i made a flat adjustable venturi as wide as the vacuum round pipe and made a flat throat in the round pipe as big as the inlet.which is 30mm the pipe is 50mm.the venturi is also 50mm wide.I'm busy with a spade to adapt it to a dredge with a double blade and halfway it goes sideways where the venturi starts.
@@galwinthefossilizedprospec6999 its a Johnson pump 2200 gph mounted right before the venture its a pump that can also suck at height from the water and also the diffuser i have to look at with how much degree to do. So i'm not done yet next year it will .i'm waiting for parts . i classify also with a mesh tower with vibration from a HDD motor after the diffuser.

and may I ask why? what effect will this cause pertaining to the hydrodynamics? Will you need less GPH flow or lower PSI perhap?

Yep more gear than I could carry or move, why I am always trying to find ways to reduce the weight of the gear and still maximize wash payload.
