift... but she wouldn't a much younger guy it seems.. :P
Thank you for sharing this! I started out watching your videos because I was interested in life in Korea and thought you two were so fun to watch with your amazing sense of humor. Nowadays, I really appreciate the positivity and your openness about mental illness and the struggles you have with chronic pain. I think you are a perfect example on how people should treat one another and I learned a lot from you. How to take a step back and think about what I really need, what someone important to me needs, to try and be positive and turn things around. My best friend and I have the most amazing, closest friendship you could imagine and we pick each other up on a bad day. Even if those bad days are frequent. It's important to not lose sight of what you have and be able to appreciate that, instead of regretting what you don't have. Thanks guys, you're both amazing, inspirational people. :)
This was such a wholesome video!!! Yall make me want to cry! After years of watching for years, I feel like you're family. It been amazing watching your journeys and yall make me want to start my own :))))
My partner and I were introduced to y'all years ago because a friend said we reminded her of you two as a couple. I *swear* watching Simon is like watching my boo; down to browning the discount slow cooker beef so it's tastier for me, and making me coffee and leaving it on my nightstand because I'm so slow to get going in the mornings.
I have several lifelong, chronic illnesses as well, and I feel so dang lucky to have found my own "Simon." I don't know how I'd manage without him.
NOTIFICATION SQUAD! What are you watching on Netflix lately?
Simon and Martina Hilda :) it’s amazing! I think Martina would like it.
Rewatching stranger things XD
Umbrella academy! It's so good
The Umbrella academy!
The breakfast club, the best movie ever, and Sherlock Holmes.
This was my first time watching one of your videos and I just have to say I absolutely love how supportive you, Simon, are with Martina. You are relationship goals. 💜
Oh wow! Hello! Welcome to our channel. I hope to see you around in the comments more in the future :D
@@eatyourkimchi I will definitely poke around a bit more when I wake up😁 it's just about 1:30 am here in fabulous Las Vegas and I'm just about to head to bed.
That purple onion container fooled me! I was thinking "that's the most beautiful onion I've ever seen!"
I remember those obnoxious, custom green/blue shoes Simon has. And that hoodie in the last scene with the cat face that Martina bought on G-Marker. I didn't realise how much time has passed. And now I'm an adult... It's amazing go see how far you guys have come as well. Let's grow more together ❤
I find that People, especially since the rising popularity of social Media, only care to share the exciting events in their lifes. The word "mundane" has a bad connotation that I can't get behind. Personally, I am much more in awe when I See the little things People do, i.e. incorporate in their daily routines to make a big difference. Like Simon working out, teaching the Cat little tricks or Martina pouring her soul into editing the Videos we love and deciding to go out when she's been holed up inside all day. These things are more relatable to me than a two weeks Trip to Barcelona. I enjoy watching these travel-logs, they are exciting and entertaining for sure. But they won't tug at my heart strings like this video where you just Talk about your everyday struggles. Going on an adventure is an exciting and wonderful ecperience, But as J.R.R. Tolkien taught us in the Lord of the Rings: Nothing beats coming home after a long journey and laughing with friends and family to tell the story.
Hehe I think you mean J. R. R. Tolkien :) I often confuse the two.
@@danielliex31793 Thank you for pointing that out. I'm pretty sure I was the victim of my ever so clever Spelling Correction. It's hard to teach a German Smartphone English words.
I enjoyed this longer video. Your effort in filming and editing is valued. I am constantly listening to your content throughout my daily life.
I miss this 😢 I miss them together and I miss them in Japan😭😭 ..I never comment alot on yt but I had to the feelings are so strong😭 ...
Martina, thanks for sharing your editing process and goals you have in mind when pour your heart and soul into these videos. I don't watch every video immediately not because I'm ever not interested, but because I want to bottle them up and save them for the times when I can just relax and enjoy. Your videos are magic.
I would love to see more videos like this in the future! It took me a while, but I finally figured out what this video felt like to me: catching up with friends over a lovely cup of coffee or casual meal. "What's up with you lately?" "Same old, you know, but seeing your mug has made my day much brighter."
I want to be a simon when I grow up
First: I ADORE you guys!! You two are relationship goals. Second: I agree about the hunting down of positivity. I work at Walmart and I have started randomly complimenting people. It makes them smile and me too. Love from Oklahoma!
Hi from Oklahoma glad to know I am not the only one from here who loves them.
I forgot how much I like watching you guys, you guys are amazing
didn't skip a single ad
that's how you know i love you guys ❤️❤️❤️
you two are the sweetest
Banana Berry same here. I even watched the one from trump just for the laughs.
You guys should win a "Couple of the Year" award. The support you show one another is honestly inspiring. I hope to be a partner like the both of you one day. Also-- thanks for sharing your day with us. It's motivated me and really helped me appreciate the work you guys put into your videos.
So excited to see Martina wearing my Cattoos dress! So happy she’s actually wearing it 😊 Loved the video - never worry about uploading a 40 minute video (I always put long videos on to keep me company when I’m making dinner!)
I kept eyeballing that dress! It's so cute! Did u make it?
I love your channel. Your content is always top quality and the time you put into each video shows. You are my number one in my top 5. Love the soundtrack, the sense of humor, the food stuff, the adventure stuff, extra bits, and everything in between. Keep up the good work. Martina, you are an inspiration to me, helping me with my own chronic pain and getting past the depression. Ever since I started watching you two I've picked myself up more than let me self sink. Thank you, both of you so much. Love ya!
