I'm plagued with it. In winter it's even worse. NHS doesnt help no more and the products are always hard to find. I'll definitely be checking these products out. More rosacea shorts please xxxxxx
Omg really ?? I also have psoriasis. She keeps talking about oily skin. What about us who are super dry with type 1 rosacea. Do you know what will help ? I stay red every single day. Ugh.
THANK YOOOOUUUUUU! I’ve been using Azelaic acid for years and omg the improvement is insane, like unrecognisable. But I was using niacinamide and it’s not reducing the redness I still get. Didn’t know about sulfur or mineral sunscreen though (had just been using normal sunscreen) thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏻
I don’t know where in the world you are but for sunscreen I use invisible zinc tinted. It made a big difference to my rosacea. But you have to pat it onto your face because it’s too thick to rub into the skin. Hope that helps.
@@chantellejane7229 thank you! I will try to find that brand, although it is not available in my country. I usually use mineral sunscreens from Helicare, Avene and Bioderma (all of them have titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as active ingredients).
Idk but I used this Paula's choice azelaic acid booster once and my skin got super irritated and itchy and red, the only way that it was kinda ok was when I used a really fatty cream afterwards but it still didn't feel good, thank god I got the money back, but idk it's definetly not for every skin! I think for me the problem was the acid, I have pretty sensitive skin
Paula’s Choice azelaic acid also has salicylic acid which could be causing irritation. Try the Inky List brand of azelaic acid that has allantoin to soothe skin.
Wow, this one had to be hard for you to film and say that all so fast. Thank you Dr. Idriss..this info will be so helpful for my Mom, who suffers from it. 💜
I have acne rosacea and all I use is the rosacea oil from forces of nature. It works every time and I actually haven’t been needing to use it daily. Only once in a while when I’ll get a flare up. And I moisturize everyday.
What’s the difference between acne rosacea and regular rosacea? I didn’t know there was such a thing.. do you get more breakouts in the area where you’ve had a flare up or something?
@@PiXie232 acne rosacea just means you have rosacea and tiny postulates that come out along with redness. I used to think I had acne and I tried everything to get rid of it and when nothing worked I went to a dermatologist and she told me it was acne rosacea.
@@polloloverable ahh, thank you for explaining. So is there ever a time when you just have the redness and not the little pustules? Because that’s exactly how my skin is.. I sometimes will get little tiny bumps where my rosacea is, and they can pop if I try to get them to.. (but they’re not really like regular pimples at all.. sometimes they even seem like super mini water blisters or something.. but usually my cheeks and sides of the face are just red. I wonder if I have the type you do..
@@PiXie232 yes, when I was very very stressed I had the postulates, and when I am in the Sun or heat will the postulates appear. But I do not touch them, if they appear, I apply the oil and it’ll go away, also, manuka honey, and a hydrating face mask and keeping my face fresh and cool works. Since I have been managing my stress and moisturizing I haven’t had flare ups, postulates, or noticeable redness.
No it isn't. I have very dry skin. As a matter of fact I didn't have rosacea until my skin became dry. It was oily when I was younger. That doesn't mean that people with oily skin can't have rosacea. It's just not a requirement 😊
Rosacea is more of an inflammation and can be a symptom of a different problem going on. I have autoimmune disease, which is an inflammatory disease, and I have mild Rosacea. I have very dry skin, but slightly oily on my nose and T-zone. There's a high chance of having Rosacea secondary to another disease, possibly autoimmune. It varies with the individual. Read up on it and see a dermatologist if you have a difficult case of Rosacea.
I’m also curious. I had oily skin starting in my early 20s, but now it feels so dry. My rosacea is so much worse in the winter when humidity is low and indoor heating is everywhere. Yet my skin still looks oily despite feeling dry and tight. I find myself questioning which came first: rosacea or the dryness? I was hit with both around the same time.
Just incorporate them as you would any other serum/cream/sunscreen. These all can be used with retinoids/serums and on the days when you exfoliate as well. The *only* one I’m not positive about using it when you exfoliate is the sulphur. I’m fairly certain that it’s completely fine to use with any of these but I would look it up just in case. I actually just started using it about a month ago- a gel cream called Prosacea and it’s 10% sulphur, and I use it every day on my cheeks and chin area (including days where I’ve exfoliated) and it has helped SO much. And my skin is very, very reactive and sensitive and I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. I also use all the products except for a mineral sunscreen. I haven’t ever been able to find one I like.. maybe I should keep looking but for now my chemical sunscreen is working great. I use beauty of Joseon sunscreen.. it’s the best one I’ve ever tried. It’s what got me to finally start wearing sunscreen everyday.
It’s funny because I bought Avene mineral sunscreen because I know it’s a good brand and I actually started loving wearing it because I felt my skin looked way better when I did
I'm use resorcinol and sulfur, it so so good for breakness, my first week was incredible ❤, I discovery on drogstore, because for 5 months salicylic acid not working 😢😢😢😢

How many takes did this tongue twister take? 😅 I'd love to see the blooper reel!! 😂
can u do more on rosacea?? as someone who has it, this is a highly left out topic/area in the skin industry!!
I agreeeee 😢
What can I use for my melasma I am getting more and more white spots
Yes! Same here!
Yes please we need more help!
Can you recommend brands?
She had a video dedicated to everything you can do for rosacea. There are prescriptions and lasers that make big differences
After years of my dermatologist not recommending any of this I bought exact products, use twice daily and my rosacea has cleared up.
Short, informative and to the point. Yay!!!!

I’ve found The Ordinary Azelaic Acid is the best and affordable

You can order prescription strength azelaic acid online too in the uk

I love it! How about ageing skin? Or is this condition a "choose one or death"-situation?
I can confirm your Depuffer is AMAZING for my rosacea. It even calms my psoriasis spots on my face.

What good alternatives to azelaic acid can you recommend for those who have asthma flareups?
