I am a lineman/cable splicer for a large Telecommunication Company ... High school Diploma only, zero college ..... I started at my job 12 years ago at 19 years old at about $13/hr ...... Stuck with it worked hard, now i am at $40.50/hr for about the past 5-6 years ... if i got zero overtime throughout the year i would gross roughly $84,000/year .... that being said, i get a lot of overtime, its there when i want it (but i do not rely on it) , the past few years i have grossed around $105,000-$110,000 .. i work with guys that gross around $120,000 ..... I am living proof you absolutely do not have to have a college degree to make good money....... I do sometimes wish I had a degree, but school just is not for me, I cannot pay attention lol
Let's gooooo!! And that's incredible, and its all about how much money you keep. Yeah you started low but because you kept at it now you get to reap the rewards. Do you also invest your money to build up some passive income for the future
I’m interested in being an electrician. Is it a difficult job? Was taking the ACT test something I should prepare for? So many questions if this line of work is something I could be good at
@@TheOfficialMcWaka You don't need to take the act test to be a electrician that's college only search up trade schools near me or contact your local union hall. Good luck!!
In Canada we linemen are called Powerline technicians. Long story short electric utility companies pay six figures for a qualified experienced lineman and that's not including annual bonuses which can range to five figures.
Michelle Batchelder I’m late but should I go to college for business or marketing I’ve been interested in being a brand specialist of some sort but I also like tech and doing hand work idk I’m weird I like watching tech channels like reviews on certain products I like cars too
Any trade recommendations... looking for something other than construction. I’m a 22 year old mother w a two year old. Some college education no degree completed. New focus on learning a high paying trade to support myself and my son ( in the Bay Area mind you) while giving me extra income to invest & save. I’m short and not very active and I’m not trying to be in my daily work requirements like construction. ( it’s hard to find trade suggestions other than construction lol).... any ideas??
Cool Beans I’d suggest you to continue your college education and get an associates degree. You can go to a local community college and use FAFSA to get some money off tuition. There are many jobs in the health field that pay well for only having an aa degree! Tech is also very profitable, but I’m not as familiar with the work field in that area if you only have an aa. If you don’t want to go to college then you should try doing some research on different trade jobs so that you can find one you like. Some profitable trades that I’ve seen are nurse practitioners or truck driving. I’ve heard they make pretty good money! There’s plenty more trades that don’t have work as strenuous as construction, but those jobs typically make the most out of the trade school jobs.
You are exactly right eventually youtube will replace college and they'll start using the campuses for apartments and recreation places for anyone around the world who wants to live there or is poor.
Porscha Nicole I am a teacher and I can say we don’t get paid well at all! If you’re in New York or Chicago public schools you will do ok pay wise. Otherwise it’s absolutely crap!

