I already played this on my older piano a few years ago, but you know I want to re-record some of my older covers so here you are! This beautiful arrangement of Riku from KH2 was made by HypochondriacPiano. make sure you check out her channel here!: / hypochondriacpiano
My nickname has been HollowRiku for almost 20 years because of Riku, he's always been one of my favourite characters in the series, so playing his theme means a lot to me! ✨

I’m tearing up. It’s so beautiful. I love Riku so much and this song tells his story. How it goes from slow and semi depressing to fast pace,loud and uplifting to show his growth as he learns to not fight the darkness fully to embrace who he is and what he shall become. Then it slows to get quiet to show the path he’s on. Between light and dark. The path to dawn. A resolution to show he is at peace which allows him to become a key blade master!

Este tema es precioso. Sencillamente genial, y tu interpretación es fantástica.
Entiendo perfectamente lo que dices, sentir algo especial al tocar el tema de uno de tus personajes favoritos. Yo sentí lo mismo al interpretar el tema "The Other Promise" (casualmente también la adaptación de HypochondriacPiano), ya que Roxas es mi personaje favorito.
Me gusta que vuelvas a interpretar temas ya grabado. Te sigo desde hace mucho, tus videos en piano me fueron y son una gran inspiración, muchas veces me animaron a seguir tocando el piano. ¡Sigue así maestro!

Estuve practicando está canción hace muuuucho pero solo me salía hasta el segundo 0:40, luego combinar la izquierda y la derecha esq nose encontrar organización entre tantas notas jajajajaja cuando tenga piano otra vez a ver q tal me sale, ya te mandaré vídeos si eso😉👌

Do you know when we should step on the pedal,? I have the music sheet but it's not clear for me when
It really depends on many things (specially the piano you play and the room where you play it~). You should generally step on the pedal once per measure since the harmony tends to change at that path, but in the end what really matters is what you hear, so "clean" the pedal if you start to feel the sounds mix together too much!

Tbh I never liked Riku‘s theme personally in the game but I think this might be a exception. It reminds me of Tim burton for reason and also about waltzing.

It really depends on how your piano responds, which room you are, etc 😅 In this type of songs you should always press the pedal, but "cleaning" it every time the harmony changes (try it one pedal per measure to see if it works!)
