This series has been the background noise while i write my final papers for the semester/procrastinate while playing Skyrim. Thank you your suffering, Pikasprey
same, except I had to procrastinate because I was visiting family for a break and didnt have my harddrive, so I have to cram it all (Im going to college for video game art)
My head canon is that the bosses of the Saffron gate guards are being bribed by team rocket to keep people out of the city while they ransack silph co. The guards themselves are just overworked peons so when you come in with a drink as a nice gesture they're like "you know what? You go through kid. My bosses haven't given me a soda in weeks so fuck 'em"
If no-one has mentioned it yet, it's worth pointing out that you get free (well, 1 credit) rare candies in the victory road mart. As many as you want, so you don't need to worry about grinding xp for a team of lvl 100 for the E4, or if you were wanting to take a new team to the E4 you can get them to lvl 100 easy.
I've been really enjojying this series, I'm sad there aren't like 20 more episodes for me to binge 'cuz I've knocked out the last 4 in 2 days! Looking forward to more, this is already my favourite content on this channel.
In my playthrough of Blue Kaizo, I did the trade for Mr Mime for Golbat. He is actually very useful! He is Psychic so he can tank psychic moves from the enemy psychic Pokémon. He can learn Psychic from the TM from Mr Psychics house in Saffron, so he gets a Powerful STAB move that utilizes his decent Special Stat. And it has the chance to lower the opponents special Stat. He is a Trade Pokémon so he gets the EXP bonus boost, so he is easy to level up fast. He made it with me to elite four. He can also learn good coverage moves like Thunderbolt, Thunder, Hyper Beam, and SolarBeam And best part is, since you are just trading to get him, you can save beforehand, and just keep soft resetting until you get him with good or perfect DVs!
38:52 Separate cities being this close to one another is something that happens in the real world all the time. Cities grow larger over decades and centuries, so neighboring cities end up touching each other, without officialy merging together.
in the manga, saffron city is blocked up because of an invisible barrier around the city that is later revealed to be a mr mime owned by a member of team rocket using light screen. its bypassed by using a combination of reds pikachu using substitue (in the manga, substitute creates an energy clone), and blues golduck transmitting the location of reds pikachu to his pokedex to take out the mr mime and regain access to the city
It seems that Pidgeot's DVs (unless base stats are changed) are: HP: 13, ATTAK: 1, DEFENCE:13, SPEED: 8, SPECIAL: 11. So besides very poor ATTACK, other are good, it's very bulky physical (and even special) wall.
Crits are based on the Base Speed of the Pokemon, not current and it isn't related to level, so your Persian is going to crit the same now than at level 100.
@@Joel97_ Just looked it up, apparently the multiplier is (2*(level+5))/(level+5). I think we misunderstood each other there, since you're referring to crit rate.
Oh damn I'm so glad you're playing this. I remember completing a full pokedex on this hack. It's brutal as hell, but always felt rewarding to me for some reason.
Here's an idea for a semi softlock for regular Blue: You get a lvl 100 Ditto as your last pokemon, spend all you money, and still need to beat Giovanni's 8th gym (so you have to beat him to continue the game). You cant overlevel since your already 100. You cant catch anything without money. Your only move is transform on his Rhydon or struggle. But you dont have enough hp to struggle his whole team down. Its technically a beatable fight, but apparently the statistics of winning are 1/1800 due to a very specific sequence of events which must occur in that fight. I saw a youtuber attempt this gym with ditto and it took over 16 hours to win on 4x speed. Edit: you can make this savestate even more evil by making ditto level 2, so they have to train it to a high enough level first before even attempting this fight
In the original Blue Kaizo you needed Surf to get to the Flash house. You had to do that Rock Tunnel maze blind. Levels after Lt. Surge didn't increase so dramatically though. .
@@jonathanbeshansky4932 haha yeah. That concept has always been lost to me though. Dodrio could learn Fly but Charizard couldn’t. Fly was better for in game than Drill Peck is since hardly any trainer switches out.
Yes Dodrio may have better speed, attack, and access to Drill Peck but with paralysis being thrown around willy nilly I would argue that Pidgeot having better bulk and knowing Quick Attack to get KO’s though paralysis could be more beneficial, plus the one turn Razor Wind and eventually Sky Attack are nice
I've done an Eeveelution run of Alpha Sapphire, using my friend to basically transfer over eevee eggs as early as possible. I went with Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Leafeon, Umbreon, and Sylpheon. And that team was amazing. XD I really gained a lot of respect for Leafeon even, turns out it's quite the nice physical sweeper, or at least it was in my game. Leaf Blade and X Scissor were fun =3 So yeah, it's super fun to do. Really recommend it.
Never any love out there for Mr. Mime. His learnset is fine and he is decently fast. I guess if it doesn’t have recover and 200 base special it is unusable.
I saw the first episode here on RUclips and got so hype I couldn't wait for the others and have been watching on twitch which I never do. Is it better for you if I watch here or twitch?
Regarding Mr mime in Gen 1, I didn't use it in that game but I did use it in leaf green as a calm mind, substitute mon and it was pretty solid but could never hold a candle to kazam
Surge isn't that strong because he could be skipped. Starting at gym three, each leader has 6 pokemon with all their levels being lvl (badge number)+9. So surge is 39, Erika is 49, and Giovanni is 89. So no, surge isn't higher because he's supposed to be fought later

Hey dont know if you know this but you can only have one major status on a pokemon at a time. Major ststus meaning one that persists after battle on the overworld. So a.poke cant be burnt and slept at the same time. Also in gen1 you can only have one poke slept in your party at a time, pokes slept by rest dont count towards this total. So if you get slept switching is helpful. :) thanks for the content.
