    Perfect. We used it during a 3 day blackout. Electric instant water heater. It worked perfectly. We all could shower with hot water. Pretty cool. Southern California.

    Interesting proof of concept here. A heat pump dryer is a much less electrically stressful way to get dry clothes. They run on 120V and take about 1.5 kWh to dry a load. It would be a little to much for this particular battery here, but an EV with a basic inverter that would have 6ox the capacity of that battery would have no problems.

      @spazzman90 That might be worth investing in but it's a bit out of my financial range currently. I'll be stuck drying our clothes on 550 cord strung up around the house.

    I already had the original Delta with a couple of solar panels but I recently bought the Delta 2 plus the Alternator charger for $804 delivered. So in a power outage I can just recharge it off my car while idling. I also bought a standalone LiTime 12v, 230 Ah LiFePO4 battery which I can use connect to the Delta 2 for another 2944 wh. Doing that is much cheaper per wh than the official EcoFlow expansion battery.

    what about the dryer?

    • @not.a.prepper
      @not.a.prepper  Месяц назад

      @chumanji9 The Ecoflow Delta 2 doesn't have the kind of receptor that my dryer needs. There might be a higher end Ecoflow that does but I don't have one.

      Thx for replying. I thought you had a gas dryer. I found a lot of these powerstation couldn't withstand the startup current of my gas dryer motor...

      @chumanji9 That would be my guess as well. The Ecoflow Delta 2 is a reasonably priced, 1000-watt battery. It says it can handle a surge up to 2700 watts but I haven't gotten close to that yet. While it can handle simple electric devices, I wouldn't use it to run a jigsaw or drill press or a dryer.

    Ordered one on prime day July 17 haven’t received it yet. They estimate by August 1. I could understand electric heat uses up a lot of juice. Yes generator is appropriate and of course this eagle flow delta two doesn’t have the right outlet for a dryer. But I know I will be happy with it.

      I ordered mine from ecoflow’s website and used a promo code. What is your plan for yours? I received it a few weeks ago, charged it to from 30 to 60% and haven’t used it yet . It’ll help during power outages but all the hype for it went away once it arrived and I remembered it’s just a battery that I won’t use much other than emergency’s. I thought about doing tests but why waste cycles when I can give someone views on RUclips

      Thank you for the views! The great thing about the Ecoflow Delta 2 is that it has 3000 recharge cycles before it drops below that 80% level. My suggestion is to do some tests and make sure it wasn't damaged in shipping. Heck, if you test it 10 times to make sure it runs what you want it to, you still have 2990 cycles to spare.

    You can control the display time by using the app. I set mine to always stay on.

      @tonioyendis4464 Personally, I try to avoid to many phone apps, but I'll definitely think about the ecoflow then.

    Great video...though not practical for most but we know it can be done. What about using it run wifi ?

      @bmorecareful269 It's worth a try. My guess is that a wifi/router probably runs fairly consistently. If nothing else, I can post it as a short.

      @@not.a.prepper I'm guessing in a power outage most people will prefer Wi-Fi not clean socks...lol but it is definitely great to know washing is a option. I'm surprised it only depleted 16% battery that's incredible.