I always did my best in school and I've always got good grades. My family is poor so I am absolutely against getting in debt. Trade school is my only option. I just want to amount to something and give back to my parents. It's all so stressful to think about.
My mom and dad both have PHD’s from Harvard and make 6 figures annually and they always breathing down my neck about going to college where they went too but the reality is that college is not meant for some people I told them I wanted to go to a trade school to work for a railroad and they are pissed still to this day.
I would’ve gone to Harvard if I was you since they give priority to applicants with family alumni . You could’ve gone into the finance field in that school networked and gotten to Goldman Sachs for investment banking. They earn 250k a year and it only goes up some take home $800k
College was the most expensive mistake I’ve ever made. Unless you have a clear goal as to what you wanna be (doctor, lawyer, etc.) don’t waste your time and money. After four years of studying psychology, my resume and skill set was limited. Employers didn’t care for me since everyone has a bachelors now. Then there’s the classes you have to take. Explain to me why I’m paying for a psych degree but I have to take two history classes and a modern art class. Seriously? Each class was $800. How does it further my understanding of psychology? College is a sham. Don’t go in if you’re not sure what you wanna do. As with anything, you get out what you put in, so pick and choose wisely.
@@notyouraverage1saiah660 absolutely. I’m currently in college to major in biology to persuade a career in nursing, and I totally regret my choice. I wish I would have done a trade. To every one saying that their family is pressuring them: it’s You’re life! Don’t give into the pressure if you’re not sure that it’s what you want to do!
I was in the same exact situation. Went to an all white private college because it was “prestigious” and it impressed my family members. I hated that school, I went into a deep depression and was on the brink of suicide. Transferred to another 4 year college that’s not nearly as prestigious but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life, found out that I want to pursue a career as a lawyer. Taking control of your life is the KEY to happiness and success. We all start somewhere, whether that be at the bottom or with a little help. Ultimately your potential is determined by your habits, which will *DEFINE* Who you are and what mark you leave on earth.
I went to college for 2 years and realized it was a scam. I had times when the final exams were composed of previous exams and just required memorization. There were too many moments when I would take a course, rent the book, and passed the class without even reading it. Everything I learned seemed irrelevant in a real life scenario. The only reason I went was because people I admired and respected encouraged me to go. I never knew that they were incentivized to send you to college to make a profit. No wonder the student debt in America is over a trillion dollars. The university was overcrowded and I had trouble finding places to park. I have learned much more from RUclips and life experiences than school has taught me. I started using a bidet and a hair dryer to help me from using toilet paper, built my own ebike ($700) for transporting to work, setup a smart thermostat for conserving energy, built my own home gym, and when I have free time I would work with laptop in my own self made desk to teach myself calculus. I just dont see the point of school since you can teach yourself as long as you have willpower.
When I was in school, also I saw the same thing teachers have a lack of understanding and a bunch of professor with no work experience. And the professors that did work and we're teaching would always say they'll cover all this stuff when training you. It's like a monopoly if you think about it; the only option giving to you after you graduate is going to college. And the same happened to me when taking advice from people. What I do now is look at the person's life and if I don't want to live the life they have, im very careful to listen to what they are saying And yeah you can teach yourself anything if you want to. And college would be great if it want over priced. And gets to keep getting worst because of government subsidizing and easy access to loans. And lol that's pretty cool that you make your own bike 🚴 😎 What do you do now vs. what you studied?
I work for Amazon right now, but that is just temporary meanwhile I finish my studies. I work part time (25hrs a week) with them as treasure truck, whole foods Amazon now shopper, and prime now shopper. And it isn't just any bike, it is and electric bike which can run up to 40 miles per hour and travel somewhere about 21 miles before needing a recharge.
My best friend decided to go to trade school to become an aircraft mechanic. He started making $65,000 straight out of the program, more than most of my classmates straight out of college. Trade school is definitely not for losers, it’s just another career path. It should be encouraged in high school rather than only applying for coolers.
I get what u mean man, I'm a sophomore my parents don't care what I do as long as I make money but I can understand the stress honestly what I can tell u is when it comes to the time to get move out u should tell them straight what u have planned

I skipped trade school, and jumped right unto an apprenticeship. So I made money while I learned. I became a plumber in a year, and now making around $8000 a month. However, what you make as a plumber really depends on the company you work for. Find a good company.
It depends. If you like talking to people, solving problems, putting stuff together with your hands, and making good money, then you would love it, like I do. But if your lazy, dont pay attention to detail, or cant stand people, then plumbing isnt for you. Besides that, all my sons will have the choice to graduate highschool, and start making 80k-100k a year, or pursue college, and be broke, living paycheck to paycheck like the majority of college graduates, unfortunately.
Nice. I'm considering plumbing. I like people and solving problems. Lots of experience building things. Do you have any tips about finding an apprenticeship?
This video was honestly highly encouraging. Definitely an eye opener and now I’m more then sure about what I want to do. Always had an interest for plumbing and electrical. After watching this video now I’m ready to take on whatever. Let’s get it done and make it happen.... 2020 baby 🙏✨
My brother left for a welding trade school about a month ago. I coincidentally got put in a welding class at my vocational high school that I really enjoy, but I still really don't know. I don't want to stick with it only because I'm familiar with it or because it's what he's doing. But I know for a fact college isn't for me. I can't bring myself to pay the least amount of attention in traditional school settings, let alone enjoy it. And I have to pay to be bored out of my mind and take a whole bunch of extra classes that don't pertain to what I want to learn in the first place? Hell no. I can hear my mom now,“I didn't go to college. I just want you to experience it, mija. It'll open so many opportunities.” Yeah, sure. It'll open my wallet too.
Lol 😂 my wallet, and yeah the key is if you do trade school you can do it without going in to massive debt. And if you ever change your mind college will always be their waiting to take your wallet

