    I watched this live on a 13 inch 📺 in my room with a terrible fever from having chicken pox! Lemon lime Kool-aid and orange sherbet! Good times. Lol

      no where... a lot more legit than Bronny...but still...ultimately it was a 'gift" fight ....taking care of joe frazier via marvis. marvis frazier was paid 800,000 for this fight

    Holmes was a smart guy. Worth 20 million which is more than double that he made in the ring. Lives a very comfortable life in Pennsylvania🥊

      Larry Holmes was always surrounded by good people for the most part, never getting in trouble or drugs or anything like that. At the end of the Norton fight, his team brought him straight to the trainers room on a table to stretch him out. He had just won the world championship and his people you could tell were really looking out for him.

    I respect Joe Frazier, but his son didn’t have any business being in that ring with Larry Holmes. Larry had more title defenses than Marvis had fights.

    Loved Joe as a fighter but this thing of staring down Marvis' opponent like he was fighting him was lame. Almost got Marvis killed against Tyson

      Larry Holmes is generally considered one of the greatest heavyweights ever, and this was his most impressive KO. So in that sense, it’s a classic I guess.

      @@djeanpierre old, ring rusty Holmes at his absolute WORST lasted 4 rounds with Mike at his absolute best, Holmes took little damage in first 3 rounds and easily frustrated Mike and tied him up on inside, That was Holmes at 40% so a prime Holmes at 100% i believe had enough to beat Tyson who would've experienced skill, speed, toughness and will-to-win that he had never seen before in a pro ring.

    Larry was always well measured. Sized Marvis up for the right, and that was it. Total mismatch. Holmes right hand always underestimated.

    MARVIS WAS A LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT NOT A HEAVYWEIGHT... HE WAS TOO SMALL FOR HEAVYWEIGHT. AND THEN HIS SKILLS WASNT GOOD EOUGH. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD IF HE HAD BEEN LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT AND JUST FIGHTING LOW CLASS FIGHTERS FOR A WHILE.

      This bout should not have even happened. Marvis wasn’t even near the championship level. Marvis needed a lot more experience before he fought anyone in the top 5.
      This and the Tyson fight were because of his father, and Joe led Marvis to slaughter.

      The fight was stopped so he didn't suffer the exact same punishment he suffered against Mike Tyson when the fight was stopped too late. Tyson nearly killed him. What good is having a referee if they sit back and allow you to be killed?

    What a foolish thing to put someone who is 10-0 against a champion who is 44-0.
    Kind of reminds me of when they put Tyrell Biggs, who was only 15-0, against Mike Tyson who was 31-0 at the time but, at least, Biggs was an Olympic Gold medalist.
    Marvis Frazier had no such accolades nor was he ever a real contender to warrant ever getting this shot.
