Is our love for others categorized under love of complacency or love of benevolence? Like maybe loving a spouse/friend/homeless stranger/people you don't know
Men move throughout my life as just so much flotsam, they come and go, they’re there to serve my carnal needs but there was one in the past that I thought special. His name was Errol and he was a boxer, a good preliminary fighter but not top ranked, ruggedly handsome with a wild sense of humor. If he became inducted into the church of Ahriman and invoked his own Spirits he would become a great boxer like so many others but he freaked out and headed for the door. Oh well, that’s love for you. I don’t think much about him anymore, men are like grapes, there for the picking and life is so much fun. Blessed be.

Piper says that God has extremely strong love for "us" (meaning, to Piper, "the elect"), but, strangely, God has comparatively little "love of benevolence" compared to the enormous amount of need He deliberately creates. Human parents (mothers in particular) have a very strong *other-focus*, and there is a vanishingly small percentage of mothers who would deliberately bear more offspring than they can (or intend to) "love with benevolence", yet The Father and Jesus deliberately create hundreds of thousands of *"nonelect"* new humans *every day.* Human parents thus have a far, far higher ratio of "love of benevolence" (relative to the need they cause) than God does.

Love hates hate or it would not be self-consistent and we could not believe it to be true. Love also can not force us to love so distance and the free choice whether to draw lovingly near must also be in place. As it so clearly is. God does not willingly cause us to suffer from sinful choices to act against Truth/Love and to try to blame God for our suffering is like blaming God for creating gravity and putting you to death if you willfully ignore the clear and apparent fear of heights. It seems fair that He designed fear along with love and unfair if He did not give us the freedom to guide ourselves.

God loves everyone, he even loves the sinner. It is just that he hates the sin.
