    Active is just a bit louder but the whole point isn't to see who's louder. It's about being able to change the sound volume.

    I have active exhaust and it wasn’t too much from factory as an upgrade. If you’re going to keep stock exhaust I think active is great but me personally, once I get in the car I hit that horse and straight to track mode lmfao! But this is good for people who want a lower sounding exhaust when need as it has a few options to choose from! Great video for those looking

      Because it is. Normal mode with active exhaust is a bit louder while all options above normal will be louder than a stock GT exhaust obv.

      There’s a pretty big difference in person I think. I’ve driven and been in both and it’s a pretty noticeable difference. Hard to tell the actual differences on video it does not do it justice.

      @@rafael502 Dave is right. If you can, go compare at dealer. They sound about the same when active is in normal mode, some say one is a bit louder than the other but you can still tell the difference as the active system equipped vehicle seems it has something more to offer, it is more pronounced and clear. Then, sport and track mode ups the bass and it gets deeper. I wouldn’t say way louder, it makes the surrounding shake, kind of when a lion makes that deep sound they make. It vibrates everything around by the bass. Without active exhaust, well…it is consistent and normal. Personally I’d say take one with the system, it is something that might come useful not to mention wanting to install one in a stock one is close to impossible and expensive.

      The active is louder. Look how much closer he was to the blue one on the individual tests, and they sounded like they were the same volume.
      When he did the initial startup at the beginning of the video, the yellow one is clearly louder.

      Is it worth active exhaust if I’m just getting a borla?

    Non active has more of a Classy high performance sound.

    Should be no difference in sound when active valve is fully open, the same as no valve

    • @eduy17
      @eduy17 2 года назад +1

      Wrong, both exhausts are different inside and out. While the regular stock exhaust is more chambered, the factory active exhaust in track mode seems to open up more of a straight through flowing path giving the exhaust a better sound. This is coming from experience, I owned a 2018 gt with regular exhaust and now a 2020 with active exhaust. The difference is hughe in person

      Yes. It has flaps inside the tips

    • @eduy17
      @eduy17 2 года назад +1

      @@edwin9210 no it is not, they are different inside. The difference is not only the valve but the chambers that help make the track mode louder than the stock non active exhaust. The active in track mode sounds deeper than the non active. Does this mean I would pay extra for the active? Probably not; however, I recently bought mine with that option at a lower price than one without active exhaust🤷‍♂️. I have a garage so it is nice to start it in quiet mode and not wake up everyone in the house
