- With the response to our Borla Active ATAK exhaust video, Bill wanted to give a comparison between the Borla ATAK and the Corsa Active exhaust. Which one do you prefer?

I have the Borla ATAK and it sounds amazing. Super loud, even so I got pulled over and the cop asked which system i had because he’s a mustang owner lol

they both sound pretty good, I would go in favor of the Borla system, just seems like more of a raw V8 tone.

I own an active exhaust 550. Im going to buy the Corsa based on personal experience with the neighbourhood. Those deep rumbling sounds at low revs that Borla are famous for are also the sound waves that annoy the neighbours to hell and back. They go right through walls like bass from a noisy party.
The difference between quiet mode and track mode is more noticeable with Borla, the Borla tone is better overall and I like the Borla tips more so I'd say Borla by a nose over Corsa
I say corsa by a mile due to the drone that the borlas give off. I had the borla and now the corsa and the corsa is hands down the winner.

To me Borla Atak has a better tone. May not be as loud... but the sound is more pleasant.
I’ve heard them both in person it is just as loud but it hasn’t been broken in yet

R-Luv Bham honestly I would have to say borla the reason why is because even tho corsa is loud even louder then the borla it’s really only loud when you step on it due to corsas sound cancelation mufflers it quiets down and almost becomes silent at cruising speeds whereas borla tends to keep its volume throughout its entire rpm range that’s not say that borla is annoyingly loud always no it definitely is good on drone to 👍

After debating back and forth between Atak and Corsa Extreme. I went with Corsa Extreme. It’s such a clean and loud sound and but can be controlled with throttle. Highly recommended
Exactly the reason why I chose the CORSA Extreme PERFORMANCE Exhaust System. Worth every dime spent. I absolutely love the way it scavenge the exhaust gases during low-mid-high loading RPMs. That deceleration throaty and sometimes popping sound puts a huge smile on my face everytime. 🤔😎👨🏽✈️✈🌍👏
@@judgemarshall6127 yeah it really is an amazing job. Quiet when you want it to be but loud af when you get on gas. Mike would occasionally but it burbles a lot and that puts a smile on my face like no other!

I think the corsa says more. When I hear a corsa mustang I know it. A big plus for me is corsa has zero drone. I had the borla s type and and the drone was terrible. CORSA FOR ME ALL DAY!!!
CORSA EXTREME KOOKS LONG TUBE HEADERS STRAIGHT NO RESONATORS & NO CATS hands down if you want to rip people's ear drums in half especially if they think they have a loud car. i have the corsa set up on my 2018 camaro ss 1LE and so far i am the loudest street legal car in hawaii.

I have the Atak Catback on my 19, everyone says it's loud as hell, but then they node there heads and say damn it sounds good.
I have no experience with Corsa, but I'll say if you live in a small town or a city where people complain about noise, I'm told the attack is loud as hell. I've been pulled over a few times because they claim it's excessively loud.
I'll live in small town America, farm country and every four wheel drive pickup truck has straight pipes or some type of exhaust modification. To me the Atak isn't as loud as those trucks, maybe it's because it's a mustang but I have been what I consider harassed by local law enforcement

Both sound good but $2000+ for catback.. buy headers and have your stock active exhaust and it sounds better then either and you gain huge hp.

We did an h pipe on my wife's 18 with OEM active it sounds amazing. Not as good as my x pipe and Roush though 😁

Like others have said, I prefer a deeper tone. So what I want to know is how the Magnaflow competition axle back with active exhaust sounds when paired with an h pipe...and I'll volunteer my '18 GT to find out (since I've already got the h pipe).

The ONLY way to truly compare them is to hear them in person when the systems have been BROKEN IN after several months. The borla atak was freshly put on and is clearly not in it’s true sound potential

My son has a 2017 GT with straight pipe and Borla Atak. It loud but sounds good.
Can someone that owns the Borla Atak active exhaust tell me how quiet it gets in quiet mode? Will it be quiet enough to not enrage the neighbors? Sounds pretty loud in this video but it's hard to really tell

The GT350 is a smaller market so we don't have as much content but as a GT350 owner and fan I will see what I can do!

This was the exact video ive have been lookong for. I been going back and fourth between the borla atak and corsa xtreme for months. I think im going with the atak for my 2019 mustang gt. Is it loud on the inside when just cruising? I had the borla s-type on my 2000 mustang gt and there was alot of interior resonance on the highway
corsa extreme would be the exhaust if you are looking for a loud exhaust with no drone and quite at cruising speed but as soon as you punch it corsa wakes the dead.
Thanks for your input dude. Much appreciated. I loved the borlas on my 2000 but the s-type wasnt loud enough and i do alot of highway driving and the constant hum got old on the long drives. The 2019 stock sounds great at wot but not enough for regular driving. I dont have the active exhaust which was another reservation but i heard you can keep the corsa quiet if your easy on the throttle. Is that really true?
@@randrews007 yes if you are passing a cop it can be so quiet he wouldn't even know you had an exhaust on there only thing about corsa it's super loud but more of a higher screem kind of loud where's the borla is more of that throaty loud so depending what sound you are looking for
I got the s type cat back on my 19 A10 mustang gt after 8 months I don’t think it’s loud enough... and this video is close as it can get to comparing the corsa xtreme and the ATAK

I purchased corsa because they make a 3” axleback. Borla unfortunately does not.
Borla does make 3'' Cat back, is the way to go IMO....
I know they do. I needed a 3" axleback because I had an H pipe. I didn't want to get the catback and use an X pipe because I don't like having a raspy/high pitch sound. My H pipe w Corsa Extreme still keeps the deep tone that I like.

They both sound pretty similar inside the car. I would say the Borla might be a hair louder.
I got more compliments with the corsa extremes than I have any other exhaust setup including borla ataks...just my personal experience

@@cjponyparts Probably Obnoxiously loud. I've known many fellow Shelby guys having to reconfigure back to Cats after installing CORSA Extreme A/B Performance Exhaust. Not saying you will, just saying though.....it happens more often than you could imagine.
I'm running CORSA Extreme with Basic Mods only on my 2014 Shelby GT-500. JBL CAI, Smaller SC pulley, Agressive Custom, Tune with E85, Larger Injectors. Couldn't be happier with the awesome CORSA sound. I'd be weary to drive it with No Cats. 🤔😎✈🌍

Bill, i have a question.. my 17 has cat delete pipes and a corsa sport catback. I’ve had the setup for a few years now but i want to change it up a bit, i am liking how the new LTH catback sounds or for sure the ARH American Thunder X pipe catback. Not looking for anything way louder than my corsa sport how would the lth or the arh compare to the corsa sports as far as volume?
quieter IMO. definitely different in tone but not as loud nor raspy.

The LTH would be a little quieter than the sport and a little lower pitched. I have not heard the ARH so I cannot compare.

@@r-luvbham6608 We do not offer an installation work, any mechanic or exhaust shop can install an S550 exhaust, they are vert easy to do.

They both sound great but I went with the Borla S-Type axel back mated with X pipe and 2 X Thunderbolt 400CEL high flow cats welded to my MAK race pipes and it sounds awesome! Sounds much better in person and this video doesn't do it justice because it was recorded from my cell phone inside the car!
