I love the little detail of The Doctor correcting the solar system model in the beginning of the scene, small things like that really sell his character as an eccentric time traveller.

The way Bill looks at the Doctor after he makes that speech... They had such great chemistry as a duo. I know a lot of people didn't like Bill as a companion, but I really did. She was grounded, not a pushover, good dry sense of humor to go with the Doc's. Anyway. I have always loved this speech, makes it one of my favorite episodes.
I loved Bill. I loved their mentor relationship, I loved how she made him question his constant assuredness. They were a wonderful pair.

Honestly, I've found that every single companion is never appreciated on the first watch and you can better appreciate the nuances of the characters with later rewatches.
The Bill episodes were overwhelmingly Capaldi's best, so...
The range of emotion Capaldi showed as the Doctor is astounding, when delivering speeches like this. Look at how calmly he speaks. He's not angry. He's not threatening Sutcliffe. He's not saying "How dare you?!" - He's calmly telling him what's wrong with his worldview, and how he can change it. Sure, the punch was satisfying, but I'm more impressed by the Doctor's ability to remain calm in the face of someone he disagrees with - and at Capaldi's ability to deliver that speech in such a way.
The amount of political propaganda and moral superiority displayed by this doctor over the whole season was heart breaking, and showed us what the next doctor would be. A shill for the hard left.

What makes it so funny is that, despite the setup being obvious, it doesn’t go straight for the usual “but I don’t have any” line, instead saying it clearly but indirectly.

the iron fist thing was a joke... and anyway, that's the normal reaction that someone would have when one of his dearest friend is insulted. Anyway, this is not the first time the Doctor uses violence.

I'm not sure it's that funny. The comment is that Sutcliffe's behaviour shows all of the values of the 19th century, he is too much a man of his time. If he were an alien, he wouldn't have commented on Bill at all, she'd be perfectly normal by whatever standards he's familiar with. It is a great commentary on the darker, often overlooked aspects of history.
Yeah, but the irony of how to an alien that would be insignificant make it a little funny, specially with the commentary that Bill make about it. I clarify, the fact that is a little ironic and funny does not make it less deep and connected to the comment that you remarked, it is only another side of the same scene that makes this script so good.

I think Sutcliffe is an avatar for American white nationalist Richard Spencer, who was punched to the ground by a protestor during a street interview sometime prior to this episode.
It would be nice if you included the scene after this one, where Bill asks the Doctor if it takes 900 years of living to be able to make a speech like that, that scene plus the way Bill looks at him in this one, shows how great of a man the Doctor is.

Squicx first of all, Jon Pertwee is an actor who died in 1996. I think you mean the Third Doctor showed up. Second, the 3rd doctor used a form of martial arts called Aikido which can only be used if you're physically attacked. This is because the doctor promotes non-violence for solving problems. This scene is a fine example of why Doctor Who is plummeting downhill and it's ratings are going with it.

That was a great scene. Love these highlights coz there’s so much to take in watching each episode, and so many superb scenes that they tend to be forgotten while focussing on the progress of the overarching plot -and subplots. Bill is such an awesome companion.
