does anyone else remember seeing this show on toonami as a kid in 2010 and not really understanding the plot but still gettinf whats going on, on an emotional level? like i haven't watched this in 10 years but its stuck in the back of my head bc of how it made me feel
@@PyrexNemobeats It was when Toonami was just coming back on Adult Swim. Really, seems like an odd choice, but it was so depressing and sad. I myself was in college and this anime was really exactly what I both did and didn't need.
No other anime has given me the atmosphere of complete emptiness, bleakness, and hopelessness as much as casshern sins and yet it is the anime that has taught me the most about life, purpose, and death
A man who carries the sin of bringing ruin to a world that did not know the concept of death. His memory is gone, he has forgotten his sin, but the world could never do the same. He was created for the sole purpose of destruction, yet his fists wish for none. An accursed soul finds a being who is his complete opposite, a person who can inspire hope in a world that shatters any kind of warm notion. And so she sings within a cage set up by those who feed on others to survive, but Casshern creates a barrier of death and destruction to protect one of few final bastions of hope. He is tired, worn out, and spiritually broken. But his immortal body will not let him go, and his built in bloodlust will not allow him to back down. Tragedy is his master, and he will struggle on for all eternity. Thus is the fate of one who now embodies Death in the world. Casshern Sins. One giant trip of 'My life fucking sucks." And one of the best anime's ever based on a Hilarious 80's show.
You know what I liked most about this anime. The creators really knew how to make you feel like shit... It's like, this anime universe is dying and every single episode just knows the right exact way to stab you in the heart.
But do they believe in reconstitution? also i hear this same praises all the time is it really true. But whenever i search for info on the franchise i found a terrfying anime mess of "We have a long franchise".
Nothing will explain how much I believe Casshern Sins is a heavily underrated anime. Despite catching it back when it aired on Toonami in the early 2010s, it still stuck with me today in 2022. The themes, the emotions, the character-building, and the MUSIC- is absolutely unforgettable. If this anime series remains a niche gem, then so be it. Casshern Sins is awesome, and I enjoyed the experience it was when watching it.
Casshern sins wasn’t about feeling down and empty it was about finding a reason to preserver through the hardest of times even if you didn’t know what would happen. Because trying to live was better than just accepting death
I first watch this when I was 18 now I’m 32 and this scene is even more iconic to me know that it was then, to remain hopeful in a hopeless world 🌎. To struggle and watch the whole world (in our case society) crumble more and more each but meet great people along the way who helps make no so bad of a place even though the end in inevitable. Hits different as of 2023

0:15 This shot here just give goosebumps EVERYTIME. One of the most hopeless characters I have ever seen, fighting to protect hope. Such a good anime...
I had the words "a way out" stuck in my head for the past couple of days, wracking my brain trying to figure out what obscure song it came from. I finally found it and it feels good :)
I won't lie this thing is hard to listen too when you know that the character dies... and... everything involved in the scene. Thank you for posting this.
This song always brought me tears like the Diva singing the spark of hope in their darkest times as the knight protects the innocent allowing Hope to continue on. I remember Cashern Sins when reading a new manga reboot.
Casshern sins was really sad but good at the same time i never seen an anime that made me want to cry every episode i love every character ❤ i had to come back and watch it again after 12 years and i understand what was happening i hope casshern return August 20 2020 i won't ever forget this anime 😭
Un anime muy especial y único. Esta BSO es sublime en el escenario que la plantean. Muy triste todo, me dolió mucho el final de Lyuze. Se debió quedar con Casshern haciendo robotitos 😢
I didn't know there was a previous work called Casshan: Robot Hunter for the longest time. I recommend anyone to watch it. Also listen to The Stand by the Protomen
Eight years late but fun fact, Toru Nakayama, the main artist for the Zero series, recently said in an interview that one of his main inspirations from childhood was Umakoshi Yoshihiko, an artist that would later go on to be the main character designer for Casshern Sins.
I guess it's due to its predecessor. People might think this is the continuation from the 80's casshern but it took a completey different nuance. Despite that this show is still better if people just see it as different show

This is what happens when cartoons/anime don't treat their viewers like imbeciles
It was sad AF
One of the best animes though

Try evangelion
Try texhnolyze

Well said.

Perfect and beautiful description, not only for the episode, but for the whole masterpiece that is this series.
NoxTheRegicide 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
And up to this time I still play amvs from this anime.
I can't watch the original after I saw this one
That's what i heard is it really true , my only interactions with this franchise is with the tsunoko vs capcom.
The most underrated anime I've ever seen. This is even one of my favorite anime. It's fucking superb.
It sure is. ( ;-;)
What’s it called?

CARALHO, VOCÊ POR AQUI

And confusing with very little answers.

so this is why we have covid-19

One of those scenes that just sticks with you for life.
"We are free
Like water flows
We are one
As we feel the lone"
Such a good song, perfect for this scene

I think this song rather defines Casshern Sins as a anime, its soooooooo beautiful!
Lyrics:

Do you even smile?

