Such a fun catch up! I gasped when I I saw your Njord Socks....that yarn is perfect and totally my colours 🤩 You have so many good projects underway and in planning. The patch is iron on 🤓
My son celebrated his 11th anniversary on the 11th day of the 11th month serving for our country. He has seem some things he can never I see too. Great to here Nancy is supporting her nations troops. She is a diamond!
I love your granny wrap shawl. I love using mini’s in granny projects-I am currently making a granny blanket with mini’s. The yarn you dyed was lovely!
Wonderful newsy catch up video. Your cardi is gorgeous, acquisitions likewise. Can’t wait to follow the knitting progress. The retreat sounded like so much fun. Time to clean up the kitchen from all the yarn, heat up the tea and eat the chocy 😋. See you in vlogmas.
Don't worry about being a Granny sitting in bed with your wrap. I have a lovely big squishy triangle shawl that i knitted for this purpose and its my most used item!!! ❤
Ooooh this has all been lovely. The colour of your cardigan is absolutely divine. I don't know how much longer I can hold out on the granny wrap.... 😂 I feel it in my near future. I love that yarn bouquet, I'd love to go to that retreat one day. I feel like we all need a SACK pack (Socially Awkward Companion Knitters). Well I do anyway 😊
Lovely to see you! I love the colours in your reading shawl! I have a pink fluffy, lacy bed jacket I made years ago, probably when I had my oldest daughter (she's just had her 43rd birthday! Her birthday was at the end of last month, mine is on Monday. She gave me an early gift, one of those lovely shaped pillows, for when I am reading or knitting in bed! Years ago, husband Steve and I did a dying workshop, with lots of other people. We were at opposite ends of the room, but we both dyed our yarns green, almost the same! Isn't it strange how that happens?😂
Love your cardigan. It's a lovely colour. I'm wearing my Evendoon as I watch the podcast! I made the Evendoon just over a year ago and took it on holiday and left it in Barcelona. I had to get it posted back to the UK took forever and didn't think I was going to see it again. Lovely podcast.
I made a Wilfreda last year instead of a ranunculus- spotted on Grocery girls. It is such a fun quick knit you will love it. Mine has been worn a lot and I have another sweaters quantity stashed to knit another one, when I get all my obligation knitting out of the way. Half an Aran sweater and a hat to go!
You could do as Kate Davies suggests in one of her books , which is to knit with two colours as normal, miss out the third colour stitches and then go round and knit the third colour, I always use this technique and catch any long floats on the next round. Works a treat.
Oh my goodness Becky It was lovely to see your heart singing 🎶 constantly in the check up. Love seeing and hearing what you are doing and hearing about the retreat.
I have some hurkle durkle yarn to use with Ruffles scappy balls to make a shawl. Wishing I could start that now but I have other projects on the go! Always the way! Really liked the yarn you dyed up.
Thank you for recommending the Wilfreda pattern. I have made so many ranunculus sweaters and didn’t want to make another. This looks like it will be a great replacement for a quick knit gift sweater.
Lovely to see you and catch up on all your news. Your cardigan and socks are absolutely beautiful. The wool from the retreat is delicious. Looking forward to Vlogmas. Take care. 🐇🧶🤗
Welcome to the dark side!! I always love seeing your knit creations but I'm SO happy you've discovered a love for crochet! It looks like you're making great progress on both the new projects. I'm hoping you'll have many more crochet projects to show us in the future!
You have some lovely yarny projects to start and perfect for winter crafting. I am knitting the Daft Days Cardigan and I agree it is slow going but I’m going to stick with it. I’m also crocheting two Tilda the Toadstools for my granddaughters, their request! Looking forward to seeing you in Vlogmass. 😊
Aaah Becky I loved watching your recap of the retreat. Brought back lots of happy memories. And as always I’m inspired by what you make - lots added to my want to make list x
Just found your newest episode adter a recommendation from Ali love your chat. I did the Cherry heart crichet when Sandra did the Cal. Its very easy to do I carnt do charts on crochet but the pattern and help where great. Will watch your episodes again.❤

