  • Sea fishing from the Beach on a glorious Sunny day. It’s Spring now here in Sussex so I’ve packed the rigs with beads and lugworm. I’m casting out my continental beach rods as far as I can.
The Plaice fishing has been a bit hit and miss but I wanted to make the most of the weather and I really appreciate how Sea fishing improves my mood or as one calls It nowadays, mental health.
If you like this video then maybe you will find this one fun too.
As always please feel free to comment and join in and even chat amongst yourselves. As I say in the video I do encourage comments.

    Stop using braid
Thats the reason you miss bites and fish
Fish dont get hooked and drop off
    Please try it
I stopped using it years ago ,and my catch rate went up
Use a good brand 0.25 mono about 8-10lb ,and 80lb braid shockleader
I like Suffix tourneo or Daiwa sensor as mailine ,berkley whiplash 100 lb as shocker.
Ok you need to change your line regurlary, 8£ for 1500 meter ,cheap as chips
Why do people want to see bites ,if they sit on their hands ,knowing not to touch the rod
Little tip from the lowlands of the Kingdom of Flanders in Belgium

Interesting. I fished for a few years to compare the two so one rod braid and one mono. Will give this some thought

Funny that's what I like about fishing! You can learn so much from chatting especially when you're young and new to fishing.
What I DON'T like is the number of idiots with dogs sniffing around your gear and pissing everywhere.
Luckily I don't get that much at night 😅😅

    Very impressive video.
But may i offer just a tad of advice.
As a retired tournament caster I'd step up to the greentop lead yeah i know but if your rod will cast them there is a good reason..
Using a greentop will actually SLOW down your cast it will of course add valuable yards which if you start fishing in gullies will keep you there when your pushed back up the shingle by the tide..
Of course you'll need to step up to 80lb mono as leader but using say a 20lb braid the heavier leader won't impede distance at all..
Plus just one final tip. As you release the cast try lowering the rod as the lead decends allowing for the line to peel thru the rings with no friction.
Another tip to give you 2 or 3 more yds.... which could be vital to find those fish..
Like I said cracking video. 😉👍

1st of all, I think you'd better check your tackle box. You've left your go pro on.🤔😂😂
Nice video. Informative, educational,👏👏👏 especially where you show us how not to cast.🤣🤣
But hey, I'd rather be a crap caster and catch fish,😀 than a good caster who blanks.🥺
    Love the drone footage.❤️
Nice mark, nice weather, peace and quiet and a couple or three, (sorry John), 😂, fish.
Sounds like a good day to me.🎣🎣🎣😎

Lovely bit of a sun and a few fish, what more could you ask for. Hopefully the sun will continue and warm the water, I guess it won't be too long until the Bass appear on the lures. Last week at a local Kent mark there were Baitfish chasing and bumping my gravity stick amongst the boulders so the Bass can't be too far away now.

Hi mate I'm quite new to sea fishing on the bottom with lugworm. Does the tide really matter when doing this type of fishing? I've always remembered from my childhood that you have to sea fish at high tide, but maybe I'm wrong. Cheers. Great video and nice catch by the way.

    • @SaltwaterAngler
      @SaltwaterAngler  Год назад

Each venue is different. Generally movement of tide is more important and again generally the slack water at high tide isn’t as good. Always exceptions fishing low tide up presents many advantages from knowing the ground and what your fishing over to using the fastest part of the tidal run. Look at a proper tide graph and you can the tide doesn’t come in equally as quickly.
