      actually, no, it's a point that was brought by many black people during the sixties, and continuing to this day. The argument is that the jury represent the people who are available (which in the US means that black people faced a jury that was always majority white). Here the argument would be that the majority (that answered) where human. whether it's it's fair is a question for criminologists. the question of legality, however, is for the judge to answer. (also, having said this, I am only a student of criminology, from Australia, and certainly no lawyer.)

      @@mrtoadal2866 I think this actually came up during the OJ Simpson trial process, where it was believed one of the biggest mistakes the prosecution made was the fact they filed it in LA instead of Santa Monica. This resulted in a mostly black jury instead of what would have been an almost white jury. Subsequently, in the later 2008 case, the prosecution deliberately got rid of the only two black people in the jury, believing they would be more sympathetic to his case...
      So, while it isn't an official problem, lawyers will definitely play into that when selecting jury members...

      The Bee dies after he stings you because basically that area full of their organs just ripped in two.
      As for endangerment, that actually has nothing to do with their near extinction. It's because people find Beehives in their area and destroys them, the air pollution we produce poisoning them and the urban landscape removing more and more flowers for them to use.
      The Bee knows stinging you kills it, so it avoids it until you provoke them enough, unless it's a hostile breed. Bumblebees for example are pretty harmless, he may check you out but he's harmless for the most part, just keep a distance from his hive, and the Hive can repopulate the lost numbers...if you let them.

      Daniel Feldsien Damn.

    • @gabe2349
      @gabe2349 5 лет назад +97

      Then they shouldn’t have sued under U.S law. Damages in a court are determined by the court and the law. Plaintiffs don’t get to decide what they will receive for compensation. I’m sure that’s an argument the bees could make, but it would probably be ignored due to the fact that they’ve already agreed to one of the United States’ civil institutions: the courts.

    • @Daorf
      @Daorf 5 лет назад +25

      Well the bees are attempted top prove that the honey was stolen from them. Wouldn't a court seize stolen property? If me and a buddy went to small claims court and I said he stole my car, and he said he paid for half, but I was able to prove we never agreed to that and he never paid me, the court would demand he relinquish the car to me.
      The car being edible should have no bearing on that.

    • @jamerv86
      @jamerv86 5 лет назад +15

      Search for pollen, collecting, conversion into honey. Expansion on the hive. Breeding of hive. Also searching for water and new hives as necessary if they need to swarm (relocate). So no honey isn’t the only thing. They also can consume other sucrose sources, if needing to supplement a hive, water with granulated sugar will help. Also depends on the type of bees, you’re just assuming one type, European honey bees. There’s differences, from the tiny sweat bee to big fat bumblebees, similarly named mason bees and carpenter bees, so on.

    • @gabe2349
      @gabe2349 5 лет назад +20

      Daniel Feldsien that’s true, but then Barry would have to file under the criminal code stating that the honey was stolen and it would have to be in criminal court. On top of that, taking bees honey wasn’t illegal at the time it was taken, so this whole case is setting a new precedent. You can’t get tried with a crime retroactively so there is no way the bees would be able to get the honey back.

      Not possible. That can't be a real sting because male bees don't have stingers. Also, only wasps have straight stingers, bees have barbed stingers (hence they die when they sting, because the stingers get stuck and the bee is forced to tear its insides apart). So either Adam is a transsexual wasp or the stinger was fake.
