I just received my P30BL-E & J115K-E and I have to say: I LOVE THEM. So comfy and they have a low-key vibe to them. P30AL-R arrives Tuesday and I’m excited. They’re all super comfy.
I am 174 cm tall and skinny; Size S is usually my size. I had a J16-GT in size small, and it fit me well, except the sleeves are a bit long. Then I tried a J14-GT in size small, and the hood felt quite tight on me, probably because my neck and head are both kind of long. I took the hoods off and compared them (I was wearing my J16-GT) but they are exactly the same size, so I believe it is caused by the positions of the snap buttons. In the end, I ordered a J14-GT in size medium. I would say sizing down could be risky on the J14-GTs because the hood could be too tight for some people.
I always took the B to mean “basic” (as in without cargo pockets) as opposed to A meaning “advanced” (more cargo pockets/features). Also the previous version of the j86 was the j86-gtb (not a gore-tex fabric, funny enough). I actually really like that one. The styling is doing it a disservice, as with all Acronym lately (Imo, all the styling since about 2020 has been going from bad to horrible). The sleeve construction is incredibly unique and the silhuette is much more classic than all the extra wide shit with diagonal zippers everywhere we’ve been getting lately. Still love Acronym, it’s just been moving away from my interests the past few years.
acronym is weird like that. different people vibe with different pieces. I love the P30ALDS, and the cargoless one feels off to me. I also love the J86SS, the og was GTB, and im enjoying how acr is toggling between silver and black aquaguard zips with diff materials. usually i don't like SS, but it feels good on 86, and imo it expands styling with just a small change in material. I think about J86GTB/P47ADS & this new velvety black J86SS/P47DS combo as like a tech high waisted heritage/levi's look. imo LA1DS needs to be cheaper, it's cool, but other S's run 200-400, i guess dryskin cost may be contributing but im not sure. i like wide 68, i appreciate that acr reiterates and takes risks trying diff thing with same block, similar to removing cargos on P30BL

@@heavensfall8824 Yeh, you kind of confirm why I'm "against" sizing up or down

I thought GTB was determined to be some variant of Gore-Tex Pyrad?
@ Maybe so! I just don’t remember seeing the name “gore tex” on the description. But maybe I’m wrong? What’s gore tex pyrad?

Ha, I just realised that the RAF jacket at 2:16 is not actually a J14 😅 (I believe it's an S-J5)
Just bought mine today! Finally prices dropped i can now afford to own one T_T... no more fake ass ali express pants.
Nice, well done!
