I love seeing these videos of Jane & how she changed the research evidence of all those scientists who thought they knew better. They didn't, Jane proved them wrong especially in tool use.
I wanted to be like Jane Goodall when I was growing up.... sadly things didn't work out the way I had wanted...... people think she was only associated with the chimps, I watched anything that was on tv that she was involved in....she also studied these baboons and also did a show on wild dogs...... I especially remember seeing the Baboons of Gombe when I was a child....and I remember Mango's story...... I cried like a baby back then and right now i'm just at the part where Mango gets bitten, and I can already feel the tears coming again because I can remember what happens to him....
What does it mean when the baboons lip smack? Wow! The 1st time I've seen a baboon use a tool & I've been watching lot's of baboon videos, I find them as fascinating as chimps.
I remember seeing how the male adult baboons would harass the chimp mom's w/their young when there wasn't any adult male Chimps around. That really made me mad. 😂
The nursing mother who knocked the little baby to the ground looks like she's nursing 2 babies!! Isn't there 2 baby's nursing?? I swear I'm not just seeing double
Oh please thats like saying Oh you were in a car accident how irresponsible to have your kid in the car to you should never drive with a kid in your car.
scared kid loolyou really think the director and producers didnt tell the kidto grab her leg to add drama to the scene? the kids spent his life around baboons he isnt scared at all use your head
2:20 Wow! Her kid is terrified! Poor little guy! He literally is clinging to her leg in pure panic & she didn't even respond to soothe him. That'll mess a kid up. Can't even trust mom to protect & guide him through a moment of sheer terror! That's where I pause & ask myself, which ones are the animals?

Originally telecast on ABC, on February 1, 1974.
This is so damn captivating
The baby chimps are bigger woosies than baby baboons. Who would have ever thunk it? Lol
you don’t need pants for the victory dance- because Baboon is better than Weasel. 😄
I love baboons. They have so much more personality than long tail macaques or pigtail macaques and especially rhesus macaques.
Great quality 👌👏

I think it means they want a hug or affection.

Vile creatures!!!
Aww poor little Mango, makes you want to help so bad. At least try and get some sort of antibiotics
Watching him lay on the beach while his mother was just “meh” hurt my heart.
LMAO baby baboon shield 13:03
Straight from a DiscoVision release! Outstanding. What was your player of choice?
Sylvania VP-7200. i bought one NOS a few years ago specifically for DiscoVision playback. you can see it on my channel page banner.
Fascinating
So Irresponsible to have brought her kid. And, she's more interested in looking at the baboon fight rather than comforting her scared kid.
Oh please thats like saying Oh you were in a car accident how irresponsible to have your kid in the car to you should never drive with a kid in your car.
It’s called her job

Boy jane is as hugely as sick fence
@18:24 little Pumpkin looking at his reflection in the lens of the camera is lip smacking to show he's not a threat
How alike we are to the primates of the beach troup. Many of our reactions mirror theirs when strangers attempt the local society walls. Thank you
Can the KID get a vote??

I guess she knew that her son wasn't in danger in that moment. Poor little boy though, those baboons scare the crap out of me too 😆
Because you can't always coddle your kid. They weren't in danger. And he's just fine two seconds later.
@@Seek1878 As the sad story of Flint and Flo shows :(
The dad must be a chump. Whenever I was scared as a little kid, it was my dad that I ran to for safety.
@@donsudia2674 He goes to his dad right after, ya crybaby.
Que lastima que no traduce. En español.
Let me guess. She see them use a stick. Now she wants credit for the discovery of the century
Wtf is that supposed to mean?
