Everyone asking about lenses as if that was the trick.
lenses are a huge part of the cinematography bc it creates the mood of the world that is being built, it is important. not everything but it is vital.
it is the story ! well done well directed !
The cinematography was spot on!! The subtle lighting, the flow and pacing of the scenes, the blocking , her acting, the production design felt immaculate. The director did a great job. Felt like a Netflix Production film!! Much love from India 🇮🇳
Wow thanks a lot for the kind words! Its really much appreciated!
Netflix wishes lmao
Great work!
Masterpiece! we are waiting for more of this. Investors are coming im 100% sure.
Thank you very much! Would be nice😏
I’m in awe. This film is spectacular. The cinematography and sound design fit the narrative perfectly. The pacing is on point, and the actor did a brilliant job as well. Very well done Lewis.
Jeez thanks mate! Especially sound design was a lot of work. So thanks for mentioning!
@@lvapicture thanks for sharing mate. Can’t wait to see more from you:)
Awesome work! Some true skill there! Hopefully I get my shorts up to this standard! 💪
Thank you for these kind words! And just because you said that you will achieve that! :)
Amazing work! This feel like a David Fincher film, the way he hijacks your eyes using the camera to match the velocity of movement. I'm really interested in shooting my next film in the same way. Do you have a professional email that you use? It'd be awesome to be able to ask some in depth questions.
Really cool that you have noticed that! And I didn’t have to point it out! And if you have some in depth questions just contact me under lvalbertipicture@gmail.com
The rhythm of the camera and editing is very Fincher-like... love it!
Thank you for that Fincher compliment haha!
I'm not sure what language this is, but everything was very much so felt. Incredible direction, acting, and pacing. Thank you for sharing. Love from Maryland, USA.
Hey thanks a lot Aaron. Makes me very happy when people appreciate it so much like you! And btw, the language spoken is German ;)
wow...sehr beeindruckend! sehr gute arbeit alle!
Beautifully shot. Cinematography and lighting was amazing
Thank you my man!
Excellent work on this! Every piece of the production is excellent. Did you do the color grading as well? Cinema level work.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate this kind of message!
This is amazing! I think I may get this camera over the red camera
Its all about how you use it :)
Man this was awesome, great work
Hey thanks mate! Appreciate it!
BEAUTIFUL
Phenomenal just overall amazing wonderful job!!
Thank you so much!
So ne gute Qualität! Richtig Gänsehaut bekommen 😍
Vielen Dank!! Freut mich!
This is very cinematic! I had to replay 2:25 over and over again. How was this done? This is so inspiring.
Hey thanks man! In what sense are you asking was it made? I’ mean its a shot of someone getting out of a car hehe
😂😂 I meant the movement of camera as the character gets out of the car and up, the camera moves up
@@taprow They track the motion. Using the 6k, they can crop it without losing quality. Fincher does that a lot.
So ein schöner Film. Wirklich.
Danke Nathan❤️
wow
Wow, This is an amazing piece. Congrats to the whole crew! you guys did great. Everything was perfect 👍 Quick question, What frame rate did you use for the the shots at 10:30? I'm wondering if you shot this on a different camera or you use the bmpcc for it as well? Thank you !
Thanks mate! Those shots where filmed at 60p if i remember correctly a few also 120p, but the real trick is to direct the talent to move slower ;)!
i like sascha D´s action, he was the best actor!
Hello there. Do you mind me asking a technical question? Was this mostly underexposed in camera or was it exposed "normally" and brought down in post? This was super inspiring. Such an amazing short, everything about it is just spot on, pure art! Congratulations!!!
Mega Stark, wow
Vielen Dank!
Its amazing! One thing, what is the lens?
Thanks, we used the rokinon ds cine lens set
U are not alone
Wonderful. Did yo guys use sliders? How did you get such smooth push in shots? And also what kind of tripod and tripod head did you use (also buttery smooth)?
Thanks! We used a self built dolly which worked perfectly in every situation, that in combination with a tripod. The tripod we used wasn't really the best, just a casual heavy duty video tripod. The buttery smooth movement you noticed comes from stabilisation techniques I used. That was the hardest thing to learn
@@lvapicture Interesting! I've been looking for different ways to do smooth push ins. I have a slider but it's quite hard to set up. I was thinking of also doing a make-shift dolly with a tripod on top of it. Just curious what stabilization techqniues you learned, was it in post (DaVinci) or in terms of shooting?
@@cheesedust-n3w good idea! All stabilisation was done in post mostly through tracking with Mocha Pro and sometimes with after effects. Pretty hard to figure out how to get that 120kg dolly feel through stabilisation
@@cheesedust-n3w Alot was done it post, but have to get it smooth enough on set to get those results. And as I said I used Mocha Pro and AE
awesome
Thanks!!
übergeiler Stuff !!!
Danke Bro!!
Beautiful
Thank you very much!
I live in Hanover, next time you try to do a project I can help in the directing and production.
Was this inspired by The Killing of the Sacred Deer or Gone Girl?
Wow 😯 mega gut
Vielen Dank!!
Wow! Wonderful. What lens?
Thank you so much! We used the Rokinon DS Cine Series on this project
@@lvapicture This is some of the best work I've seen shot with the Pocket 6K. And now knowing that you used Rokinon Cine lenses, your work is an example of what someone with true talent can accomplish when they know how to use their gear. Great job!
Wow thank you so much! Very kind words!
sehr nice!
Danke Jonas! Freut mich voll, dass es dir gefällt 🙏🏼
The opening sequence seems to be influenced by Memento, if I am right.

Stark
Thanks!
Beautifully shot! What lens did you use??
Thank you so much! We used the Rokinon DS Cine Line with a few canon still lenses.
Rokinon cine ds umc, or umc2 ?
9:25 how u did it? Is it hromokey?
No, its a double shot. Two clips stitched together
What type of lens do you use?
Nice❤
Thank you!! :)
