Hikari / Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru is clearly my favourite main theme from KINGDOM HEARTS, I think it faithfully represents the magic of the games~ I've wanted to make my own piano arrangement of it for a long time, but I always ended up postponing it :P So I'm quite happy I finally did it!
I've included small bits from many different versions:
- The first measures are a reference to Utada's first live recording of Simple and Clean
- From 2:03 to 2:52 - Orquestral version!
- 4:35 bit is from her amazing Utada United 2006 performance c:
- And the Simple and Clean melodic motif appears twice~ Most covers are solely based on the Hikari theme, so I really wanted to include it!

This arrangement is so good. As a massive fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, this is super good and unique while still being faithful to the original. I’ve always loved the part at 1:19 especially!

When it comes to kingdom hearts piano pieces the one piece you have to nail is Hikari and you completely nailed it

This is THE most beautiful arrangement of simple and clean I’ve ever heard and I’ve been a Kingdom Hearts fan since KH1. As an intermediate piano student, this makes me feel more excited about learning piano! 😊 Also, thank you for the sheet music!

This arrangement is amazing, I played KH as a kid and this brought back so many memories and nostalgia. The essence of this song is so powerful, and I really enjoyed the way you played this. I'm definitely going to try to learn this! Also thank you for linking the sheet music too :)

As i get older the series of Kingdom Hearts always seems kind of like a silly blurb in my timeline of interests. But the music always stood out to me. There is something significant about the music in this game. it conveys the story and tone of the game SO well. your rendition of this song is so passionate and captures the original essence of the game. Yet its so original. The way you voice some of the parts *chef kiss*

Yeah most arrangements are based on Hikari, the Japanese vocal version shares the same melody, but Simple and Clean has a different melody for the chorus and I wanted to include it too hehe, I hope you enjoy playing it! Remember this is my arrangement so feel free to modify some parts or change some things for your own performance if you feel like doing it!

Thank you! I think this one is probably easier to play~ The arpeggio part at 2:54 is quite similar to his arrangement, the rest is a bit less complicated here but I've never played his so I don't know for sure haha
