Bleach was the first anime I ever watched. I didn't start listening to anime op/ed's until two years later. RUclips recommended this video to me, and I thought "This song is really good". I added it on my spotify after. I made an anime only playlist around the same time, and when I asked myself if I wanted to add this to it I said, "Well, most people won't be able to tell it's NOT from an actual anime, so why not?", so I did. i wish i continued learning Japanese to be N3. i get too distracted with games and other hobbies i just dont put the time in anymore. i was teaching myself and using Rosetta stone back in high-school. i got good pronunciation, vocab and very basic grammar skills. this is still one of my favorite songs from those days. the only reason i listen to music because of these J-Rock bands. before then i didn't care for music in the slightest.
@@abdouu5300 1.Pronounciation and learning Hiragana and Katakana. Don't try to pronounce Japanese words as weird English words, mimic the accent to sound better when speaking the language. Plenty of videos on learning this stuff and not hard to find. Also learning basic phrases like Hello and Thank you are a good start. Also, STOP USING ROMAJI ASAP. 2.Anki. Some people may have complaints with it, but Anki is an SRS Flashcard program for free on PC and Android, but you have to bust your wallet if on an Apple device. Anki is only have the work and the other half is immersion. 3.There is this test called the JLPT, and it's levels are basically N5-Baby N4-Less Baby N3-Can make conversations N2-Can function like an adult N1-Understand mostly everything. The JLPT does'nt have everything as to pass N1 you need 10k words while Japanese people know about 30k-50k, so N1 is a massive feat that takes about 4 years but it is not the end and there is more to learn. But JLPT is still useful for gauging your progress and learning grammar. You can go on Google and research the JLPT some more and if you want to take the test. 4.Kanji. DON'T IGNORE KANJI. Your life will suck without it because kanji is the closest thing Japanese has to spaces between words. A sentence like 最近あの男の子の猫は寝るしかやってない。 Japanese has no spaces right? So kanji is the closest thing to it. My method of learning all 2,136 JLPT kanji is to take a word I already learned and pin a kanji to it. For example, I learn to say けっこん, then I learn the kanji 結. I find the word I know it is used in, and then my brain goes from けっこん to 結こん, then I just keep learning new kanji and I find 婚, see that it is in 結こん and now the word is learned in it's proper form of 結婚, and I learned one of the many pronounciations for those two kanji and I think of Kanji as a puzzle. 5.Pitch accent. There are many videos online about it, but don't stress out about it. Just do some light practice on it and then focus on your Anki and immersion. 6.Immersion. This is going to be the heavy lifting of your Japanese journey. Sitting down and watching and reading stuff at your level with a few words you don't know is okay, as long as you understand most of the content and you see maybe 5 unkown words, great! You're learning and reinforcing what you reviewed on Anki and doing the othet half of the work. Anki alone is useless, but Anki+Immersion=Success. 7.Mindset and attitude-Japanese is hard, there are days where you want to quit, but don't give up! Just keep staying on that daily grind and you will climb that mountain. Just be patient and keep going. Whatever motivates you to learn Japanese, think of that as your reason to keep going and then studying will become a habit. Like how a crack addict won't stop using crack, turn learning Japanese into that. Become addicted to learning it every single day with your goal in mind motivating you and you will be fluent. Don't ever stop learning. Even when it feels like you're not progressing, you are. It is just the mindset that you need is this: Patience and dedication are the key. You got this, you're smart and if anybody can do it, then why the hell not you? You can do it. 8.Resources: Anki, JLPT Sensei, Shin Kanzen Master books, Genki I and II textbooks to help get your foot in the door, Animelon, any Japanese speaking VTuber if you like those, a Japanese twitter account to practice reading (JP twitter is heaven compared to the English speaking shithole known as English twitter), Netflix and a VPN to put you in Japan, italki for tutors and speaking practice, imported manga and other books like Novels, Light Novels, and maybe play some story heavy games like Nier or Yakuza or Persona in Japanese, some good youtubers are Livakivi for motivation and his videos on how to learn Japanese with all 4 videos are uploaded, Japanese Ammo with Misa and Real Japanese Miku for grammar help, Yuyuの日本語Podcast for some listening (Don't beat yourself up if you can't understand him, あかね的日本語教室 for vlogs and when your Japanese gets better, you can watch 日本語の森 around N3 level. And more recently, Game Gengo, I HIGHLY reccommend his content where he teaches Japanese with video games. Japanesepod101 is a good channel and you can try their program on their website if you want, and Risa is one of the most entertaining teachers. I reccomend learning Hiragana, Katakana, and a video called "100 Phrases Every Japanese Beginner Must Know" to really help you out. Good luck and never give up!!! You can learn Japanese!!! You will be fluent!!! It is not impossible!!! You got this!!!!

RUclips recommended this to my playlist while I was driving. The first time I heard this song I felt catchy but meh because I didn't see the MV nor understand the lyrics. The 2nd time I was on the road and hearing it immediately brought me back to my college years and my time with my exgf, plus I had goosebumps all over, no idea why. The 3rd time around I tried to push my exgf and the time we spent together out of my head to no avail. I got home today and listened for the 4th time still the same experience with more goosebumps. Surreal. I looked up the lyrics and translations. That's when I realized the lyrics is literally describing our relationship, which also happened to came out during the same time we're hurting each other but still in love(2008). You've transcended time and language, this is magic.

