  • A 16mm film i have managed to transfer, of a visit to Blackpool by Mr Teasy Weasy, the hair stylist to the stars. I think this film dates to early/mid 60s. If anyone has any further info on this at all i would be grateful.
The transfer i have done is far from perfect and the last 4 mins are missing where he "attends" to some hair in Gilberts, the sylists he opened off Talbot Square.
See here for the final 4 mins • Raymond Besone (Teasy ...
There seems to be little if no material on YT of Mr TW (real name Raymond Bessone) so this material must be very rare.
The film i located over 25 years ago now from a local person who was clearing out hundreds of Reel/Reel audio tapes and this was in one of the boxes.
The film has been edited together with material from more than one camera, so may have been a local film society production ?
Please feel free to link this clip to any archive website.

I was at a presentation by South African filmmaker Ross Devenish in 2012. Going back over his career he mentioned making a film for Mr Teasy Weasy in the early 1960s. Is this possibly it?

Hi, thanks for your comments, i could be wrong but it is probably not him
If you look at the prog below, there are some clips of Raymond, but looks like it could be part of another film/feature as the quality is excellent, so this could be your film ?
Just out of interest i was contacted by the BBC around my clip last year about using some footage on the feature below and a similar follow up programme,, but it was not used in the end, Regds Andrew

I would judge it dates from 1961 or 1962, as shown by the livery style on the single deck trams. This changed in 1963
