If you want a simmilar-ish experience you could go with Poland. They have some pretty fun paths including a secret one if you go monarchist but repetedly decline every possible leader. If you want something more different i could recommend perhaps Spain or the USA. Feel free to ask if you want like a specific kind of playthrough though

The next nation I played was germany, where I learned that light tanks with SPART were absolutely god tier against infantry (I later upgraded to medium tanks. I did 30w tank divisions, as they fit into plains tiles perfectly, and found them to be effective throughout most of if not all of Europe.) 15w tank divs might be good for Africa, since they use half the supply a 30w would use. (I use logi universally for armor, just to keep supply.)

Also, if you are running low on manpower, you can ask Germany or Italy for "garrison support" and they will help. Also, instead of building everything you can, you should just build the items your army needs and adjust to their needs so they have the arms and equipment they need to be at full strength at all times. Also I think you should play as Finland next.

Currently we're in a transitional period since the server currently in use by the community will be going down on the 18th of December, but we'll be transitioning to a new server afterwards. Essentially the short version is it's a nationbuilding server where the players are self-moderating for most things(obviously things like doxxing and outright harassment are still handled by admins, but otherwise there are mechanics that place the power of moderation in the hands of the players through in-game functionality). It's a really fun community and I imagine you'd get a lot of enjoyment out of it if you enjoy HOI4. There's more depth to it than that, but that's the gist of how it works. If you're interested I hope you look into it, and I'd be happy to provide a tour of the nation I'm a part of on the server and show the mechanics if you're interested.
