Guys, what an epic adventure. I have camped at that campground which is at a high elevation. Good photography showing us the wonderful mountain scenery and beauty of the eastern sierras. Great video.
Such a cool video and epic adventure! Thank you for capturing all this beauty and sharing. If I may ask, how might someone deal with leg-cramps on a long hike like this? Thank you
Thanks for the kind words! It really is an amazing place. One or my favorites! The best advice I would have for cramps would be to stay hydrated and get those electrolyte drink mix packets. Electrolytes are great at helping you stay hydrated and are really good for the muscles. LMNT is a bit pricey, but they’re great because they have no sugar in theirs. You can usually find Liquid IV for a great deal at Costco too, if you don’t mind the added sugar (I think you can still order it online without a membership). Also, do some stretches before starting your hike and take plenty of short breaks along the way to do some more quick stretches and eat a snack. That should help! Thanks for watching and happy hiking! 🤙🏼
My sister and I were there just a few weeks ago to check out the campgrounds and part of the trail. There was snow on the ground then but I’d like to try making it to lake 1-2 on the North Fork one day ❤ great video and showed me a lot about the South Fork! Loved this!😊
The South Fork is amazing, but the North Fork is one of my favorite places I have ever been to, especially 2nd Lake! Highly recommend! I have a video on that trail too with an epic campsite at 2nd Lake. Thanks for the kind words and for watching! 🙂
interesting you flew into las vegas, i suppose that would make the most sense as it's closest! i'm from california so i always just make the super long drive haha. i used to have the durston but i could never pitch it up and it would fall on me lol.. nice shots!
Lol Yeah, it seemed like it was either Vegas or LA. I was surprised to find out Vegas and LA were very similar in distance from Big Pine. I think we did it right though. The whole trip was a great time! As far as the Durston goes, I’m surprised to hear that honestly. The pitch can be strange sometimes if on uneven ground, but it has always held up so solid for me, even in moderate to high winds. I say you should give it another shot haha 😉 No but for real, to each their own. It’s not going to be ideal for everyone and that’s totally cool. Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching the video! 🙂🤙🏼
Not much of a trail! ☹️ Beautiful scenery though! I lived most of my life in So Cal but never went to Big Pine! Weird! lol Altitude sickness I’m thinking. ☹️
Big Pine/Lone Pine is easily one of my favorite areas! Highly suggest a hike up to Big Pine Lakes on the north fork of this trail! There was actually an easy trail to follow all the way up to Brainerd Lake. After that, there is a little more route finding though. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏼
Did anybody count how many dabs Cody did? 😂
Very well-done Vlog! Awesome trip.
