fun fact: dnd shorts filmed this liveplay on less than 3 hours sleep while waiting to hear news from his family on if his newborn baby nephews survived emergency surgery for CDH (they each had 50/50 odds to survive). He said he couldn't have done it without VLDL being so amazing.. And now they sharing his fundraiser too. These people aren't just entertainers, they are genuinely truly kind and support each other behind the scenes while being so professional on camera.

I wouldn't call a table with Ben a professional one. No disrespect to Ben, he is absolutely my favourite VLDL actor. And I hope his approach to D&D never changes.
I first saw VLDL on their dnd channel with the guys first campaign and what really drew me in was how authentic they felt. I’d tried to watch a couple of other campaigns but they all felt so robotic and fake, but these guys man… Love these guys 🫶
Maybe Rob is just trying to give B.O.B. opportunities to finally use Uncanny Dodge, Sneak Attack, his Reliable Talent, his stealth cloak, his ability to fly, his ability to scout as a tiny bat or to send Wotsit as a scout No, but seriously: Rob often uses a D4 to determine who is being attacked first (Ben = 1, Adam = 2, Alan = 3, Rowan 4). And because Rob is notoriously bad at rolling dice himself, he very often gets a one.
This is like when your two friend groups wind up at the same party, and immediately hit it off lol. I cannot tell you how happy this made me! And Rob getting to be a player?! Every forever-DM’s dream 😝

And then behind him a series of portals opens and out pour the people from Deerstalker Pictures, XP to Level 3, Critical Role, High Rollers DnD, the cast of Baldur's gate along with their characters, Poop McDinglefart, Gandalf & Ian McKellen etc etc.

Now, I know Rob might probably not see this, but hear me out. A super summer camp. Renting a this tavern. A bunch of great Content creators (Channels like Robs,. Dnd shorts, xptolevel3, one shot Questers, you Name it) and each day a fun short oneshot,. Each day DMed by one of them as the others play.
A very nice crossover mates, you should do this more. The story is exciting, I'm very much looking forward for the next episode. You guys are the best ❤

I loved this episode! The characters seem interesting with the voices and mannerisms you've all given to them and it's started In medias res, with action and intrigue right out the gate :)
I am SOOOO hyped for this!!! I've been a fan of @DnDShorts ever since I discovered Dungeons & Dragons. I've watched most of his videos and I've also bought the Ryoko's Guide. Waiting for it in Physical Edition! But seeing it played by this group is such a huge opportunity to see it in LIVE action from one of it's Creators himself!!! Gaahhhhh, I feel like such a fanboy XD hahahaha And playing it with such a chaotic group must've been SUCH a thrill!
I'm very curious what Will thought of the VLDL DM screen. It's a very awesome DM wall that I'm sure Rob has customized to his liking. A super summer camp. Renting a this tavern. A bunch of great Content creators (Channels like Robs,. Dnd shorts, xptolevel3, one shot Questers, you Name it) and each day a fun short oneshot,. Each day DMed by one of them as the others play.
Getting all those amazing people to NZ would be expeeeeeensive!

I wasn't sure what I was going to think seeing, not Rob, but a new DM run a new game with characters I don't know, but that was awesome!!! Can't wait to see more.

This is awesome so far! The energy around the table is great and it was fun seeing Rob as a player be just as disruptive as the other viva guys&gals 😁 Also looking forward to Rob's dice curse he apparently has as a player, and Ben's gleeful reaction to it, that I'm sure is to come 😂
Watching these guys play is like comfort food for my every week. They never fail to put a smile on my face.
I loved this episode! The characters seem interesting with the voices and mannerisms you've all given to them and it's started In medias res, with action and intrigue right out the gate :)

I am SOOOO hyped for this!!! I've been a fan of @DnDShorts ever since I discovered Dungeons & Dragons. I've watched most of his videos and I've also bought the Ryoko's Guide. Waiting for it in Physical Edition!
But seeing it played by this group is such a huge opportunity to see it in LIVE action from one of it's Creators himself!!!

I'm very curious what Will thought of the VLDL DM screen. It's a very awesome DM wall that I'm sure Rob has customized to his liking. Being a new subset of books, I'm curious if any of the info would pertain that is usually up there?
