Oh damn, I was only 10 at the time, but I still remember riding Star Tours at Disneyland. I knew there was trickery involved, but I always thought it was a roller coaster. Was amazed so many years later to find out that the Star Tours cabins weren't even moving; it's just hydraulics tilting the cabin. You're literally thrown into your seat during the jump to hyperspace and I remember trying to lift myself out of the seat and it felt like I was fighting the G force. It's like your brain doesn't register that you're being pointed upwards and reads it as acceleration because you have no sense of horizon other than what you see on the screen so it really messes with your reality. It's crazy to think that with this and VR you can have that experience in your own living room.
The way you worded your claim sounds kinda like jar jar bonks the robot gremlin who teaches him how to force his leet saber right? But Dr. Suess did it first tho remember
This thing looks deadly, I want one. I imagine my new office with one of those bungies for vr and this. I just cant imagine the money to pay for it lol :D
I love this channel man. Instantly click on your vids the second I see them up. I wouldn't have a clue what I'm doing in VR if it wasnt for this channel. From not knowing that you couldnt play half life alyx on the quest to having sidequest, and being able to play any game I want in two months. Love the information you share. Great great channel.
I really want VR Treadmills to be great because locomotion is a key immersion for VR to take off, (no pun intended) and none have yet managed to get a moving VR treadmill happening yet - without being prohibitively expensive, relying on "slip and slide" or just lifting your feet up in place. This YAW VR motion looks to have nailed the seating -driving, flying reasonably well. I will save up a bit and seriously look into getting this later in the year.
imagine they loaned it to him,but with over 20K subs they should give it to him. Imagine every week twenty thousand people see your product being enjoyed. Hmmmmm,I need to get my channel going, lol
thanks man!! nice to hear :) I enjoy making the videos so we will get there. hopefully one day it will take off its a very slow and steady pace which I am grateful still :)
Looks like I need to visit your crib if you’re having people try it out when they come over! It looks SO dope bro - I wanna do some racing in that thing.
The one thing I noticed (correct me if I’m wrong) is that because it pitches you forward and backward, it seems to raise and lower your POV and it looks like it can be hard to see over the steering wheel.
I have to amend my comment. It doesn't look like anyone is actually GETTING the Feel Three, and they are not responding to people. Just ordered the YAW!!
thats amazing!! i want one now. shame you live so far away from me or i would come past and try it. Can you try elite dangerour on it if you have it? that would be great!
Was thinking of getting one, but without proper option to mount a decent wheel and pedals, it´s of no use for me. Thanks for showing. Saved me a lot of money. 😎👍
Steve I’m in stitches. This looks mental 😂 Better wait until my son is a little older before I consider it. I can foresee this proper taking him out as he walks by💀
Really good idea but HMD is measuring position in 3D space and moving camera out of place giving an odd perspective, maybe with positional head tracking turned off it would look better in car games.
You should try attaching a sensor securely on top of the steering wheel and only use that one sensor. It would cancel out the motion from the devise itself and probably be a much more natural experience
Disregard my comment... Just realized this is a quest and not a cv1. Not sure how you could cancel out the motion other than building a box around the device
I want one only for racing SIMs, so I gotta ask; In racing games does it tilt back as you ACCELERATE? Does it tilt back most on launch, and drop off until you shift?(can u feel the shifts?) OR does it do weird things like; just tilt more the farther u push the gas (independent of acceleration), or tilt more the faster you get (also independent of accel?) I talked hard to tell in the video. I really could use the advice (I really am hesitant) but really want one
Imagine that for a prank. Get someone that's high temporararily passed out, then when they come to & still high all of a sudden find himself tied to a chair in a gory silent hill setting of course pranked & hands taped to the armchair of the yawVR.
When it was tilting back due to accel, there was no compensation for the position of your head. That's why at some point we could barely see anything over the steering wheel. it looks like it should push it's motion information to the VR headset to compensate for those things.
Hi @SteveKnows. Can you comment on how the motion cancelling works with Oculus Quest (and Link)? How do you stop the Quest headset thinking you're moving (i.e. standing up) when the Yaw VR pitches? Did you have to configure SimTools?
Hi how is motion compensation handled in games? Does it actually convince you you are in a car? Also did you try flight Sims or elite dangerous? How easy is it to dismount a wheel mount and add in a hotas setup (I assume there are brackets for that)? Thanks
Hey, hen are we seeing a video on the Yaw2 just saw it yesterday ,looks much better and cheaper? This is something I would love, especially msfs2020 and dcs
You’ve gotta play Star Wars Squadrons with this when it releases!😃
OH hell yeah.....to bad I am not Ricky Schroeder
Freakin Genius 🤓👍🏽, time to save and budget. 😁
oooooh. shit yeah.
How? Which way is up and down in space? All your movements are locked to gravity? In space how do you imitate moves?
Make some gameplay please

This plus no man’s sky in VR or star wars squadrons might be the ULTIMATE gaming experience for me (big star wars fan I am)
Bluebloodfr That vr mission in Star Wars Battlefront was good for the short experience it was. Squadrons should be fun.
