I know it's taking a long time but it's being done right and looks great. In the end it will be worth it all. I agree with you both that moving in before the house is finished is not an option. You know you would regret it in the long run. You are so close to being through so just be patient and wait the few months that it will take to finish the house. You both work so hard and have accomplished so much since acquiring the property. Enjoy watching your journey. Thank you for allowing us to go along.❤
You guys are doing a great job. People who have not been through a house building project can't understand the costs and time associated. Your candor and honesty should be comended. Jim would be more than happy to help, but like you guys, we arent independently wealthy either 😂 and he has to work. Maybe one day he'll finish our house 😅 We are proud of you and if you need anything we're here for you!
Make the decision that is right for you. Projects always take longer than you think but that house will be everything you want when finished. Winter will give you lots of time to work inside. Excited for you!!
Nate, I remember when Helene came through and you took time off to help others, that must have been hard on both your hearts. God bless you for that, things are going to come up, do your own pace, then you know it's done right. I have lived in construction because we had too, you do not. ❤
I admit I get a bit antsy over Nate's taking so much care to do it right, but in the end, it is amazing how thorough he is. And of course, the finished 'product' is beautiful. You guys are doing a wonderful job, and I'm learning a lot from the both of you.
We have been building a barndominium for 3 years. I was so excited when the cabinets went in - thought it would be a piece of cake. I completely underestimated the time it takes for finish work 🤪
Do it right; the way you prefer, and get it done that way. It does sound like enough work for five men, but Nate can handle it in a reasonable time frame. Redecorating in Spring. How fresh and fun will that be?!!!
I agree wholeheartedly!! You do you! Living in a construction zone is hard. Take your time, go at your own pace. The work you have done is awesome. There for the long haul. ❤
You are doing amazing!!!! If u look from a year ago you’ve done so much! Never live in the house for a kitchen remodel IF u don’t have to and you don’t have to. So hard!!!!!
You have a comfortable place to live right now so take your time to do it the way you want and the time you need. You will be happy once it’s done the way you want. It takes time to do it right. When it’s done it’s done !!
I am in agreement with your decision to wait to move in! I lived through a remodel and a build with small children. You already have a living place and being able to work in the house unhindered is fantastic. Money is often a factor when you have a working homestead. I enjoy your videos very much ❤😊
Good Morning! Always reminder this is your house and do your remodel only in your time. It will beautiful when you're done! Katie, I'm with you would not live in a construction zone either! ❤ from Iowa.
Thank you for being honest! Keep up the great work but also take care of yourselves. You both are doing great. Like your friend says, slowly slowly. I watch his channel also! Thank you both for showing me, it can be done!
You have both done some much work already and it looks great. All the work you did to the basement the French drain was a big job and the work with the chickens has been a lot and just getting the property cleared. Take your time to get it done right and enjoy the journey!!
Great job Nate. I hope you take Katie up on her offer to help. It could really speed up some of the to do lists. Also give Katie pride in helping on the house you both will call home. ❤❤
Well, if the weather gets really bad at least u know the house is a safe place to go... I would try to get Jim there to get some help w the celling. The rest u can manage Nate. Katie, i give u koodos for being patient w Nate..lol.... The house will be perfect when he is done. Well worth the wait. ❤😊
Well I will quit worrying now about how you are going to get in this winter...not going to happen. I would definitely get help with the ceiling though, specifically Jim if he is available. He is not only knowledgeable but he is a great motivator. Thanks for sharing, y'all have a Blessed weekend.
I remember telling someone who was complaining that they must not watch your videos because you research everything..... LOL I am the same way most of the time. When I rush in where Angels fear to tread.... I learn very quickly to do a little research and do it right....
"I am Buddha." Oh Nate, you make me laugh. Good chat, y'all. I'm proud of you too, you guys have made some great strides when I know from the start you didn't expect it to be all this. Once it done, it's going to feel so great. :)
I moved into a construction zone, with 4 preschool kids. It takes three times longer because you need to move things ten times before you can finish. Not to mention, there were at least three occasions with the toddler, that could have had dire consequences. So, you’re right. Get it done then move in.
As for time, it takes what it takes.. I am go with flow as well. No need to rush, that’s how mistakes are made. To me, you want to be happy with it and want to be able to live with it for a long time. So to me, there would be no rush, even if you hate living in RV, at least you know you have all the structural things done and now it’s just finish work. You have gotten so much accomplished, there is no need to rush now. It will get done, when it’s done. Love y’all’s channel. 💜💜💜
Nate, you're doing great. Go at you're own pace. This is not a 9x5. You got out of that environment. You build a house once. Enjoy what your doing. You can see, and feel the stress from the start of the video. It's your $$$$.
Nate your so much like me. 😂 I do the research and analyze and overthink sometimes. But I’m very proud of my work afterward. You have done an amazing job. I hear you guys about not wanting to move into a construction zone. Take care.❤
The minutiae is frustrating, been there plenty of times. The day you list a house for sale is the best it ever looks in my experience. You have a working living space in the RV, take your time and get it done as you can. It's going to be great when it's perfect enough. Jim saved you, and gave you the opportunity to be learning a lot. Good for you to be funding your project with RUclips. Our first home was the barter could build.
I guess when you move will depend on if you absolutely must have every single thing finished or kitchen, lighting, floors, bedroom and 1 bathroom then work on rest at your leisure.
I am exactly like Nate. Stress and analyze and keep analyzing. I drive my husband crazy. My younger brother is the same. Opposites attract, I guess, and balance each other.
Hi things always take longer than you think! It's ok!! I think in you kitchen you should use open shelves concept wall about counters an sink its really popular and much cheaper and clean look that what people used along time ok!! I love your land it has so many possibilities don't fret your doing great😊
It’s going to take one or more months to do the ceiling and another five to finish the rest , my daughter always tells me to double the time I think it’s going to take.
Well you are both doing great and do not ever feel like you have to explain why you make the options you do. It's a lot of work we redoing our house while living in it. So we get it.
Whew... Nates I am budda makes me picture budda on a wild rollercoaster 🎢 ride with him gripping the safety rail and clenching his teeth on the ride of his life!!! 😁 That was hilarious....
its crazy how people assume your a total worker 24/7 they dont get it .......we only see what you want and the rest is nonya as in nonya business lol be you and do it your way hugsssssssss