Touching on the topic of it’s not how much you make it’s how much you keep. Your 💯 percent correct. If you spend the money you make then your poor. So it’s a smart idea to invest in yourself. I will be encouraging my daughter to go to trade school. I will be supportive no matter what but I don’t want her to stress herself out because of a college degree or debt.
My dad was a teacher, and he was pushing me, and pushing me, and more pushing for me to go to college. I went nowhere. I didn't even graduate. Its humiliating, but damn it felt like a waste of time. I was going in circles on what big career do I want to make me money. Then some personal things happened, and I could not continue my schooling. It was all a waste of time and money for nothing. There was even a point where my dad would say "college is not for everyone." But in a condescending manner. Now that I am older, and still don't know what to do with myself, I feel a bit of hope that a trade job is something I can do. I spent so many years in school with nothing to show for it, it doesn't feel right to go back. Plus, so many friends of mine graduated college, no money to be had. Even with success, there was no point. The future looks bright now. Perhaps in two years time, I'll have some good money coming in, I'll invest in some real estate, stocks, shoot. I may have started late, but I won't finish last.
Like the video you should include being a Hvac technician I am currently in school learning this after trying to get my degree to become a gym teacher but I gave it up because of the debt I was going to accumulate. Nate V that’s super great because the teachers from my school sorta encouraged it but they definitely encouraged college over trade schools 100%. That 40-50k starting salary is nice but just know the work IS NOT EASY, literally theres days that are soo ridiculous im just happy to make it home and days where its stressful like "okay imma take my ass to college" lol. Id say if you wanna make a decent wage fast and grow then jump into a trade if you want to have a "Easier" job(no offense) go to college be broke the next 4-6Yrs then battle that debt that comes with it and also enjoy the perks that come with a college degree type job. I have been a qualified fabricater/ welder since 2007. Next September I am starting a honours degree in mechanical engineering. I feel it's the best way for me to progress and make more money. Another consideration besides taking online classes online is taking classes abroad. I would've had a free education if I went to school in Europe, cheaper if I went to school in Canada. Plus cost-of-living could have diminished. These places have transferable degrees unlike getting a degree in Haiti or Congo.
Very interesting and I'm not sure how the citenzship would work. Because usually it's free schooling for people who were born there or have been there for a very long time. And very good point
@@TommyBryson europe.graduateshotline.com/free-education.html Here you go. After law school, I found out about education abroad places like the Scandinavia offer free education to citizens & international students. All students need to worry about is living expenses. Went to college and got no where. Lost a lot of money for a potential degree that wasn't even garunteed to get me the career I wanted. Started going to trade school this year, I'll be spending half as much as I spent already at college. Then I'll spend even less than half of what I would have spent at a college for a 4 year degree. Been in trade school for 2 months for plumbing which is in high demand in my state and I've only got 4 more months to go before I start getting job placements. College is a scam. They can call me a loser if they want. But if I play my cards right I'll be making more in the next 5 years than my friends who have masters degrees and all I have is a GED. Plumbing isn't the most luxurious or interesting of jobs but it gets the bills paid and more. I'll be making more in plumbing in 2 years than I made in total in the last 5 years I've been working as a security guard. Anyone who calls me a loser is just upset that I will have more than them in less time and with less work and more money in my pocket than they did. Those people can suck my nuts.
I think you are smart. Read all these comments. For so many people college is a big waste of money and time. It's good if you realize it quickly. Ther are also medical field 2 year trade schools.
Late late comment. But I went to trade school for welding, electrician then when to truck driving school. I have 2 certificates & a class A CDL. I make 82k and I’m home every single day as a truck driver. I can give a personal example, I started driving at the age of 21 I made 56k my first year, at the age of 26 now I’m at 82k. On the other end my sister went to college to be a RN she’s 30 and finally finished. She makes 61k a year and is in 24k debt. I paid cash for trade school. It costed me 1100$ for both stages of my welding certificate, 460$ for my entry level electrician certificate, and 1200$ for my A’s.
Not tryna shit on you I have family that are truckers and I have family in nursing I personally went military but from what I see truck driving makes easy money but in the long run it effected my family health worse than my family who did nursing then when my cousin who a truck driver got laid off he wanted to go to a different profession an all he know was truck driving so he just sad fuck it an went to what he knew best with nursing degree you can go to different careers other than nursing with little ease. Again not hating make that money fam.