The way you worded your claim sounds kinda like jar jar bonks the robot gremlin who teaches him how to force his leet saber right? But Dr. Suess did it first tho remember
Ras_KrysTafari he tried to sound like Yoda
This thing looks deadly, I want one. I imagine my new office with one of those bungies for vr and this. I just cant imagine the money to pay for it lol :D
Ahh man I’m already saving up for a gaming pc to hook up to my quest, now I’ve gotta get me one of these too. 😅
Great great channel.
thanks for the love their man! made me smile
i love how far the peripheral support for VR is coming along
I really want VR Treadmills to be great because locomotion is a key immersion for VR to take off, (no pun intended) and none have yet managed to get a moving VR treadmill happening yet - without being prohibitively expensive, relying on "slip and slide" or just lifting your feet up in place.

You looked positivity green after second roller coaster. Fun stuff! Thanks, Steve.
I love how frequently you upload, I’m loving the news
i try get a video out at least every few days got to keep it going :P
Same
STEVE, MY QUEST IS COMING TOMORROOOOOOOOOW. I almost died from excitement. Can't wait🙃
I definitely know that your significant other is NOT happy with this purchase 😅😂🤣
hahaha no comment
Its basically a VR sex swing to be fair.
imagine they loaned it to him,but with over 20K subs they should give it to him. Imagine every week twenty thousand people see your product being enjoyed. Hmmmmm,I need to get my channel going, lol
Stephan Jeffery there’re much larger VR channels that would make more sense
@@ericborn382 but would they of had as much fun as I did :)!?
When I saw the device and thought of Star Wars squadrons so much dopamine entered my body that I almost passed out. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂COULD YOU IMAGINE?!
that would be amazing!
The future of VR looks brighter everyday! 😍
Bought the Pro Edition of this specifically for Squadrons haha.
Great review man! This makes me want to absolutely purchase the YAW. Talk about taking it to the next level!! I'm on it!
It’s actually very cheap for a vr motion sim
DUDE YOU GOT IT! So dope!
I’d dig this I think Alex. All the racing and coasters. Really anything that’s in a cockpit type vehicle.
yeah dude! things a beast! i tried a flight sim but i crashed immediately ... dont le me fly a plane
That looks like the best thing ever for a lot of VR games. Wish I had the room for one 😥
This is a lot better than Linus Tech's crappy review.
Amazing! I wish I could buy this thing. Thank for your video ❤️
Nobody:
Steve: Laughs as he hits people with his car
Let’s cut him a break :’)
Hahaha not in real life it felt so odd man 😂
@@SteveKnows IK, it must have been weird feeling the car bounce. Cool video though!
Yeh the immersion of that would be so?.............
NPC LIVES MATTER
THANK YOU!
I’m having the time of my life with GTA 5 on VR. I’ve always wanted this 😭
Thanks for all the quick updates! I go here first for my VR news! Love the channel! Keep up the great work!!!
YO!! THAT IS SICK!! I want one.
Threw some shade at Linus for his set time. I respect that.
You need this and VR with XPLANE11 and DCSWORLD! Steve, what is that sniper tool by the plant in the background? A sniper blogun?
I couldn't help but lol when you started taking those deep breaths on the coaster.
Haha i was a mess it was flinging me about hard :)
“The wok” I love it 😂
Emil👀
Sage 👀
Idk why ur not as popular as a lot of other VR enthusiasts like VROasis, because u totally deserve it.
Steve will continue to grow. 20 50 or 100k additional subs don’t happen over night.
@@EmmsReality I know. its been at a very slow and steady pace for a long time, but seems to be picking up momentum so that's cool
thanks man!! nice to hear :) I enjoy making the videos so we will get there. hopefully one day it will take off its a very slow and steady pace which I am grateful still :)
SteveKnows your content and personality are really great man. 👍🏼 👍🏼
Looks like I need to visit your crib if you’re having people try it out when they come over! It looks SO dope bro - I wanna do some racing in that thing.
😂😂😂😂 looks like fun... maybe I would have liked one - thirty years or more ago...
Don't limit yourself 💪
Rock band peripherals! Love it.
Surely having a fan attached to the front of it would be super immersive to
Can you tell us all the costs including delivery to the UK vat export duty ect thanks
I'm getting one it's being shipped right as I watch this.
How long is delivering time
And where's it being shiped from and to
This proper made me chuckle. Nearly woke my boy up haha
i tried a rollercoaster in vr once.
i learned my lesson.
GREAT Demo Video Steve looks like fun ty
That's craaazy you could make your own roller coaster sim like they have in the acrade with the fans on your face
Nice one dude! was just thinking there aren't enough full on review+setup+gameplay vids of this.
I want to know more about the feeling you had during the roller coaster ride.
When putting screws into metal I think you'll find actual grease works better than elbow grease.
I love how you just laugh like a psychopath while driving into innocent people xD
hahaha didnt think of that, it was just so surreal man
I would have done the same. Made me laugh lol.
No one is innocent in Los Santos...
Note to self: Don't let footage of me playing this or Blade & Sorcery get out if I ever want to run for office.
Awesome... Totally got his VR legs chopped off by this hardware!
