If you end up staying a while in this house, you can get a chair lift fitted onto the stairs. My grandma has one in her house and it allowed my bampa to move around despite being disabled until his death, and now lets her stay independent on her bad knees. I don't know how much it costs but it's not very obstructive and is definitely much less painful than crawling up the stairs. Plus it's super fun and makes you feel like you're on a rollercoast/the grumpy old guy from Up XD
Good idea it'll definitely help Martina from unnecessary pain :) I saw this cool modern Japanese house with a built in slide, if they had more space, that would be amazing XD

I live in an attic room bc of my sound sensitivity issues but there are so many days when my muscles won't let me get my ass up them without taking many breaks. Our house is pretty small compared to the houses in our neighbourhood. We saw bigger houses when we were real estate hunting but they were a bit too expensive. Our place now is actually cheaper than our apartment in Korea, though, so that's a good thing :D
