Hi Simon and Martina! I used to work at Coco Curry in Hawaii and I have a peanut allergy. It wasn't until after two bowls of curry I realized I was having a mild allergy reaction to it and not a weird stomachache. I assume that's why Coco Curry tastes different, if not better, to other Japanese curries. I was wondering if you know if other Japanese curry restaurants or instant brands also include nuts in their recipe? Or if it's just Coco curry. Love your guy's videos, always puts a smile to my face :)
I'm helping out the lady that cleans my eyebrows at her shop and she's an absolute sweetheart and forced me to go and break and "enjoy RUclips" so I put this video on thinking I'd be safe.... it was on full volume, she was listening and the client was watching along. For non-edible gifts I like to go to 100 yen shops (e.g. Daiso) and just get a bunch of little cute things - anything from stationary, school supplies, stickers and decorations, to kitchen sponges, tissue packets, or even nail trimmers (they have cute ones!). Most 100 yen shops also have Made-in-Japan dishware that’s really impressive for the price. Dollar store gifts might seem boring or cheap in theory, but in my experience Japanese 100 yen products are pretty good quality and people really love those kinds of practical-yet-unique gifts.

Ahhhhh damn I can relate so much lol we went to france once (we live in belgium so it isnt thaaaaat far) with the car on a 2 hour trip just to go to a supermarket. Oh and usually on school trips I also love to explore the supermarkets so when we went to paris last year, I had a wonderful time and I went into almost every supermarket i saw, but when we were in Germany (Berlin) we didnt even see a supermarket and we’d have to walk for an hour to get to one so we didnt... and I was really bummed out... I was really looking forward to going to one.... I suppose thats also because of my crazy curiosity so that I just want to know how people in other countries... go to... supermarkets.....???? Anyways! Really enjoyed this video!!! Thinking about making a part 2 perhaps??;;;;;))))??;;;)??????

honestly the best moment was when Simon started talking about just eating a hard boiled egg with Kewpie mayonnaise cuz SAME. Kewpie mayonnaise is literally the bomb diggity
So for people in North America (specifically those located in the Midwest): if you want to try the stuff that they mentioned in this video, go to Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield Ohio. I went yesterday and found most of everything in this video and some other yummy things that they have showcased in other videos. The only thing I couldn’t find was that specific candy and the Chinese cucumbers. I just made tuna with kewpi mayo and Simon was not lying, it was tasty. Not only that but they have sections for many many other countries.

I feel like this video will get Demonetized because of Simon. Lol 😂
Simon: *Rubs “curry toothpaste” on gums*
Martina: Ewwww
Simon: *instant regret*
It's been a while since King Fat Fat Taco Head made an appearance. Good day, Your Highness. 👑 Please drink some water 💧💧💧💧
If I'm thinking of the same candy, then the first ones are called Puchao. They have them(or something very similar)at Daiso here and they market them as Puchao 👌 They are delicious!
Every time I'm in another country---"to the supermarket we go!"---. It's a great way to get an overview and familiarize with the local foods! :)
Yassss TO THE SUPERMARKET! I've learned to stay away from the tourist trappy souvenir shops and instead do it like a local and shop at the grocery store!
Video music on point, as always. I would seriously listen to your music if you decided to produce a spotify playlist.
“And then they kinda like, “American Pie” it-“
And I screamed 😂
NOTIFICACIÓN SQUAD!!!!!!!! Hi guys! We all love you, now I'm going to see the video. Kiss kiss.
THE BEST SQUAAAAD!
You guys are just the BEST!!! I absolutely adore watching y'all! No matter where you are or what you're doing, your videos are ALWAYS amazing! You could literally make a video about dryer lint and I would watch it! That's how super cool you guys are! 😊❤️
im honestly amazed at how easily a video by you two can cheer me up no matter what
Because we put positive intentions into making it! Feeeeeeel theeeeeee caaaalllmmmingggg loooove! :)
I live in south Texas and I am lucky to be able to have access to quite alot of Japanese candy options! Love y'alls videos!! Can't wait for the next one! ❤
Kerry Sue Same! We have a cute little Japanese grocery in SA called Minnano - they have a good selection of candies and snacks.
Wow!! We go to World Market and and Central Market! I will have to try that place too! Thanks!
Today is my birthday so I made a special trip! Loved it in there, thanks again!
Nice! Happy Birthday!
3:10 , not gonna lie, it's probably a thing young teenage boys do; horny kids be weird like that...
Fun video, gives me great ideas for my trip I'm planning next year!
I have soooooooo much love for you weirdos.. I want a Japan trip solely to go to supermarkets for the good stuffs
💜from SATX
Aha nice! I have been looking for good Japanese supermarket videos! I just had a face-off of which one is the best in my Kyoto vlog. I'm partial to Lawson's but my friend loves 7/11's 🍙
Simon in North America you can order Kewpie mayo off Amazon.
Random but your doggy looks like mine with different colored fur.
Kewpie mayo is the best. I'm so... grateful they sell it in the asian markets near my house.
Simon- I don’t use ranch dressing anymore.
Me- whaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!
What ranch tastes like? I don't have it in my country
honestly the best moment was when Simon started talking about just eating a hard boiled egg with Kewpie mayonnaise cuz SAME. Kewpie mayonnaise is literally the bomb diggity
The cucumber recipe makes this video about 5 times better. They are so good!
Yes!! I'm going to Japan next week and this video is exactly what I needed!
Helen K My husband and I will be there next Saturday for two weeks! Our first time!
Now konnyaku will become super popular across the world. 😂
I've loved konnyaku for my whole life. I'm glad Simon has been converted XD
Specially with that slogan 😂 For special a special time make it konnyaku time. 😂😂😂
Somehow, the cucumber recipe reminds me of a pickled cucumber recipe in my country! There is something similar.🤔
This is the first time I’ve commented on your videos I think and I absolutely love the bit where it’s like no one uses google plus! I’ve been watching your videos since forever and I’ve been listening to your podcasts on the commute to and from work and they’re keeping me sane!
Thank you for being such lovely people!!
