Side note; I grew up in a military family and I was kid at the tail end of the Cold War. I clearly remember my dad saying that if we ever got into a war with Russian that half their shit would break down because their equipment was so poorly maintained. Geez man I really hope you are exaggerating a bit. I am an old man but many years ago when I was in university (and other school before) we use to have weekly drills in case of a nuclear attack. When I was even younger I remember being so scared and afraid of the USSR. Now days my grandkids have friends online from Russia and while things seem so much better than in the 1970s, I know that they make do with just the bare necessities and don’t have a lot of extra money. I always tell my grandkids that when they make friends with someone from Russia on STEAM (a gaming platform type site I believe) they should buy (and I’ll repay them) that new friend a game that they really want because they may rarely get that type of thing. I know relationships are VERY strained with Russia but I cannot help but have sympathy for the regular citizens that are just trying to live day by day. Great content and I enjoy an outlook from someone like you that has a much greater knowledge base than us here in the US. I wish you good health, happiness and all the best to you and your families!

You are probably about my age. I'm turning 63 in a month. You sound like a great person. Bravo to you! I follow about 6 or 8 Russians on RUclips, and have done so for around 2 or 3 years. Most of them are in their 20s and 30s, but some are in their 40s and 1 is in his 50s. Most of them have left Russia to avoid Putin's genocidal war, and I believe that all of them are against Putin, although some are more vocal than others. The ones who have stayed have to be aware that the government moniters RUclips, and will lock them up for speaking out against it. Of those who have left Russia, they are all still in close touch with others who are still in Russia.
I just thought I'd say that those who live in the cities seem to be doing well financially, even with the sanctions due to the war. The ones I am thinking of, off the top of my head, are:
      That Russian Guy
      Russia Today
      Vasya In The Hay
      The Skeekoz Family
      Nicky Proshin
      1420
      Nfzx ____
I will have to look the others up.
I follow some Ukranians too. I realize that your post is old. It really would be better now if you could instead support a Ukrainian cause, like this channel of Artur Rehi, by Patroen or what ever other ways he has setup, which will be listed in the description.
Or you could find out by Googling about the best other ways to donate to Ukrainian relief organizations. I intend to do the same, and when I find out what is best, later today, I'll come back here and tell you what I've found. Then if you want to, you can verify what I have found on your own, and donate wherever you see fit. I think your generosity is wonderful! And you are setting a great example! Your example will be followed by your grandchildren. ❤❤❤

I was gonna say the violinist's style sounds pretty Greek too which I guess makes sense since during Byzantine times I imagine that what is now Russia would have had more influence from that sort of Greek influenced music (which was of course influenced by the Arabic and Persian music)