It's been fun watching it all come together. So close! Can't wait to see it all finished.
You and me both

You will get in when it's ready going to be wonderful. Nate you have worked so hard 😊

Nate is amazing, he will get us to the finish point.
Oh, the ignorance of those who aren't walking in your shoes! Keep on keeping on Kraemer's, you will have YOUR showcase when you are done!
We will always keep it Kraemer
I agree wholeheartedly!! You do you! Living in a construction zone is hard. Take your time, go at your own pace. The work you have done is awesome. There for the long haul. ❤

Yes, while it's not glamping it's liveable.

Money is often a factor when you have a working homestead. I enjoy your videos very much ❤😊
Thanks so much! I wish money wasn't a hindrance but it is. We will get it done as soon as we can.
@KeepingitKraemer as our friend says, "slowly slowly" 😉😊🙂
Good Morning! Always reminder this is your house and do your remodel only in your time. It will beautiful when you're done! Katie, I'm with you would not live in a construction zone either! ❤ from Iowa.
Thanks for the update! I’ll watch no matter what, keep up the good work!
Awe, thanks

Budah Nate

The rest u can manage Nate.
Katie, i give u koodos for being patient w Nate..lol....

As we mentioned, we cannot afford to pay anyone for help right now so it's Nate and I for the foreseeable future.
Well I will quit worrying now about how you are going to get in this winter...not going to happen. I would definitely get help with the ceiling though, specifically Jim if he is available. He is not only knowledgeable but he is a great motivator. Thanks for sharing, y'all have a Blessed weekend.
He's great we just cannot afford him at this time
I remember telling someone who was complaining that they must not watch your videos because you research everything..... LOL I am the same way most of the time. When I rush in where Angels fear to tread.... I learn very quickly to do a little research and do it right....
Katie full speed ahead 😜 Nate researching EVERY possible rabbit hole
@@KeepingitKraemer You balance each other very well.
It will get done in time, and it will be nice when done, Do it at your pace Nate,
Nate needs to hear this more than I do, but thank you
"I am Buddha." Oh Nate, you make me laugh. Good chat, y'all. I'm proud of you too, you guys have made some great strides when I know from the start you didn't expect it to be all this. Once it done, it's going to feel so great. :)
At least he still has a Sense of humor 😜
@KeepingitKraemer indeed!! 😊
I prefer flooring under the cabinets in the kitchen & bath
And Wilson! Don't forget his help also!
Yes, he was included when we talked about friends.

We always say it takes what you originally thought times pi. So I’m guessing 6 months plus. 😵💫

Awe, thank you. The way in which Nate researches I'm not sure I'm a mistake can be made. It takes months to dig down that rabbit hole.

Love the channel. First time commenting. What will you do with the RV once you move in? Guest house? Office? Sell?
I'm with you on the drywall, Nate. I especially hate the sanding.
Good morning Katie and Nate!
You are one cool cucumber, Nate!
I guess when you move will depend on if you absolutely must have every single thing finished or kitchen, lighting, floors, bedroom and 1 bathroom then work on rest at your leisure.
Buddy Nate lmao😂

Underthinkers say such things.