I so enjoy your podcasts Becki!! Thank you for taking the time to make them. I look forward to following you during vlogmas and seeing all your wonderful knits. Take care. X
Becky…I watch several UK podcasts and enjoy them all. I have an American podcaster to share with you….Diane, from The Island Lamb. Her knitting is amazing along with her whole podcast. I know you’ll enjoy her.❤️🇺🇸 I
Super podcast Becky! Am in awe at the number of your WIPS! Currently keep falling asleep whilst knitting! Although have managed to finish a pair of sparkly Christmas socks. Happy knitting. X
Thank you Becky. I love to make a cup of coffee and sit with you as you go through all your projects. Love the red cardigan and the jumper you are working on...and the socks...and the shawl. The retreat sounds like a very lovely weekend was had by all.
Lol, this episode was so commical, I had to grin almost the whole time through. Haha. Entertainment and wonderful knitting and crocheting - what else do we need (maybe a cup of tea 🙂 ). Looking forward to your next episode for sure. P.S. Love the grey jumper with the bright orange stripes. Awesome! It suits you very well. 🙂
After seeing Sarah and Ali’s Annaboos’ House Granny Wraps, I used my 2023 Ruby and Roses Advent to make one. Such a fun project and I love the finished object! That Birdstreet Yarn in Ken’s Pyjamas colorway is breathtaking. Maybe I can get the skein of nonsparkle that you originally ordered! Thanks for a fantastic podcast, Becky! I can hardly wait for Vlogmas. If Jack wanted to do just one or two Vlogmas episodes, I know I, as well as others, would be thrilled. But no pressure, only if he has time and wants to.
I just came across your podcast and thoroughly enjoyed watching. Your knits and crochet makes are just lovely. I especially love the Stone Knits socks. I’ve been wanting to make both those exact patterns but I’m nervous of the colour work.
Hi Becky - I think it was my yarn that looked very like yours although my inspiration picture was Hellebores, but I wanted it to be very much lighter. It was great to meet you on the retreat. xx
Hi Becky. Lovely catching up with you. Your red cardi is beautiful. I need to order me some of that yarn. So proud of you and your gorgeous granny wrap. I’ve made the natures walk blanket. It’s a lovely pattern. Would like to make another in wool rather than acrylic. I’m not into Christmas but your Christmas sock yarn looks amazing. Can’t wait to see it knitted up 😊
Lovely podcast Becky and I love seeing all the woolly things! Glad you had a good time at the retreat and treated yourself to some lovely yarn. Now looking forward to Vlogmas and seeing that gorgeous sparkly sock yarn on the needles! Take care x
Hi Becky, love your makes, those woolly knit cones from memory weigh about 17g so hopefully that helps you figure out how much you have left. I'm currently knitting a cardigan in woolly knit British 4ply held double in a beautiful natural brown, my 2nd version of the garden cardigan by ankestrick, a wonderful pattern 🍃
That Norma is a beauty! The bright orange is just perfect. I love your Evendoon, too -- I've made three or four. And now I always make my buttonholes with an I-cord. So tidy. Thanks for another lovely video with lots of yarny goodness!
A vlog chock full of much loveliness 😍 your cardigan, socks, cowl, crochet and all the beautiful yarn you have bought/been given. I must knit a hot water bottle cover too, I have exactly the same horrible non wool one as you, but in brown, I have dk wool that was on sale and I don't fancy knitting into any wareable item so it will be perfect for the cover.....And...I have the same basket as you, mine is a tab bigger and overflowing with yarn. Gosh I am an introvert and am very awkward with new people, my voice clams up and I don't know what to say, but get me amongst friends and I suddenly become an extrovert haha x
I’m so happy to see you! I’ve been looking everyday since Vlogtober for a new video. It looks like the retreat was wonderful. I’m so excited to see your new projects and Vlogmas ! 🤗
Such a lovely visit with you Becky 😊 I really love your new red cardi and it looks so good with your white shirt/ top- I hope you don’t mind me asking but I was wondering if you made your white top or where you bought it from? I’m in Australia though so unlikely I’d be able to get one- it just looks so neat and fresh! Your time at the retreat sounds simply magical!
Thanks very much, Becky. Your cardigan is beautiful. I love the toadstool socks. I have made 2 of the Granny Wraps so far (thanks to Ali's endorsement of the pattern) and they are really relaxing to make. I am currently crocheting the Persian Tiles throw by Janie Crow in the Marrakesh colourway. The yarn you showed at the end of the podcast is amazing. Looking forward to vlogmas.
So nice seeing your podcast back! If possible could you put up a picture when you’re talking about a pattern? I have to admit I’m not that trendy and I am not on Instagram or anything so when you mention a pattern just by its name and designer I have no idea what it looks like 😂 Oh and I am thinking of a granny wrap too. I don’t know it is about sitting in bed and cold shoulder, doesn’t bother me when I’m sitting on the couch 🤷♀️
Thank you! Sometimes it's not possible to share photos if they are copyrighted, which is why there are links in the description box. Let me know if I have missed the pattern you are looking for and I'll check the links. I'm really looking forward to wearing my shawl in bed! 😂
Lovely episode, Becky! Quick question- when you held the yarn double for your evendoon cardigan, did you wind off some yarn to hold double, or did you have two cones? It’s really beautiful!
No worries. Love your podcasts . Love the red Cadigan. Thank you for filming . Are the Canadian flag and the tiny wine glass stichmarkers or progress keepers? You are really wonderful.
Love that red sweater, the socks and all the things!! I’m so jealous of y’all’s retreat!! What a fabulous experience!! 🧶♥️🧶
I love the stitch deffinition you can get with wool yarn. I cannot wear it but love the look of it.
Such a fun catch up! I gasped when I I saw your Njord Socks....that yarn is perfect and totally my colours 🤩 You have so many good projects underway and in planning. The patch is iron on 🤓
LOVE your podcasts and so tickled you will be participating in Vlogmas again this year!!

