Underrated movie. Definitely did many things better than the original. I feel this movie would have gotten more love had it not called itself a remake. If they called it the more appropriate Kung-fu Kid, I feel people wouldn't have felt like it was trying to replace a movie they love. Both are great, but in different ways.
He (Dre)worked so hard! Phenomenal training/trainer/Mr. Haun & a Phenomenal student/Dre! Damn, he/Dre(Jaden) did his thing! He brought his whole "A" game! (So did Jackie Chan/Mr. Haun)! Phenomenal! ❤
If this movie did better in the box office it might've been recognized as canon in the fan base and we probably would've seen Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan in cobra kai for an episode at least
1:57 yo for a kid that is just training for a movie role, this is incredible flexibility and leg strength on display. This takes many many months of careful training.
Imagine 25 years from now they release a tv show as the sequel of this and just like cobra Kai...we see Cheng in the future who meets Dre again and their rivalry resumes when he decides to bring back the fighting dragons
