That kid didn’t want the ball enough he was on his phone. I would have been willing to go to the hospital for that ball

No one can guaranteed the correlation of: “if” the kid, ditched his cell phone, & therefore, he would’ve definitely got the ball. The older guy probably was fortunate, he most likely have his phone in his pocket at thst time. Nobody else around, dropped their phones, to go for the ball.

The 54 HR ball will be valued more than the 50/50 ball. The 54th home run tied Babe Ruth’s record as the first-year player on a new team.

Shohei can afford his own Island, I think if he REALLY wanted the ball I'm sure he'll pay a few mill or 10 for it.

Very quick to auction off an item that may be stolen property. The auctioneers will get their money and the new owner may have to give up the item they paid for because it may be stolen.
Why not wait for the courts to decide? Strangely quick action for the auctioneers.

Now what happens if theres millions worth of bids on the ball, then the judge decides to give it to the kid nd the kid doesnt wanna sell it? Besides probably a literal murder..
