They call it a “Poppins Bag” because it’s the style of bag Mary Poppins used in the movies.

When you say the metal things are threaded in when your binding is sewn on. If the binding is sewn where is the hole you tread them thru?
That tubing looks like piping that you can find at hardware store
I think it's plumber tubing.
The tubing is like water line you can get at a hardware store. The hole for the metal rods is in the seam allowances.
When you do the side sashing, does it leave a quarter inch gap between the two sides?

Those are beautiful! Don't know if I could do that, but, will give it a try! What happened with the metal stays you showed at the beginning of the video?
Those are threaded in once you bind the top - the pattern has complete instructions. :)

Yes, that is all illustrated in the pattern, did not want to give too much away to infringe on the patten writers copyrights.

Yes it does have stays - you can see them in the photos - because of copyright - this is a pattern for purchase (I did not write it) we cannot give away everything on this video - everything is detailed in the pattern as well. Thanks for tuning in :). M
No handles?
The small one that I featured in the video has no handles the others at the end are examples of other sizes of Poppins bags.

Omg! You skipped so many steps! You failed to show the binding onto the zipper step. You just went to “I’m at the Lakehouse, made a mistake with the zipper now onto the bottom. Very disappointed.
This was just an overview. I did not write this pattern therefore I could not give all of the instructions and steps to make it . The intent was if you were interested to buy the actual pattern that has everything written out step by step - my visuals are just a supplement and an endorsement of the designers pattern. It was never intended for you to be able to make the project without a printed pattern.
