I love the Cezanne trees too. Such vibrancy! Would work well in acrylics / acrylic gouache. Also love the bluey greens in the still life. Yummy. What a fun challenge for the month.✏️🎨🖌 I'm going to try world watercolour month this month. I have a tiny (smaller than A6) hardback sketchbook I don't really use so plan on doing a page a day. My loose rules are whatever (water-soluble) media takes my fancy and to do something (anything!) colourful every single day even if it is just an abstract doodle! 😂
Oh Tara, I LOVE the sound of the challenge + your rules! 😍 I've also 'lightly' planned to join in the 3 materials drawing challenge over on insta alongside my July challenge... will be interesting to see how everything pans out! 👀
What an exciting challenge. Cezanne looks great for gouache or watercolours. Any of them look great. I went to the "Surrealism and Magic" exhibition in 2023 and was mesmerised by a painting by Max Ernst, something abstract. Can't remember the name now. It had amazing textures and colours. It was something about earth and water. I associated it with climate change. He was probably thinking about war. ❓❓ Have you considered a study from an abstract painting? I really look forward to your weekly updates.
Another lovely monthly challenge. For the Cezanne, my personal choice would be the trees with the orange behind them. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do, regardless.
@@KilbyDelaney-jt1kw thanks Kilby! The trees one if so gorgeous, I think I’d learn a lot from attempting it. And wouldn’t be against putting it on the wall either! 😉

oooh these are cool books! I have that cheap sketchbook from jacksons too but mine is tiny 🥰
Oh, how do you find the paper? I wasn't expecting what I got, perhaps cos the old large Seawhites one was soooo good...
A lovely video again. From the Cezanne I would use the landscape on the front cover, because I like that one really much.
Oh Jessica, that's cheating! 🤣
Looking forward to seeing the finished work!
Thanks Piper! Slow going on the first one, but mostly because I got distracted by the football tournament and UK politics... 🤣

Love the Cezanne trees ❤
THey're fab aren't they? Too hot here at the moment to have a go with oil pastels though... sigh. ❤️

Cezanne's Ladies!
Cezanne ladies or fruit. The trees are gorgeous, but too similar to the Rousseau piece that you selected.

That is SUCH a good point that I hadn't even noticed! Thank you!
