I have been waiting to see how many YEARS it would take for my husband to fix our loose TP holder and i'm tired of waiting (it's been at least 5 years haha). This was the easiest video to understand. I'm heading to Home Depot today to get new anchors and I'm going to do this myself. THANK YOU !!!!!
@@KS-eu2vf 😂😂😂😂 u don't get another man because of this but u gave me a good laugh tho. I need to get mine fixed but the wall where the screws go is weak like it's going to make a big hole in the wall. I'm just go call this handy man.
Thank you so much for this video! I live in a rented apartment and have been waiting 6 months on maintenance to fix the toilet paper holders and towel rack. With this easy step by step video I was able to walk my 9 and 10yr old boys through the process of fixing both. They had fun using the drill and learning how the bolt anchors work. Thanks again, keep doing what you do. God Bless.
Awesome! Thank you. We live in a new build house. They do subpar work. There's no quality work anymore. Even for something simple as installing the arms of this toilet paper holder. I've dismantled ours a few times on accident. Fiance was getting tired of having to fix it. Told him to teach me, but he keeps forgetting. New RUclips wouldn't let me down! So simple. I want to spray paint all our chrome toilet paper holders, including the towel holders. Now that I know how to do this, I can take this little project on myself. Thank you for taking the time! I'll leave the bigger projects to my hand man of a fiance. 😊
Thank you!! I cannot say enough good things about these anchors. I've tried spring molly bolts, drywall anchors like you had at the beginning of the video and nothing worked. These are the best !!
Thank you for making this! I’ve been trying to figure out how to tighten one of the toilet paper role handles and had no idea there was a screw underneath. All I needed to do was watch 3 minutes of this video, and tighten the screw. Solved!
I just needed to watch to the point that there was a small screw underneath attaching the roll handle to the plate. But I watched all the way through and I kinda know my stuff. I used to hold flashlights and tell my father which wire was red and which was blue because he was color blind. I learned a lot from him- everything from car maintenance to soldering pipes. You explain things very well. I am giving you a like and subscribing. You are a natural teacher. Some people have that quality/skill and many don't. It's a hard skill to learn. Thank you for posting this video. p.s. that is the first time I have ever seen a pin like the red one you used. (tucking that away for future info)
I do NOT EVER comment on videos....NEVER! But after watching this short, VERY informative video I had a smile on my face and felt confident enough to tackle my own loose towel bars. GREAT, straight to the point instructions!!!
Great video, thank you so much for taking the time to make this. I especially enjoyed the cardboard to show the difference of the anchors. Much appreciated.
Nice video. Very simple and delivered with a sense of humor. Great job! I did pretty much the same thing as you describe but in my case toggle bolts worked nicely because I was drilling into the side of a vanity to hang my toilet paper holder there. It was necessary to shorten the rather long screws with my bolt cutter, but that took only a few seconds.
Awesome video! When I saw the drill bit I groaned, thinking this was going to be super complicated. However, I think even I can do this fix. Hooray! 👍🏼
Great video! I just followed along with you the best I could. As a female, I just didn’t have enough strength to push those toggles deep enough to be flushed into the wall so I used a rubber hammer to knock them in. Also, that red pin was also too hard for me to push inside the toggle. I tried to use the rubber hammer to knock it in but the darn red thing broke off. So I improvised by using the tiny flat head screw driver to push in the toggle since my stupid red pin broke. The tiny flat head screw driver worked like a charm. It was the same tiny screw driver I used to remove the tiny screws from underneath both sides of the holder. Overall this was an awesome video! Thank so much for posting it. Maybe my comment can help women and some one who doesn’t have a lot of strength.
Nice job thanks! My short-term fix was to put extra thin superglue in the the hole and then use a bigger anchor! Not recommended long term but it's holding pretty well for now!
with this lesson, im thinking about becoming a carpenter. i do wonder how would someone remove those anchors if the butterfly wings are flared out inside the sheetrock ?
Great video! Question, if you ever want to or need to replace those new anchors, is there a special way to do it to not leave a giant hole in the wall?
How do you remove these kind of anchors? Also, the hex screw on one of the arms is tight but the arm keeps popping off the brackets. Does the hex screw (when it screws into the bottom hole) have to go behind the bracket to tighten the assembly or in front of it? Something is amiss. Thanks.
Great instructional. I'm guessing you cant pull out a butterfly style insert if you had to replace it. Just drill it out and it falls behind the dry wall?
I just want to let you that you’re a lifesaver 🙏🏼 I didn’t have a little flathead to unscrew little guy’s, so I used my blade. And EVERYTHING Is just as tight like brand new 🙌🏼💪🏼🫡
Now that is a crappy job lol :-D The plastic rawlplugs were never designed for drywall, no supprise that they failed, but into brick/cement yes :-) I like the locking wing type, clever :-D The locked wing plugs remind me of the metal ones for plasterboard. Is your drywall similar to the plasterboard we use for ceilings, (cardboard/plaster/cardboard) sandwich?, its crap to hang light fittings from lol.
+zx8401ztv The standard drywall here is gypsum powder sandwiched between 2 sheets of paper. I hate working an a ceiling because the dust inevitably gets in my eyes. It comes in plywood size sheets that are attached to the house, and then the seams are covered with paper tape and joint compound.
These didn't work at all!!!! I had to but 4 metal screws woth 3 metal butterfly that you fold towards you and install not fold towards wall that's why they wouldn't go in JUNK!!!!!