Guys, if you're reading this, and you dont care about going to college.. dont do it lol, I wish I would have done trade school instead. Big waste of 4-5 years to go to college a majority of the time, unless you're really passionate about it
Thanks for helping me out man I'm 21 and still have no idea what I want to do trade school or college. I feel trade school is better because I'm more of a visual learner than a book learner. Also I really want to start working within two years top. You got any more tips let me know bro I still live with my parents 21 and I want change.
Don't move out, keep your debt down, and save and invest most of your money. And try different things out, to know what you really like doing. Heres the budget i use link: ruclips.net/video/K2iqN4KT8eo/видео.html
Trade School! I went to coding bootcamp onsite in San Francsico. After much hard work after graduation, 3 years later I am a Sr. Salesforce Developer. The Bootcamp cost was $13,000.
I went to college and decided I just want to get to the money but now I'm at a point I'm lost with no skills really gain or maybe I have skills but idk wtf I just went to college to go everyone pushing u to go to college. Now I understand life and my intuition said get to the money and I'm wondering if trade school my answer to grow my hobbies into a leveled up skill(s)
College is always going to be there, you can try out trade school in something you really enjoy and see how it works out. The good thing is that you won't go into massive debt with trade school
Yes Tommy, idk wtf I was thinking going to college. I just lookedbup local learn trade schools in my area I already found several schools that is way more affordable and hands-on learning. This would be way better than just bookwork and no experience.
So i went to College straight outta high school at 18 years old my school i was accepted to did not have the program i wanted to do with my life ( Marine Biology) so i was an “undeclared major” but as a teenager living away from home with alcohol hot girls and drugs readily available at all times. Needless to say i flunked out after my first year, short story short as i tried to make enough money to go back and jobs etc to get me thru school life kept smacking me in my face to the point im at now where im a 29 year old engaged man with a 3 year old and fiance to support. I recently ( last year went to tech) got a couple certificates. All in all took me about 6 months i got my CDLs and a certificate in Power line work. My plan is to be a lineman as soon as i find that good job as an apprentice open up i jump on it. It is pretty competitive to get on a good company as an apprentice lineman starting out so wish me luck. But to shorten this long story up I will be making around 65-70k for entry level and after 4-5 years when my apprenticeship is finished i become a journeyman lineman and its up from there starting around $40-$45 an hr not to mention when storm work you are paid 24/7 from the minute you step out of your house until the moment you step back in. And most companies are double-triple time pay for storm work. To wrap everything up I’d still like to finish my dream of becoming a marine biologist one day but for now with only 6 months of class work to get me certified as a lineman and easily make over 100-125k a year after a few years i think I’ll definitely enjoy the work and money and be comfortable to go back to school 10-15 years down the road to finally do what i love as well as have a nice bank account to fall back on. Also: Forgot to mention I got my cerificates in Power line work and my CDL Class A for free so basically have the opportunity to make over a 100k easily for free
Quite honestly I’ve been looking i to trade schools rather than college. For me personally it seems a lot more efficient. The cost is a lot better and plus I just feel like jobs that I could pick up from there would be much better for me since a lot of them are very much so up and on the move. My friends are seemingly quite iffy on me doing all of this but I don’t believe any of them have genuinely looked into the pay and how much better it is in the long run. I’m still looking into it though. A lot of the stuff I’m learning is self taught anyways. I’m a junior and high school and I honestly feel like some of my time at school is a waste. Not all of it, i most certainly need some of the stuff I’m taught there but not all of it.
I’m dropping out of college to go to trade school. I was really doing my research and I’m going for welding technology. This starts off as a 7 month program than job placement afterwards.

