Viola Davis: BAFTAs | Making of the Dress

STELLA X VIOLA: This custom Stella gown celebrates Viola Davis and her BAFTA nomination for #TheWomanKing.
Inspired by our Summer 2023 runway collection, it was handcrafted in my London atelier from cellulose acetate - a luxurious, versatile fabric made of traceable wood pulp from sustainably managed forests. For added glamour, we embroidered it with lead-free crystals.
As a designer, there’s nothing more important for me than having the women I dress be comfortable and to reflect who they are through what they’re wearing. To be part of such a special occasion as the BAFTAs in some small way is something that makes us incredibly proud. x Stella