Go Girl... amazing what you learn on here.. I have fixed my standing a/c unit!!!!
Yes go for it! You can do it 👍
You should pick up a new husband at the home depot as well

Yea you show him boss girl. REAL women go on youtube to whine about their husband's. Strong independent women don't need no man.

Glad to help. It will be much sturdier with the new anchors. If you decide to paint the chrome it should be sanded first. Good luck!

Picked up a pack of toggles today and fixed it myself. Hubby is impressed...thanks to your video 😊🤫👍
You saved my rented apartment bathroom. Towel racks AND toilet paper holder. Thank you!

You did a great job of bringing humor into a "bore you to tear" subject. It was practical and very easy to follow. Thanks for your Video!!
Great video, thank you so much for taking the time to make this.

This repair video spoke to me on a spiritual level

Most Excellent video!! I especially liked the cardboard model you made which improved my overall understanding.
Awesome video...I knew a larger anchor was required. Love that you were specific as to size & brand. Thank you.

Thank you! I actually have a repair I did myself, in one day, and in one trip to the hardware store. This is a first.
After watching 10 TP tactival reload, this man saved me from wasting even more of my life, with his long video.

Thank you! I was going NUTS trying to figure out how to fix my Moms!
Thank God for this video
"I made that myself" (visual aid). HAHAHAHA!!
Great video! Question, if you ever want to or need to replace those new anchors, is there a special way to do it to not leave a giant hole in the wall?
Excellent, thanks.

You're my new hero. Thanks! :D
Good job buddie showing it to us.

+Angela Mack Should be the same type of thing. Thanks for the comment.
"after years of vigorous toilet paper unrolling......."

The plate behind the arms bent on my holder. What are those called and where do I get one that matches the other?
I just want to let you that you’re a lifesaver 🙏🏼 I didn’t have a little flathead to unscrew little guy’s, so I used my blade. And EVERYTHING Is just as tight like brand new 🙌🏼💪🏼🫡
Glad I could help!
thanks a million
Is it possible to remove this type of anchor later on without damaging the wall badly?
good job
Thank you 🙏🏻
You’re awesome thank you so much!
Single mom here... thx!
Thx man
I kept expecting you'd turn into the Hulk
How do you tighten a stripped recessed( the head hidden upside the wall mount) Allen head screw
I have the same problem, only with a slotted head.
"Sturdy as she goes" 😅
Anyone else feel like his pic pops up under a web search of "dad jokes"?
are the toggles meant for any screw size?
what if you don't have a drill?
My metal castings have no screws to loosen. Idk how to remove them except to rip it off the wall
When you said arms, the rod, and the roll.. you should have drum rolled haha would’ve sold it 🥹
Mine aren't going in all the way help!!
Was that single ply..???
👍🏾
This won't work if you have a hole bigger than 5/16 you'll need metal toggle bolts instead
Now that is a crappy job lol :-D

Please tell me this toilet paper fix is in the shasta and we are going to also be putting on the siding in this video lol
tactical reload brought me here
the paper - down the front or down the back . .
What if there is no screw at the bottom, then what lol
You're cute 😍 totally makes doing this stuff less mundane 😂
The holes in mine are vertical 🤦♂️
Looks easy too bad I'm disabled
couldnt you just break a pencil in half and duct tape one half to each side then tie a blue string around it to hold it in place? thats what i did.
I fell on top of it and it broke
Bro, your fingernails
These didn't work at all!!!! I had to but 4 metal screws woth 3 metal butterfly that you fold towards you and install not fold towards wall that's why they wouldn't go in JUNK!!!!!