I made a little more than $62,000 being a security officer alone in Tennessee in 2019. I'm on track to make more this year in just security alone. All my training was on the job.

The reason I watched your video is because I would like to.make more money without working so many hours. In security, I often can study on the job for maybe a vocational job. I like the idea of being an airline mechanic. My great granddaddy happened to be one and a lot of my relatives work at an airport doing various jobs.
I'm a master electrician, just had my first year in business and made 78000.00 , more than enough for my first year to support my family. My wife was able to quit working also. I am able to charge 100 per hour plus materials with a markup. Not bad for being in a looser trade..lol
It varies so much by what you get into but you can get paid or at least free training on your own time while learning sales depending on the company you are getting into.
@@TommyBryson Plus in this video the discussion is more formal trade school not what I was getting at which was more going off a different video comment by you on taking video suggestions.
Yeah for sure and there's a lot different video i deas that i could make around that. Do you think i should make a video on the top 3 or 7 sales jobs in 2019? 🤔
@@TommyBryson If that is what you think you can present best then yes. Another idea is sales techniques or how to learn or get into sales. Maybe go with what you are thinking of first then expand on the topic later?
I went to a community college thinking I could become a mechanical engineer. That didn't work.LOL The only classes I could finish were choir and art, one English class ,yoga, and guidance classes .I stopped and started a trade school as a medical assistant and graduated it was fun exciting and well worth the time.I interned at an chiropractic office which was cool. Its just now I'm kind of scared to work with covid 19 being so deadly.Trade schools can be a faster way to find a career but its all up to the person and their walk in life.
When I was in high school, my school offered a program that students could go into a trade while going to high school. I graduated high school and had my welding certification
what in the WORLD was that 300k trade job??? I've worked in trades for years, and I can honestly say I don't know what pays that high...I think the highest I've ever heard of was air traffic controllers, they usually make $125k, but they also run some of the highest risk to themselves. Anything happens, they're fired and never allowed to work again, which is why their job is so high stress, and they have one of the highest suicide rates of all the trades...I worry about what pays the 300k, but I'm also genuinely curious what it could be...
Trade school is great but u have to factor in that College is way more than just finding a job. There’s many life experiences u can’t get anywhere else. But u should only go if u can afford it
Life experience comes from life and doing, people don’t do much in college. Trying out trade school and several different jobs and going to seminars would be less expensive and more effective. And if you can’t afford college and need student loans, then that’s okay as long as you know the career you want and why you want it.
Lord Pops Most people in my town that went to college regret it because they haven’t been employed by the jobs they worked hard to study for which is sad because their stuck with debt.
16 gonna graduate at 17 and absolutely fucked. I have no idea what I want to too I went my whole life thinking I would just go to college up until 3 months ago. Now I know I’m not gonna go to college I see not logical point to it but I’ve got an entire family pressuring me to go to college no one knows that I don’t plan on going. I feel bad for my grandparents they have had my college paid for since the day I was born which I’m glad and would totally use if I wanted to go to college. I can already hear the endless arguments about how my grandparents saved all this money for me and I’m just gonna never use it. Only person I’m comfortable telling is my dad purely because he’s worked trades and although it wasn’t for him he made a shit of money when he worked them.
The family pressure for college hurts.
It's because they want the "best for you", however, they won't pay those loans for you. Once you have a plan, and you can break down to them, they'll be more understanding, since you know where you want to go in life.
Ps. If you change your mind, its okay. Don't stick to something just to prove someone wrong
@TommyBryson I'll think about it. Thanks.
😎
Brandan Harvey it’s okay I’ll be the first to go to trade school and like he said have a plan

