7:56 the way Volvo and Polestar are starting to separate themselves from each other is all in the graphic design, especially in the headlights and taillights. The Volvo retains the Thor’s Hammer treatment for the headlights, whereas the Polestar separates those elements into 2 headlights on the front and bottom, giving the car a look at the front that’s more reminiscent of an actual star (essentially, Polestar headlights are a reference to the logo). Additionally, it appears to me that Volvo taillights still retain that iconic shape they’ve had for white a while, whereas the Polestar’s taillight shape is a bit different, often being more boxy and architectural. The headlights and taillights on the Polestar are also thinner, whereas they’re thicker on the Volvo, and can also use different thicknesses on the Volvo vs the Polestar. Essentially, Volvo’s design is more playful, whereas Polestar’s design is more serious. It’s less obvious when looking at the line flow, but most ppl don’t. They just pay attention to the headlights

I didn't think I would ever want another another Volvo as badly as this, at my age. I only have to drive for short trips and no family to transport anymore, so this...and the EX30 is right in my wheelhouse. Sorry big box Volvos but the pretty, cute one has caught my eye. BTW is that interior an updated version of early 60's Mini-Minor? It is weirdly similar.

Would be great for the U.S. where the NACS network is just fundamentally superior than CCS for the forseeable (3-5 year) future, but in Europe there just isn't a need for a direct Tesla collaboration. Volvo for practicality, luxury, and safety..... Polestar is that plus 'aggression' and performance

This reviewer always seems to get the telling details just right: I LOVE the suggestion of an all-black panel connecting the two separate rear light vertical units, tying them to the blacked out roof and unifying the look into a clean whole visual unit. @@MaticTheProto People are putting China onto the car. This is the same design studio that brought the current Volvos and the Volvos before it.