Ooof!!!! I don't want to spend that kinda doe on a chair, but I do want the chair lol.
The one thing I noticed (correct me if I’m wrong) is that because it pitches you forward and backward, it seems to raise and lower your POV and it looks like it can be hard to see over the steering wheel.
Was the motion chair reproducing the feeling of real life driving or roller coaster?
"YAW"
Love driving games, this looks amazing and flying, damn more money to spend?
Bolt it to the ceiling and play squadrons!! Come on Steve, you know you want to! 🤘🏽
Whilst drunk..
It’s like the gun on the millennium falcon
Very entertaining video nearly Paul trigger on one. I recommend you set up virtual desktop with a good Rueter the way with that cable
Now we just need this somehow incorporated into a vr treadmill! Or a treadmill type thing that also have motion
Oh mannn I just had an idea about how one can mix the too. Maybe one day if I have money I'll try and make it🤑 It even includes a third variable
I felt so bad when u we’re getting chucked around 😂
For 2X as much you can get the Feel Three, you should check it out.
I have to amend my comment. It doesn't look like anyone is actually GETTING the Feel Three, and they are not responding to people. Just ordered the YAW!!
Perfect for DCS world!!
Imagine VR bobsledding or feeling the turns in the likes of Wipeout... Now I don't know if I want the KatWalk or this... Dammit.
thats amazing!! i want one now. shame you live so far away from me or i would come past and try it. Can you try elite dangerour on it if you have it? that would be great!
Damn, now I want to buy one YawVR! Getting it to Mexico will be fun...
I’d take this over a treadmill ANY day!
Dewd, I am super jealous
4:29 -> of course, FULL POWER 🤣🤣 and what happened ? 12:18 🤣🤣
a platform to raise the YawVR unit higher off the floor to give full range of motion with out the leg support hitting the floor would be cool.
Was thinking of getting one, but without proper option to mount a decent wheel and pedals, it´s of no use for me. Thanks for showing. Saved me a lot of money. 😎👍
Bodies bouncing off the bonnet? That's just diabolical bro.
Steve I’m in stitches. This looks mental 😂 Better wait until my son is a little older before I consider it. I can foresee this proper taking him out as he walks by💀
Good that's what I want :) haha it's a gadget and a half isn't it
Really good idea but HMD is measuring position in 3D space and moving camera out of place giving an odd perspective, maybe with positional head tracking turned off it would look better in car games.
Get this to 1k, and working with most games, I'll buy
You should try attaching a sensor securely on top of the steering wheel and only use that one sensor. It would cancel out the motion from the devise itself and probably be a much more natural experience

Does this help with or add to motion sickness in VR? I feel as if it would help.
Haha this thing looks ridiculous, but the GTA V driving looks sick!
Does this work for Quest without link?
The rollercoaster simulator would be a horrible torture device
Imagine that for a prank. Get someone that's high temporararily passed out, then when they come to & still high all of a sudden find himself tied to a chair in a gory silent hill setting of course pranked & hands taped to the armchair of the yawVR.
bro i was literally just researching this i was about to make a video on it hahaha is it worth a review?
How come you didnt use the pedals with the car game, is it not possible?
When it was tilting back due to accel, there was no compensation for the position of your head. That's why at some point we could barely see anything over the steering wheel. it looks like it should push it's motion information to the VR headset to compensate for those things.
I know one thing, I wish I was coming round to test it out. Lol
FREAKING EPIC.
Did it help with vr motion sickness? I think it’s It’s the lack of physical movement that makes many of us sick while ‘moving’ in vr.
Could be...
yo imagine using this with the quest
Excellent video dude!
hello good sir:) Thanks for stopping by!
Do any Games native to the Quest work with this? Or does it require PC VR?
Did you use Motion Compensation software? And if so, did you at all feel sick?
Great video! Aww if this works with squadrons I’m getting this! Haha!
Hi @SteveKnows. Can you comment on how the motion cancelling works with Oculus Quest (and Link)? How do you stop the Quest headset thinking you're moving (i.e. standing up) when the Yaw VR pitches? Did you have to configure SimTools?
This looks awesome, but it didn't do anything when you crashed your car into a wall.
So awesome dude
Making me sick WATCHING him play! Sick bro!
I don't like how much enjoyment you got from feeling running people over.
thinking too much into it, not something id ever want or dream of doing in real life :) was just a weird feeling
Looks fun 😁👍🏽
This would be great with VTOL VR
Steve you look like you need sleep brother! Thanks for what you do
Amazing stuff bro ;p but how do you manage to play GTA in Oculus VR and on a PS? Or was it on a PC?
yeah dude was on PC:) GTA V had a VR Mod. I used oculus link
I didn’t see you using acceleration or brake peddles during the project cars gameplay and I mistaken or how were you accelerating ?
This is awesome dude!!! Love it!!
Playing echo Arena with something like this in vr would be amazing
That would be nearly impossible in this. Lol.
Is there a seatbelt for this thing? Seems like you'd fall out of it easily if the roll goes too fast.
Thank you.
Hi Steve, i gotta know if this really is worth 3100.00 Canadian?
Great vid. Please try it on some flight sims!
