Hey Björn! The Charging with Only 5A is a Software Bug. You need to Enable the "Limit charging Current" Option to Charge at Higher Speed and to see how much Amps you are Charging with on the AC Side! Keep up the Good Videos!
Why is the charge port on the left side the right side and the right side the wrong side? Wouldn't it be better to have it on the right side for curbside charging? Otherwise you might have to park the wrong way around for which you'd get a ticket in some countries (e.g. Germany).
he says it because of garage parking. if u dont have enough space on both sides, just on the driver side its easier to charge. i agree public charging sucks this way but i charge at home anyway.
The Sun did an article of a previous video driving the car to the battery died and they pretended it was a problem with EVs. So Bjørn is trolling them.
Can you test performance with cold battery and SoC about 50-60%. I heard complains that performance is radically limited in such situation and it takes a lot of time to get batteries warm again.
Hiya Bjorn! little off topic here, but as an Australian who lives in a somewhat warmish climate, (it doesnt get below 10c here) do you think a heat pump in an EV is necessary for our market? I ask because I am considering between this, the PS2, the Ioniq 6 and the Model 3 Highland. if a heat pump isn't necessary in a climate like mine, the Polestar 2 looks like it'd be close to ideal as a car for me, on a practicality standpoint. Likewise for the EX30.
Heat pump isn't strictly necessary but still can be nice to have, but a heatpump for most places shouldn't be what makes you chose the car. Other factors like ease of use, drive train efficency, features, reliability etc should play a much bigger factor in chosing your car. I would out of those options suggest the tesla if you can deal with lack of stalks, I found it to be fine on a test drive. Also remembering teslas get better over time with software updates.
I live inland NSW/Australia with an older Model S with resistive heater 5kW max. Heatpump or not doesn't matter but with Tritium finished now go for the brand with reliable charging as standard. M3 Highland all the way, my friend..blinker stalks or not. My S has done 380.000km btw.
Do you use air-conditioning in your current car? If yes then you may benefit from a heat pump in an EV. The heat pump provides a comfortable cabin temperature with minimal battery use. It also keeps the battery temperature at its most efficient level for operation.
Woah! Never seen someone get himself out of an electric car "empty tank" situation by carrying an emergency charge from a portable power bank. Talk about elevating "range anxiety" hahaha
For some reason, the Volvo just seems overpriced for what it's bringing to the table. :/ Also, I'd love some sort of degradation test on an iX3 (the pre-facelift version) of course, cause mine hasn't reported over 370km range at 100% for a year and a half now. :D
Björn, beware that the AC charging limit will reset itself after each charging under the current software version. In addition, if the charger is able to give 1x10A then the car will take 9A. Or if it's 3x16A then the car will take maximum 3x15A. Garbage programming.
Interesting. I know about the reset (and can work around it until 1.3) but didn't know about the reduced maximum. Explains why my 32A home charger only seems to give the EX30 29A. I wasn't sure if my charger was going faulty at first. Hope that's fixed in 1.3 too!
@@MrBlixton yea quite unfortunate. We tested this with 2 wall mounted chargers (Tesla and Defa), 2 shuko chargers, and around 4 different shopping mall chargers. For some reasons the car took always 1A less than could have.
Stole Bjorn's videos and misrepresented the content, claiming he was an innocent buyer mis-led by dealers into buying an EV then deeply confused when it ran out of power (video was of a 0% test). Urgh.
Not sure I'd carry one for a road trip (especially with the small EX30 boot!). Just plan your charging properly and it will be fine. EcoFlow are more for recovery companies or Norwegian RUclipsrs :-)

this is BS review. what I need to know is the size of the battery, the speed when testing (hopefully 120 because with 100 you don’t get anywhere) and number or kilometers done. simple. anything besides that is not useful

They copied the behaviour of the e-up! No power limit on OBD, No indication of charging speed at all and if the Screen blanks -> open door

Tesla don't have any press cars available.
The limit charging current bug is fixed in v1.3
when is coming out? Our dealer said that there are no updates available yet.
