    Everything goes through the FPS.
    Money incoming, money outgoing, mortgage payment, mortgage overpayments, mortgage debt level, food, fuel, MPG performance, bills, water, gas and electricity usage - everything is monitored on a weekly basis.
    It looks over the top, but it feels great to be in control.

    We do sit down dinners just us sometimes at home. Always family ones but sometimes we turn music on, cook, and make the table, set out the good dishes and have a good time. Kids enjoy watching and seeing us enjoy each other's time and make what we have at home special for each other. That is our budget date night and quarter pool tables. Other times we do the same for family night.

    My wife and I personally setup a budget and we’ll update our expense sheet on a weekly basis to make sure we’re on pace to hit our monthly goal. If we see that we spent too much on our entertainment and only have a certain amount left to spend, we make sure to scale back on that in the current week. Small goals help reach long term goals. Also, we make sure to over exaggerate what we could possibly spend by adding more money what we can spend in certain categories like gas, so when we under spend in that category, that’s more for savings or investments.

    I’ve always been a good saver and although I’m young, I’ve always been strict about budgeting, being organised and financially savvy. I worked the past two years after school and got into the habit of saving and setting aside a small amount for entertainment. I never had the urge to spend lots cause I was always shattered with exhaustion after work and was so busy, I didn’t have time to spend. My problem is now that I’m college, I’m not working anymore (only occasionally once a week) and I’ve made all the these friends and I’m spending so much more money that I’ve ever spent in my life. Just living the normal party, fun, carefree, college life. I’m still saving (but not as much as I planned) & I’m struggling with all this money I’m spending. It’s like I’m constantly battling my conscience cause I feel guilty but I am enjoying myself and I love it. I’m just so conflicted 😩🤷‍♀️

      It can be hard, but there are a lot of fun activites to do that are free -- certain museums, farmers market, a lot of college sporting events are free for students, rock climbing at the campus rec, free movie nights on campus, intramurals, etc. You just have to find a circle of friends who share the same financial goals as you, rather than a circle of friends who are bad with money and spend too much of it lol. Good luck!

    If you have a really bad spending habits It might be best to make a income statement and a balance sheet. Once every other week or once a week. Most people try to ignore their bad spending habits, which makes it easier to spend badly.

    How is the best way to budget if your income varies each month (self employed) is it better to do a projected budget based off estimates, or better to get a month ahead and use the previous months income?

Not knowing my Mortgage bank hasn’t been reporting my payments to the Credit bureau…because l filed for Bankruptcy back in 2009? Does anyone know the most inexpensive way to start the process for the bank to show l pay my mortgage?🙏🏼

      @@Cloud9crown I got ya, you can basically do the same thing with Quicken financial software for your desktop or laptop. If you set up your bills youycan do budgeting on there with numbers instead of percentages. It's a lot more labor intensive though

    • @PositivelyBrainwashed
      @PositivelyBrainwashed 4 года назад

      @@Cloud9crown What's wrong with exact numbers. Just choose a budget for each category that is high enough that you are confident you can go under. Then you end up with a lot of extra money at the end of the month. And if there's a category you slightly go over, it's no problem because you can just take it from the other categories.

      @Cloud9crown 4 года назад

      Sir We Are About to Die Because the citizens allowed themselves to be fooled into supporting the temporary government economy, not the real economy, which we haven’t had for a long time. We’ve allowed it to be run by politicians who justify unreasonable budgeting which they don’t pay the price of being wrong for with buzzwords like “fairness” and “safety”. We’ve forgotton that it’s not the delivery of material provisions but instead the adoption of middle-class norms that lead to the prosperity of the individual and, in consequence, the society, and since the mid-20th century we’ve done everything to destroy that and even encouraged making a mockery of it.

      The guardrail can be anything .... Example a budget can be done with a fancy application or with a spreadsheet. The issue is not the way we track the expenses but the control we have over those same expenses. Come and watch my channel also to learn more about money, management, budgeting and others.
