This was one of the best "Real Lawyer Reacts" I've seen. I laughed so hard. Did you notice, the defense attorney left the courtroom immediately? You can see him at the door when the plaintiff's wife stopped the prosecutor. Don't they usually stay with the defendant?
9:25 Dude, I’m no law expert, but I imagine, as soon as the DA made that first tear in the transactions document, most lawyers would’ve been like “Alright buster, I’m lower on the ladder, but even I know you’re out of line. That’s blatant tampering with evidence!” And just immediately press charges against the DA
Legal Eagle puts more thought into a Dhar Mann video than Dhar Mann. I love how tearing up the credit statement invalidates the statement. I guess there is no tape in the Dhar Mann universe.
7:24 OBJECTION: They would absolutely run a news article about it if the DA managed to get a life sentence for a crime that's max sentencing is 10 years
Watching Devon just absolutely lose his mind over the course of this video is just so incredibly entertaining. And you know it says something when he says THIS is the most unrealistic legal proceeding he’s ever seen. And this man has watched Bee Movie! This is less realistic than Bee Movie!
Better title to the video would’ve been “Incompetent defense attorney almost gets his innocent client sent to prison, lives to be indifferent about it”
Watching you get flabbergasted is worth the price of admission. It was quite enjoyable watching you get so mad about everything. I enjoy these so much!
It would be very drawn out and boring, most likely. Court trials can take months to years if the defendant waves their right to a speedy trial (which is logical if the defense needs more time to gather evidence.) In order to make it entertaining and even bearable for the average viewer, they’d have to cut a lot of procedures out of the script
Okay, but surely there's a way to conjure up a court case that's interesting enough for TV, right? By "realistic", I don't mean your average, everyday case, but one that could generate headlines but could plausibly happen. And of course you would cut out all the boring parts that aren't strictly necessary and compress the events into whatever length is appropriate. By "as accurate as possible", I don't mean literally as realistic as humanly possible to everyday life, I mean one that doesn't violate established courtroom laws and procedures without acknowledging the unusualness and making it part of the story, that kind of idea.
There was an actual case where a man was being tried for a crime in one city while he was at a ball game in a different city. They were able to verify his alibi because the game was being used in an episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the camera actually happened to pan across him, in the stands, in the clothing he described from that day. There is a Netflix doc about it as well.
Ah, that was the case I was thinking about. I thought this video was referencing that, and instead just got stupid lucky on one point (or he just wanted to steal the idea for his shotty video).

But if she waited much longer her family would’ve been sent to the island of perpetual tickling! then yes, it would have been too late to do the right thing.
true fact, It's not too late to come to Jesus and get saved. in His great power He had salvation planned for us before He created all things. God came as Jesus in the flesh to go and pay our sin debt on the cross, He sufferd for us, He was beaten, cursed at, mocked at, and Insulted it! He took our punishment our sins to the cross, He had no sin in Him for He was sinless. He was treated like a criminal, He could've called His Holy angels down to get them but in His mercy He didn't. His love for us kept Him there on the cross. if He didn't go to the cross for us then we all would be in hell, only true love would that and that true love is Jesus. Jesus died and paid our sin debt in full ( Isaiah 53:7, John 19:30). He paved the only way that we can be saved which is by and through Him alone ( John 14:6). then God the Father rose Jesus on the third day with glory and power and triumph and He ( in His Omnipotence) conquered hell and sin and death and even broke down the wall that separated us from Him so we can come to Him and be saved and have a relationship with Him. believe in God and repent of your sins and God will forgive of all your sins and He will cleanse you of your sins your unrighteousness and past and then He will make you born again by His Holy Spirit ( John 3:3-18). God bless

You might as well just watch an actual trial at that point lol
Okay, but surely there's a way to conjure up a court case that's interesting enough for TV, right? By "realistic", I don't mean your average, everyday case, but one that could generate headlines but could plausibly happen. And of course you would cut out all the boring parts that aren't strictly necessary and compress the events into whatever length is appropriate. By "as accurate as possible", I don't mean literally as realistic as humanly possible to everyday life, I mean one that doesn't violate established courtroom laws and procedures without acknowledging the unusualness and making it part of the story, that kind of idea.

I assume he's saying it more like "That's improper: Racism." Because improper remarks in the summations, which I think is what this part of the trial is (Who the hell knows at this point), can, and usually do, cause a mistrial. The act is considered 'Improper' because it is 'Racism'.

Some of them might be critics.
You'd be surprised how often this garbage gets shared and taken as something deep when it's just such ego trip BS
@@julietfischer5056 if you read the comments on DM's videos on Facebook you would be blown away from the worship like attitude
They are all over Facebook as well. All the scripts are super unrealistic, they're basically just fairytales for grownups. Simplified morality tales and stereotyped characters. I have seen a few here and there when I was scrolling around.
I watch his videos but in a so bad is good kinda way.
He have no idea how people in real life behave.
You know what's funny? He made more court episodes who are equaly unrealistic (I'm not a lawer myself)
The defense attorney didn’t just drop the ball, he forgot it at home.
It's hilarious how much this is breaking Devin's brain.
This is underrated comment
I forgot his name is Devin.
BRO HE LOOKS LIKE DEVINN WESTON
@@st3am267 lmao not really tho
If you were at a Dodgers game in LA, wouldn't that be the easiest thing to prove? There must be records, maybe tickets and plenty of witnesses? The lawyer was like "uh uh no we got nothing" 😂
Indeed not to mention the stadium is going to have security and CCTV and all that stuff. They pretty much have to have both to protect their revenue and of course they host large public events which are clearly a potentially high profile target for any crackpot that wants to make a statement too so you need to be on the lookout for suspicious people attempting to smuggle in arms or whatever.
Bro hired the most incompetent lawyer on the planet.
Better question: why would he even be a suspect in the first place? This would have stopped at the level of the basic police investigation. The cops would have found out he wasn't in town, and removed him from the list of suspects.
@@Nixeu42 Better question: How the man get arrested for life on assault charges?
@@justasentientmclarenp1879 I mean, I chalk that up to Dhar Mann just not knowing how mandatory maximum sentencing works/that it exists. Or that he wanted to drive the point of "this unjust" home with a sledgehammer.
As a total aside, does anyone else feel like all his videos would work better as Saturday-morning, over-the-top cartoons? Dhar Mann could have had a career at Warner Bros, making Looney Tunes sketches, I swear. Yosemite Sam as the prosecutor, Porky Pig as the defense lawyer, maybe Bugs Bunny as the judge...it could totally work.
Watching Dhar Mann makes me giggle in any case... but watching Devin actively lose his mind over it actually made me laugh out loud.
Yeah you’d think that a felon like darr Mann would know the legal system
@@clockguy7647 oh yea he was found as a con artist

No need to compare diamond with real attorneys and stuff only thing they're doing is trying to show people how to do the right thing and stop stereotyping people. Trying to make diamonds him like he's the bad guy
