Have definitely changed what items I buy. Tend to find items that can be used multiple ways and multiple meals. Also, as we've retired we tend to eat only one regular meal a day which is noonish. We have always been light breakfast eaters. All this saves money and not going to store as often! Every 10 days rather than weekly.

I'm trying to be very mindful while shopping to prevent impulse buys. We've been strictly using cash (that alone helps SO MUCH!), and buying ingredients and less convenience food items. Oh, and absolutely menu plan. I've discovered I can shop once every other week, and that works for us right now. My husband keeps a little of the grocery budget cash in his wallet so he can stop after work if needed for an item or two we need in between my shopping days.

Great video. I order from Azure and Walmart---I NEVER enter a store except for the few times I go to Grocery Outlet if I run out of milk (I buy Organic Valley). My grocery budget has changed little I think because I do not go into the physical store. I may spend a bit more for some items from Azure but in the long run, I save. I stopped going to Costco a few years ago.

Hi Aimee! You should try the tomato sauce at Trader Joe's. It tastes better than the sauce from Costco and I'm pretty sure it's about the same price per can (or close to it). I make a special trip to TJ's to get the tomato sauce. Thanks for your videos!