Taking control of your life is the KEY to happiness and success. We all start
somewhere, whether that be at the bottom or with a little help. Ultimately your
potential is determined by your habits, which will *DEFINE* Who you are and
what mark you leave on earth.
What I do now is look at the person's life and if I don't want to live the life they have, im very careful to listen to what they are saying
And yeah you can teach yourself anything if you want to. And college would be great if it want over priced. And gets to keep getting worst because of government subsidizing and easy access to loans. And lol that's pretty cool that you make your own bike 🚴 😎
What do you do now vs. what you studied?
I work for Amazon right now, but that is just temporary meanwhile I finish my studies. I work part time (25hrs a week) with them as treasure truck, whole foods Amazon now shopper, and prime now shopper. And it isn't just any bike, it is and electric bike which can run up to 40 miles per hour and travel somewhere about 21 miles before needing a recharge.
I plan on just taking the exams from them, but not the lecture
Awesome sounds like a good plan. And do you sell does bikes, I may know some people interested. What's your price?

I skipped trade school, and jumped right unto an apprenticeship. So I made money while I learned. I became a plumber in a year, and now making around $8000 a month. However, what you make as a plumber really depends on the company you work for. Find a good company.
Is it a good trade

I may have started late, but I won't finish last.
its been ten months where are you now, hope you're doing well
Yah fr
Update? Hope you're doing well.
I'm going to college and it's just been rough. My family is pushing college but I don't feel it's right for me
Try different things out, the problem is not taking action. “ the key is finding out what you like, are good at, and also can make money with “
im in the exact situation.
RC if your family is pressuring college in you, have them pay for it! Don’t go into school debt for tuition.
Don’t do what your parents want you to do that will sink u in depression do what your desires
They were not wrong. They lied. It's their job to get people in College.

Thanks man, any ideas for future vids just let me know
Like the video you should include being a Hvac technician I am currently in school learning this after trying to get my degree to become a gym teacher but I gave it up because of the debt I was going to accumulate. Starting pay as an apprentice can range from $18-25 and after you get 4K hours in that’s when you become a salary worker or start doing your own thing. I have meet several Hvac techs who make well over the 100k mark with just an epa License or 5-9 months at a trade school
Fist time hearing about that one, can you send me some info on it . I think i'll do a part 2 to this video in the future
What state? Here in Florida top pay is only $25 an hour. How are you finding starting pay that high?
@@kenshinhimura9387 Salary depends on the company you're working with. Non union or union. Also, with overtime you're looking twice the amount of your base salary.

Kenshin Himura sorry to get back to you late but I’m located in nc I know that dc starts the highest for techs as far as in state money if you go in vet seas you can get paid but sometimes you will have to have your journey man license
Well at least you got your girlfriend out of college. 👍🏾 I’m 27 and I am ready to switch careers. The field I got my college degree in is not doing it for me anymore. I definitely wish I went to trade school after high school. I hope our generation passes on this knowledge to our children,so they don’t have to make the same mistakes we do.
You have alot of time left and now you know what you like and what you dont like, keep me updated with your progress
What's your college degree?
Title is click bait. Half of these jobs are ask for a Bachelors degree. Very misleading. Searched on Google.
I work as a hygienist in Arizona my starting salary was 65k a year. I’m at roughly 78k per year and work around 24-32 hours per week.
Dental Hygienist?
Panther Prime yes
I have so many questions about this career because I’m kinda interested in it, but firstly id like to ask if you only had to go to trade school and then proceed right into the job??? Sorry if this question sounds really dumb lol im just really confused
I want to go to college to become a Dental Hygienist but I went to trade school for cosmetology and I got a license for it but there is no money in it. I think it all depends on where you live. I’m from rural Indiana where being a hairstylist is hard to do because of there being no money in it. I’m honestly thinking about going to a community college for Dental. I’m just scared there is going to be a lot of math.. I have a learning difference so it’s going to make it harder for me to learn but I will keep pushing until I reach my goals!
God bless you man! Im in my senior year in Highschool and this video just helped me clear things up🙌
Trades means job you don't pay for later. Handyman is about to be the highest paid job in the US by 2025. Go to Electrician AND plumbing school. Some of the PAY YOU TO GO TO SCHOOL.Then you get into flipping houses (Anyone can learn drywall, painting, siding, hanging windows, building decks etc). Easy way to millionaire.
Which Trade Job was your favorite and why? For me, it was the Plumber honestly because of the growth potential.
Ps. Would you Take that 20k and invest it or Get Bachelor?✅