Lovely to see you! Love all of your knits and your yarns. That retreat sounds lovely. I am busy with gift knitting and planning my 'after' knitting.

I’m making a colorwork dress with 3 colors for my granddaughter. It’s not fun. Definitely a labor of love. 😄
Ooooh this has all been lovely. The colour of your cardigan is absolutely divine.
I don't know how much longer I can hold out on the granny wrap.... 😂 I feel it in my near future.

Lovely podcast, lovely goodies. I think it was Gail who dyed something very similar to your beautiful yarn. Liz x

Oh my soul that Norma sweater 😍. I’m totally stealing your colour ideas! I have some hand spun that would be perfect 🥰🥰
Not a fumble by any means. Thanks for sharing your knitting adventures. Always inspiring!
Whilst watching I casted on my Christmas shawl. The Anthe by Natasja Hornby!! Can’t wait to see how it develops 😊
Thank you Becky all your wips and fo’s are amazing. I need to make a new blanket so going to make the Nature’s Walk 😊
I have some hurkle durkle yarn to use with Ruffles scappy balls to make a shawl. Wishing I could start that now but I have other projects on the go! Always the way! Really liked the yarn you dyed up.

Absolutely love your "Norma" sweater. Yarn looks beautiful, I'm so tempted 😉
Hi Becky. It was lovely to meet you at the woollay retreat. It was my friend Gail who dyed the skein similar to yours. Such an inspiring weekend 🧶🧶🧁
The retreat sounds wonderful!
Hi Becky - I think it was my yarn that looked very like yours although my inspiration picture was Hellebores, but I wanted it to be very much lighter. It was great to meet you on the retreat. xx
On a tough day it was so nice to visit with you and be happily distracted for a bit. Looking forward to vlogmas :)
The yarn you dyed is beautiful it is soft and delicate
Can’t wait to see it knitted up 😊
Thanks Sarah - I had a great teacher! 😂. I really recommend the Socks Yeah! DK - it's super squishy! x

Becky is love your new cardigan. You look fabulous in red!
BTW, you can estimate how much yarn you have left on the cone by weighing your Evendoon, then subtracting that from the original weight of the cone.
I’m so happy to see you! I’ve been looking everyday since Vlogtober for a new video. It looks like the retreat was wonderful. I’m so excited to see your new projects and Vlogmas ! 🤗
That was such a lovely catch up Becky, the My Favourite Things sweater is stunning. Have you seen the Field beret by Camilla Vad?
Beautiful cardigan & socks, I think your hot water bottle cover is great, I don't have a cover for mine hahaha hugs
Such a lovely visit with you Becky 😊 I really love your new red cardi and it looks so good with your white shirt/ top- I hope you don’t mind me asking but I was wondering if you made your white top or where you bought it from? I’m a knitting novice, how do you hold the yarn double coming off a cone?
Lovely episode, Becky! Quick question- when you held the yarn double for your evendoon cardigan, did you wind off some yarn to hold double, or did you have two cones? It’s really beautiful!
Thank you! I just wound off a ball and then pulled one end from the centre and one end from the outside at the same time.
No worries. Love your podcasts . Love the red Cadigan. Thank you for filming . Are the Canadian flag and the tiny wine glass stichmarkers or progress keepers? You are really wonderful.
Thank you! They are progress keepers.
