Yes ...by accident I came to this video clip. I had seen the movie in the past. At the age of 40 I had tried to get Karate training, I was in India at that time) but our visa call came and landing on the US soil, I had to bear the burden of bringing bread on the table, working basic entry level part time jobs left me no chance to keep going in Karate training. Well, At the age of 73 now, I am taking care of my husband for these last 7-8 years with different ailments and the last one is now cancer where last year I thought after the 12 chemo, he will be done with the treatment, but I was wrong. Now he is told to have chemo every 15 days for life. Sometimes I feel all the burden of his medical treatment running the house, grocery buying, cooking, laundry, cleaning the house and can not work on my passion of childhood. oil painting. So that situation sometimes make me angry inside, though I do all my duties with very positive attitude and never complain. And as if this is a DIVINE message to have respect and attitude what may come! Thanks for the clip and soon we will watch this full movie someday.

No, no it wasn't. Had it not been for Jackie in this movie, it would have bombed big time. Calling a kung fu movie, "The Karate Kid", and the putting the horribly non-talent Jaden Smith as the co-star is so stupid it hurts. Outside of Jackie's performance this movie was unequivocable trash.

Im going to be honest, this doesn't work as well as Miyagis training. Miyagi trained Daniel multiple blocking techniques, and actually corrected Daniel on technique so he would practice it properly. This actually gives Daniel a reason to have faith in Miyagi's teaching before he loses his patience. On the other hand, no one will spend afternoons taking a jacket on and off
When you want to become really good at something, the process of it will test your patience, it will be mundane, and it will be boring, what is important is travel the journey and make it to the other end. You will definitely be a better person. Martial arts is not only about the physical aspect, it is also about right mental conditioning and life discipline and a personality development thing too. Unfortunately most of us see it through a scope of what is visible to our eyes(mostly physical), while it is not the only thing to learn. And that is what both the movies are trying to depict.