Video Notes:
Student Loan Debt:
A college student on average graduate with over 37,172
Trade job: around 10,000 bucks (3x less)
Salary: Story on the Math on 60k for 16 years = 1million
A college student on average make $50,516
Trade salary can earn between 25,332 ( pause and say Yup that’s what wrong) to 302,440
Unemployment
College Student 53% meaning that more than half cant find a job ( or a job that they didn’t need to go college) It's like having a Ph.D. and being an uber
Trade jobs have one of the highest job growth in America with some of them experience job growth of over 105%
Tommy, It doesn’t Matter: im going to work while in college so I Won't take out loans
Great idea but the average student graduates with 37 in debt
Oh and over 80 Percent of student work will go to class but still can’t afford it
Now if you had put the money that you pay for college which on average is
Low end 20770 bucks per year
Which is 1700 bucks a month for four years at a steady 7% return a year, well that about 92,217 dollars down the train.
And the last tip before I tell you the top 7 trade jobs, is that it doesn’t matter how much money you make it matter how much you keep. And having to wait four years instead of 1 or 2 makes a huge difference.
So now here are the top 7 earning trade jobs and don’t worry I included different ones
#1 If you love teeth you can become a Dental Hygienist
Salary: 54,989 meaning in two years you earn what the average college grad makes. By the time they graduate you earned 100k and if you been working part-time ad another 50k
Tip: If you're passionate about teeth like mom is, and you want to get a job and help people with their oral problem you can do it without a 4-year degree or 8-year degree
Growth: 20% what can I say everyone needs a dentist
#2 if you have attention to detail and are a little strong you can become Plumber
Fun fact I just found out today the word plumber has a B
Salary: 50,349 and if you create your own business it's limitless
Tip: Imagine being an in-demand plumber in the future like uber, I think it's possible
Growth: 16% not going anywhere a lot of technical skills that machines can't do YET
#3 If you like computer and website become a web developer
Salary: 58,448
Tip: Go into business for yourself while you work and get business to pay you monthly to run ads and create a website for them. Between 1000-2000 per business owner
Growth: 15%
Honorable mentions
#4 electrition at 55k
#5 Surgical Technologist 47k
#6 Construction managers 49 - 77 dollars per hour
#7 Aircraft mechanic at 31 -45 per hour
My teachers were honestly the worst people to take financial advice from, especially since they were in financial turmoil like “professions who owe 100 of thousand in loans” and have a ton of consumer debt also.
AOMechMarine AOMechMarine 😂😂and you can be a plumbing business and earn that money without having to do the work. And theirs a few jobs you can't pay me to do and dealing with electricity is one of them ❎
One if the most important factors to a good life are knowing what you want and how you work. Rare skill, happy to hear you have them both
Unless you want run your own business, it seems like it’s impossible to make 7 figures without a degree apart from software engineering.
I tried going into dental hygiene but it's wasn't as easy. In my school they only pick the top 30 out of like 300ppl to enter the program and you'll have to wait until they finish. If you failed 2 classes you're kicked out forever.

College debt really is stressful and a pain in the ass. If things don't work out this freshman year due to debt, education, personal reasons, and etc., I might just quit, pay off my remaining debt from that year by work, and find some other careers related to trade school.

