I would also suggest expanding your search to include Japanese systems. You're probably gonna mod the thing anyway, and systems from Japan are cheaper on average so the region locking is a non-issue
Good call the only reason I didn’t include them in this video is because i would prefer to talk about the pros and cons of imported systems in more detail in a separate video appreciate the feedback
@jtchoi2003 If you unhack the system while the region is changed, you can brick the system. You have to restore to the original and before removing the hack. Yes, ik is not really a big deal, but you could one day unhack the system and have forgotten that you change the region, and then you will brick the system. Also it is necessary to change the region, who wants a console that is locked to one language that no one understands?.
@@checob224 Why would you want to unhack it ? Unhacked system is useless and will just collect dust. With hacked system you have full 3ds experience and you can also play online games too.
3ds prices are insane lately dude. I was only able to afford to get one in "okay" condition because I live in a third world country and prices here are insane. Sure, I could order one from Japan, but customs here charge insane prices and it's probably going to add up to an even more expensive amount.

I got a pearl white dual IPS 3dsll mint condition for 250 last week. Flashed CFW, changed its region and changed the gamma/temperature of the screen vis Rosalina. Makes 3ds games look better than I've ever seen.
When I bought my New 3DS it came with a camera with the infamous purple tint issue. An easy fix if I went to a repair shop, but I hardly use the camera anyway and it only happens in 3D mode. It still works apart from that.
I remember I had a similar issue when I brought a replacement camera part of AliExpress only that the front selfie camera wouldn’t work at all I ended up getting a refund and the seller sent out another only for it to have the same issue…
I found prices like old 3DS for 80 dollars new models for 90 dollars and special editions for 100. I live in the Philippines and these are the prices in carousel, they all have high ratings.
youre acting like ebay wont just refund you. ebay is 100 percent buyer sided. you could buy a legit console and refund it for no good reason. if you got scammed you actually dont lose anything because ebay has you. EVEN on listing with NO returns, actually ebay money back guarantee comes in.
indeed lucky for me in the UK we have a chain of game stores called CEX (yes im serious) which sell new and old games and sytems all with 2 year warranties while they may be more costly it is an option to consider however i do understand that this does not apply around the world for example ive heard in the US gamestop can be quite hit and miss with the quality of their goods appreciate you watching and the feedback!
Must be a very first world problem, gave my wife my 20th anniversary pokemon edition new 3ds. Got myself a hyrule one. I like it, however the standard sized new 3ds is much better in retrospect. Ordered myself a black new 3ds with the boo glow in the dark faceplates. Its the best version in my opinion. Happy hunting everyone! Japanese resellers are catching on to the price gouging now, finding a mint console is over $250 now. Got mine with little to no cosmetic damage for $245.
@@beachbaIIs just glad i now have two standard ones. They're the hardest to get accessories for. Plus, it will catch on im sure they're the best model (bias, but pixel density, more clear visuals, more portable, list can go on). Great video though man! I appreciate the response
Yep. You gotta be. I'm just glad the dsi I bought second hand from someone is working really good. Tho the bottom screen got shadows in the corners but it isn't that bad at all. And it is not that expensive to replace the screen in my country
man i really could of used this last year, when i bought a new 3ds xl and the top screen arrived broken, the seller at least did give me a partial refund, and i was able to repair the top screen myself.
@@beachbaIIs i paid $153, and the seller refunded $50, and the replacement screen was $40. honestly i blame the shipping company for damaging it since it was stuck in postage hell for a bit.
you can claim against the shipping company for damage however it may be hard to get the money unless you push them though ive managed to do it multiple times with the royal mail and have gotten checks in the mail for the amount i paid for the item plus its way too late now
You reminded me why i should focus on fixing mine so i can never pay all that. Mine is still playable but the circle pad doesn’t have the running and the red skin is ripped off abit and the top screen lens is scratched abit. I can replace all of that tho.
If you are new to buying tech online, STOP! Consider buying things in person, you can often get better goods and lower prices. And, you might be able to buy other products from the seller. Honest people prefer face to face transactions.

The problem Is that you can't unhack the system after the change is done. So I wouldn't recommend getting a japanese system at the moment.
@@checob224 What are you talking about? You can unhack them. Region swapping isn't absolutely necessary, and you can reverse that anyways.

I'm happy the Japanese people sell them for a low low dollar amount of 100-120 a pop when selling in bulk.

One good way to avoid these things is to use a site or seller that has a warranty.
