Ford 5.0L Coyote Engine
The Coyote is a 5.0 liter, naturally aspirated V8 engine from Ford Motor used to power sports cars like the Ford Mustang and pickup trucks like the Ford F-150. Featuring a dual overhead cam (DOHC) design, in a V configuration, the Ford Coyote architecture has been part of the Ford Modular family since 2011. The engine has seen some revisions since then, the most recent being in 2018.
This engine was first engineered for the Mustang GT so it could compete with the GM 6.2L LS3 engine used in the Chevrolet Camaro at the time. The Coyote had to remain the same size as the outgoing 4.6-liter V8. It was also Ford’s first implementation of its Twin independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT) technology on a V8 engine, a feature which considerably improves fuel economy and power delivery all while reducing emissions.

Power Tour in that wagon will be sick! So cool to hear that. Way to go Lucky.
Nice, Nice, Nice....
Perfect video drop time, sitting at a job waiting on an inspection so I got lucky to keep me company.
Good stuff!
Major improvement in the looks department now that you got that airtank assembly hidden. Nice job. Also glad you made the tank fill properly from the outside. We'll be watching for it on the tour.
Cool to have all the bits out of sight 👍
Thank you
Lucky I’d just like to say thank you to you for keeping it real….Other car guys videos are now unwatchable as they’re one big commercial advertisement….It’s HORRIBLE….So yeah keep real
Big fan from Australia 🇦🇺👌
👊
Nice work on the wagon upgrades.
Thanks 👍
Looks good Lucky.
Very cool , I totally dig these fabrication videos. You’ve done them in the past and I can definitely relate to these projects. Thanks Lucky for showing us how you do the things you do.
Awesome, thank you!
I love the way you hide the air-ride system! As long as there are sound insulation & carpet, it should be far more quieter!
Ding fries are done 😂, I miss hearing that from you
I say this at work all the time. My favorite is when someone hits something with a BFH and it finally releases
more “good enough for now” shirts pls
Sweet! All kinds of goodness happening! I like your sheet metal brake.
This maybe a off the wall question, but I heard you say it was a 5 gallon air tank. Does the size of reserve tank dictate the size bags and weight of the vehicle?
Love the long roofs!!!
They make crazy cool LED Tail-lites for that Long-roof.
I think I prefer just listening to you work (and comment) without the music.
Dig the tunes.
Thanks!!
Woot! Friday Lucky content!!!!
Nice work
Thanks
Love the Country Sedan!!
Wagon is coming along good. I enjoy watching your clips.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the video Lucky!!
You bet!
I've been looking for a wagon, they are hard to find in Michigan. They are rusted, or scraped for their weight, or like I would buy them to get the big block for other things. You have a great garage full of super cool cars.
and not a ford guy i love the wagon
Like your shirt said good enough for now. Great fab skills.😁👍👍
Thank you 😁
No airride for me.. seen too many mishaps with systems. Plus, although systems have come a long way by ridetec and QA1. It's still flat bed time on air leaks. I chose ridetec coil over 4 link on my 65 SS.
Didn't hear any introduction Lucky,, was your camera man that new sensation from LA called "Clampy Mcgoo " or was that " Styx,?,, he was great,! 😅
The fuel tank and air ride module really look tidy all up under the floor, no detail overlooked, should quiet the operations of fuel pump and air pumps.
"Growing up" in Southern California like I did in the 70's The word stash had a whole nother meaning to it. What are you going to do for a spare.? 6=8.
Lucky do you have a time line on when you are going to blow it apart and repair it? As always great stuff
Are you about to weld, I've never seen you weld
Later Lucky
i wonder why motor trend hasn't looked out for Steve m. he made them money and roadkill comes to mind.
Barrett Jackson too! They are in the perfect position to generate enough money so he can buy a new house and maybe keep one of his project vehicles. He had to sell his current home to cover medical expenses.
Cool videos! what kind of floor jacks do you use?
What color you going to paint it. The original Ford white. Nice project...
Who "approved" the wagon going on Power Tour? Motor Trend?
Well I’m going and needed something to drive
Lucky, really enjoy your videos but wish you would invest in some good sound equipment, Seems that you will be going along fine and turn or look in a different direction and lose the sound, plus you speak so low. Keep up the good work.
Working on it!
Your so slow your putting me to sleep