Nate V that’s super great because the teachers from my school sorta encouraged it but they definitely encouraged college over trade schools 100%. They’d encourage trade schools only if a kid said they didn’t want to go to college otherwise they didn’t mention them. You felt like an outcast in class if you didn’t raise your hand when they asked who’s going to go to college.
My high school is a trade school and half of my friends and people that i know already make more money then their parents and some are already buying a house and they are still in their 20s

As a YOUNG tradesman for the last 5Yrs(17-22) let me say this. Thats my 2cents.
EDIT i see everyone putting there wages soo heres mine at 22, this yr im on track to make about 55-65K atleast
I have nice things multiple cars and saving for a home. Honestly its easier because i dont have college debt hanging over my head.
That's a pretty solid wage. And its all about how much you keep not how much you make. Example, you could use that income to transition into more passive income investments while working that job, then eventually be able to retire off the passive income and do a less stressful job. Lol i wish everyone said their salaries in the work area, the employer would have to justify wages more. here's a video on the budget i use to go from $60 bucks to almost 10k per month

I respect this guy's video. I also think hes spot on about a lot of things. But this guy has not live a life of a tradesman. The Amount of work we have the put In on a daily basis is ridiculous. I would have rather gone to college and have debt and have a nice cushy office job. Also I'd like to have sex with all those college girls in parties
what trade do you do?
@@Jewdacris91 i do HVAC. You could Google average HVAC salary aswell itll give you ballpark numbers. Keep in mind if you start new dont expect to be making like 50k+ right off rip. Youll start making 30kish but with overtime youll easily see low to mid 40s. Goodluck.

Trade school I went to Tulsa welding school and I knew some dude that graduated under 10mouths he became a multi millionaire in 2year
a multimillionaire from being a welder?
Stfp you lying
Khali Gee 😂😂
I have been a qualified fabricater/ welder since 2007. Next September I am starting a honours degree in mechanical engineering. I feel it's the best way for me to progress and make more money. As a tradesman I have found that most of the highest paying jobs have zero security, are usually more dangerous or in poor conditions and the good jobs dont pay enough money. I see the engineers on better money plus they sit in a office and they never get their hands dirty. It's my turn to sit on my arse and act like I know it all because I read it in a book.
I feel the same way me as a welder since 2004 I figure I'll go into inspections just not to waste the knowledge I've acquired but at this point I refuse to weld anymore I've gotten my cdl and working painting the traffic lines on roads making what I did as welder in 6months with 6months off cause it seasonal starting my second year now $54/hr is ok with me but working on the road sucks too
i agree with you, if you know your capable of becoming a engineer take it
I have a friend who has a bachelors degree in finance and has been working retail for years because she said it was too hard finding a job ...what a waste
Have taken some college courses and was at a university for almost 2 years, but I left because I was tired of spending money on classes that I wasn’t sure I even wanted to do. I changed my major so many times. Now, I’m working in pest control and making around $40,000-$42,000 a year. It’s good money, but I’m definitely looking at going into trade school. Remember, it’s never too late to go back to school and it’s always good to get into the work field and experience the world.
Remember to reinvest and create passive income, and take courses on creating passive income.
So glad I found your channel. Your content is terrific. Btw, I'm a teacher who tells students to consider both depending on what students want to do.

@@TommyBryson europe.graduateshotline.com/free-education.html
Here you go. After law school, I found out about education abroad places like the Scandinavia offer free education to citizens & international students. All students need to worry about is living expenses. Students that come back to the US will only have to take a fraction of credits & the same exams. I would've owed $70K instead of $280K in school loans.
Ooh wow, big cut in cost. I wonder how many people would be willing to take that big leap to save on loans
@@TommyBryson Yeah, that's a great question. Perhaps there's research done out there that compares ppl that went to school abroad & worked versus those that studied domestically. It would be interesting to see how each group fairs out with it comes to debt & earning potential.
Thats a good video idea, going to school abroad or staying in the state
Went to college and got no where. Those people can suck my nuts.
i want to drop out of college so bad and its only been two weeks
Same lol