Bleach was the first anime I ever watched. I didn't start listening to anime op/ed's until two years later. RUclips recommended this video to me, and I thought "This song is really good". I added it on my spotify after. I made an anime only playlist around the same time, and when I asked myself if I wanted to add this to it I said, "Well, most people won't be able to tell it's NOT from an actual anime, so why not?", so I did. i wish i continued learning Japanese to be N3. i get too distracted with games and other hobbies i just dont put the time in anymore. i was teaching myself and using Rosetta stone back in high-school. i got good pronunciation, vocab and very basic grammar skills.
this is still one of my favorite songs from those days. the only reason i listen to music because of these J-Rock bands. before then i didn't care for music in the slightest.

@@abdouu5300 1.Pronounciation and learning Hiragana and Katakana. Don't try to pronounce Japanese words as weird English words, mimic the accent to sound better when speaking the language. Plenty of videos on learning this stuff and not hard to find. Also learning basic phrases like Hello and Thank you are a good start. Also, STOP USING ROMAJI ASAP.
2.Anki. Some people may have complaints with it, but Anki is an SRS Flashcard program for free on PC and Android, but you have to bust your wallet if on an Apple device. Anki is only have the work and the other half is immersion.
3.There is this test called the JLPT, and it's levels are basically N5-Baby N4-Less Baby N3-Can make conversations N2-Can function like an adult N1-Understand mostly everything. The JLPT does'nt have everything as to pass N1 you need 10k words while Japanese people know about 30k-50k, so N1 is a massive feat that takes about 4 years but it is not the end and there is more to learn. But JLPT is still useful for gauging your progress and learning grammar. You can go on Google and research the JLPT some more and if you want to take the test.
4.Kanji. DON'T IGNORE KANJI. Your life will suck without it because kanji is the closest thing Japanese has to spaces between words. A sentence like 最近あの男の子の猫は寝るしかやってない。 Japanese has no spaces right? So kanji is the closest thing to it. My method of learning all 2,136 JLPT kanji is to take a word I already learned and pin a kanji to it. For example, I learn to say けっこん, then I learn the kanji 結. I find the word I know it is used in, and then my brain goes from けっこん to 結こん, then I just keep learning new kanji and I find 婚, see that it is in 結こん and now the word is learned in it's proper form of 結婚, and I learned one of the many pronounciations for those two kanji and I think of Kanji as a puzzle.
5.Pitch accent. There are many videos online about it, but don't stress out about it. Just do some light practice on it and then focus on your Anki and immersion.
6.Immersion. This is going to be the heavy lifting of your Japanese journey. Sitting down and watching and reading stuff at your level with a few words you don't know is okay, as long as you understand most of the content and you see maybe 5 unkown words, great! You're learning and reinforcing what you reviewed on Anki and doing the othet half of the work. Anki alone is useless, but Anki+Immersion=Success.
7.Mindset and attitude-Japanese is hard, there are days where you want to quit, but don't give up! Just keep staying on that daily grind and you will climb that mountain. Just be patient and keep going. Whatever motivates you to learn Japanese, think of that as your reason to keep going and then studying will become a habit. Like how a crack addict won't stop using crack, turn learning Japanese into that. Become addicted to learning it every single day with your goal in mind motivating you and you will be fluent. Don't ever stop learning. Even when it feels like you're not progressing, you are. It is just the mindset that you need is this: Patience and dedication are the key. You got this, you're smart and if anybody can do it, then why the hell not you? You can do it.
8.Resources: Anki, JLPT Sensei, Shin Kanzen Master books, Genki I and II textbooks to help get your foot in the door, Animelon, any Japanese speaking VTuber if you like those, a Japanese twitter account to practice reading (JP twitter is heaven compared to the English speaking shithole known as English twitter), Netflix and a VPN to put you in Japan, italki for tutors and speaking practice, imported manga and other books like Novels, Light Novels, and maybe play some story heavy games like Nier or Yakuza or Persona in Japanese, some good youtubers are Livakivi for motivation and his videos on how to learn Japanese with all 4 videos are uploaded, Japanese Ammo with Misa and Real Japanese Miku for grammar help, Yuyuの日本語Podcast for some listening (Don't beat yourself up if you can't understand him, あかね的日本語教室 for vlogs and when your Japanese gets better, you can watch 日本語の森 around N3 level. And more recently, Game Gengo, I HIGHLY reccommend his content where he teaches Japanese with video games. Japanesepod101 is a good channel and you can try their program on their website if you want, and Risa is one of the most entertaining teachers. I reccomend learning Hiragana, Katakana, and a video called "100 Phrases Every Japanese Beginner Must Know" to really help you out.
Good luck and never give up!!! You can learn Japanese!!! You will be fluent!!! It is not impossible!!! You got this!!!!

RUclips recommended this to my playlist while I was driving. The first time I heard this song I felt catchy but meh because I didn't see the MV nor understand the lyrics. The 2nd time I was on the road and hearing it immediately brought me back to my college years and my time with my exgf, plus I had goosebumps all over, no idea why. The 3rd time around I tried to push my exgf and the time we spent together out of my head to no avail. I got home today and listened for the 4th time still the same experience with more goosebumps. Surreal. I looked up the lyrics and translations. That's when I realized the lyrics is literally describing our relationship, which also happened to came out during the same time we're hurting each other but still in love(2008).