Oh man. I am so turning this song into a fart song.
2022 and Still one of my fav scenes in an anime. Director made an amazing job
0:15 This shot here just give goosebumps EVERYTIME. One of the most hopeless characters I have ever seen, fighting to protect hope. Such a good anime...
When I saw that scene I was like “yup, people are gonna die today”
I had the words "a way out" stuck in my head for the past couple of days, wracking my brain trying to figure out what obscure song it came from. I finally found it and it feels good :)
Damn I loved this anime...but its so depressing. last anime to make me cry was Gungrave and Wolf's Rain.
Gungrave is one of my favorites ^^
The transition of Harry becoming bloody Harry was twisted and vile.
What about Elfen Lied?
Wolfs rain got to me bad
definitely one the best animes out there. cudos to the author and animators.
agreed
I’m back years later. This scene still powerful af
I love how this song keeps playing throughout the whole series after this scene.
Is it me or does the fighting sound effects make it better? lol
It's not just you.
Fr
That's why they made it like this in the first place.
;- D
It does indeed. This us the best version for me
I was think n the same bro lol
Such an underrated masterpiece
This scene is powerful af
Definitely a Top 10 Underground Anime.
It’s depressing how little people know of this anime
One of the best scenes ever in a seriously underrated anime.
I come back to this from time to time, this is still probably the most underrated anime I ever watched.
4:12 jesus the art in this show is gorgeous.
*THIS IS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED*
Mmm one of my favorite anime to date. Oh I remember waiting for each new episode..
Same
I haven't heard this song or watched this anime in years but I still know this song by heart
hits me every time 😭
I remember this episode. Beautiful song! Loved how they kept playing it throughout the series. So much truth in it.
I won't lie this thing is hard to listen too when you know that the character dies... and... everything involved in the scene. Thank you for posting this.
Only the second time in an anime that I've ever teared up a bit.
First time being Clannad: After Story of course.
Right!
U got that right :)
ClannadL After Story..... My feelings weren't amused... :(
Try Sakuratsou and AnoHana.
Seriously, only this moment? For me the most touching moment was the painter who asked Casshern to paint him in his color while he was dying...
The tears don’t stop flowing
I Love how people remember and comeback to feel casshern💔
This song always brought me tears like the Diva singing the spark of hope in their darkest times as the knight protects the innocent allowing Hope to continue on.
I remember Cashern Sins when reading a new manga reboot.
That last image of Casshern always shatters me
A song with hope for the future, in Casshern's world of ruin...
Might need to revisit this show - I watched it whenever it was on as, like, a 10-y-o.
I dedicate this song to the victims of war.
One of the best anime's ever made!
Ce son est magnifique avec la Baston derrière ca rends encore mieux, surtout au casque c'est incroyable !!!!
I swear I wasn't crying again. Something gets in my eyes every time I watch this video
Recently Found out Casshern started in the 70's Neo-human Casshern (sometimes casshan) Gonna watch it later.
I seen all the episodes of this anime i love it
A true masterpiece.
i miss this anime so much!! it has a really good story.
Un anime simplemente... hermoso.

Those Animations quality was better than nowadays
I still come back to the feels of this 🖤
Years later this song still makes me emotional 😭😭
Casshern always reminded me of Zero from Megaman Zero. I know it isn't exactly the same but they seem to follow path of hardship.

*A year later reply*
A lot in MegaMan was inspired by the original Casshern.
I didn't know there was a previous work called Casshan: Robot Hunter for the longest time. I recommend anyone to watch it. Also listen to The Stand by the Protomen
I grew up with with casshern sins and that was the first thought I had when I played megaman zero 4.
Eight years late but fun fact, Toru Nakayama, the main artist for the Zero series, recently said in an interview that one of his main inspirations from childhood was Umakoshi Yoshihiko, an artist that would later go on to be the main character designer for Casshern Sins.
Honestly this anime is so fucking good. This episode had me in tears when I first saw it.
one of the best if not the best moment in casshern sins
Why this vid don't have over million veiws?
I listened to Cyberpunk Edge Runner OST and I don't know why, but I suddenly remembered this song.
The Golden Age of anime in America though it is sad it no longer exists at least it existed

Great song you sound Great !
This is one of my favorite songs back when adult swim and Cartoon Network were actually at their prime.
Who's listening in 2030?
I don't get why this anime has such bad reviews :X
Obliviously those reviews were by people who never got to this episode.
It does?
Archeia It's because of the OBVIOUS plot holes in the anime.
Archeia it's too deep for most people while being incredibly slow paced
I guess it's due to its predecessor. People might think this is the continuation from the 80's casshern but it took a completey different nuance. Despite that this show is still better if people just see it as different show
one of the best anime out there but very underrrated
this scene made me fall in love with this anime
I liked this anime enjoyed watching it from the very beginning. But I fell in love with it when I watched episode 8. Serenely mind blowing.
this is so beautiful.
this was an amazing show
Essa cena foi marcante, é o que basicamente me faz lembrar do anime.
love this scene, and the scene about the two robots falling in love in your last moments.
It was a very good one. I still remember.
2:17 Casshern rising then the cut to this shot is so good
Extremely often, most people tend to ignore it every day.
This anime tell me that Humanity is such a ugly but also precious.
He will fight on suffering
The show is so touching
i absolutely love this song and this show, im currently up to episode 18....damn its good
I literally cried during this episode
this song makes this scene one of best scenes in all anime
Simplemente de los mejores animes que he visto :'')
