Hearing a little bit about the 3rd winners story brought a tear to me and my wifes eyes and couldnt be prouder that they won besides them getting the first choice.
I just gotta say, I watch all your content because I love the channel, but as a quad guy myself I am especially loving this Cheap Quad series. I started on a 96 250 Trailboss and while I have moved onto better machines It's great seeing the old Polaris's represented.

A little info on the Polaris quads. The issue with the rear shock on Mike's quad is that the older ones had shorter rear shocks. In 1998 they went to a longer rear shock. They also went to the front shaft drive that year. The fastest way to tell if it's the longer shock is that they have the second lower rate spring on the top. The part Sous needed is called a armature plate. It goes between the seal and the hillard hub. Make sure the hubs are properly filled with either the Polaris hub oil or ATF. With this shootout the scramblers are going to dominate in any race where speed is key. The grizzly should do great in a mud bog, but it's pre locking front diff. Sous has true 4wd. And I think Matt's does too. I'm looking forward to the competition!

Hey fellas I'm so glad to hear and see Leo and seuus are behaving much better towards each other on camera lately. Hopefully off camera as well. Thanks guys for making videos. I wanna be in one! I'm recently blind after a eye surgeon, worked on me, resulting in the loss of one entire eye. It has been life changing and difficult to say the least. we have a can am rs turbo 22 that enjoy here in Idaho. Come out here and go for a rip with us!!!

You guys should do a junkyard challenge where you go to mickies and get a bunch of random parts from machines to piece together a sxs/go kart. Could do 3 teams with 2 on a team, $1000 budget, unlimited welder usage and see what you guys can come up with .
I think a $1000 budget is a little slim
@Kyle Pike could do $1000 junk yard budget and $1000 raw materials budget, like steel, so you could build some sort of chassis. Or maybe 2k total? I mean you should be able to get an old 80's snowmobile or quad engine for $500-700 at a junkyard

Leo’s machines issue is in the fuel shut off, the ball in there isn’t lined up with the full open fuel flow, turn it partially and try it again.
On the petcock?
@@SXSBlog yes, the red fuel shut of valve. There is a ball that spins with the handle and has a thru hole in it that lines up with the fuel lines to give it full fuel on. Sometimes that ball doesn’t spin completely and the hole in that ball is only partially lined up causing it to run out of gas if your asking for to much thru your throttle input. It will run fine at idle or even a small amount of throttle but run out when you hit the throttle more.

Really enjoying these challenges! It’s so entertaining when the team competes against each other. It would be cool to see the team do a local race on cheap race quads or even sxs’s.
When Nick L mentioned the old Crusty-Demons of dirt videos, my childhood was brought back. I remember getting a VHS video called SETH -The Hard Way from a local motorcycle show when i was a kid and watched the F out of it. Not only was the footage good, I got introduced into so many good hard rock bands and music back then. For a little nostalgia, look up the song "Shock" By Fear Factory.. and tell me you can't picture that opening scene of Seth Enslow nosediving the pre-runner off the jump.

i have 2 of those fake mule. 1991 kawasaki 360 4x4. mine runs awesome after a new timing chain. for $75 cad. I will give it away the next time the timing chain goes out !!! I have new throttle and brake cables for it !!! and a used wire harness next !!! then after that it will be free to the next person !!! I got $1500 total in it !!!
Should do a tire drag contest. Find whatever big ass truck or equipment tire is right, then drag it down a track, se which is fastest.
Those old scramblers are awesome! I had an 05 500. solid back axle with little smaller wheels, handles really well. little more power and those would be really tough to beat with that solid axle as far as 4x4 quads go. The renegades should of had solid axle with 22" rears and 23" fronts. They should of separated the front and rear brakes on the old scramblers.
